Bro 😂😂😂 that’s fine I don’t even think Super Mario on scratch 5 is my best game anymore anyways, Super Mario on Scratch 5 Elevated is basically a better version of that game
I'm the person who recommended both the PVZ recreations at 1:40. Just wanted to talk about a few things from what I experienced when I played both games (Not speaking for the developer himself. I just like the games) PVZ Fangame Demo is his most feature complete out of the two, but suffers cause of lag and is extremely bloated overall (I was one of the few people who playtested it as well!) Bitmap PVZ Wild is his more recent and polished project. It has FPS good enough to be played in Scratch (But still recommended to play in Turbowarp mainly due to sprite fencing), but is still a huge WIP as it only has one level (I guess that's where remixing comes into play!). What I love about this game is that it has a clever animation engine wherein each part is its own costume. And those parts are stitched together in a large list to be displayed in the screen (I am heavily oversimplifying it. But it's really good!)
Ggenije, thank you for covering great Scratch games. You are one of the people who put quality over quantity. Also, I found out that pen is very useful for many things. I at some point want to create games in C without game engines and without libraries either, so I hope doing complex things with pen, and maybe even lists too, can give me experience for when I try to make games in C.
@@ggenije I wanted to start with C first because I've heard people talk about it being one of the best programming languages to learn as a beginner. But C++ I know is very fast and has many extensions on C. I think I should consider learning C++ as well.
i was really hoping flyingdino made it in (was hoping for average routine specifically) and they did!! One of my favorite scratch creators, they’re so talented
This is actually a pretty comprehensive list! I was surprised that almost all the games I could think of and even several I'd forgotten about were on the list. I can only think of a few games that I would add to the list: Goomble Gurt, Monster Miners, Fight Fire with Fire, Lucky's World, and 3D Star Wars 0.9.1-2. Highly recommend that people check them out.
Thanks for making this video, there's some bangers on the list i need to try. I can vouch for Asher 2, Chirpy Reverie, RendHeaven's games... and yes, SFRT is the best platform fighter on Scratch :)
Fun fact I wanted to put in about Bitmap PVZ Wild and PVZ Fangame Demo because I LOVED those games since the beginning. They were made by the same person, just on an alt account!
12:27 I've already said it on Scratch, but thanks so much for putting BS2 onto the list! (I honestly didn't at all expect it to be that high either!) Also note here for anybody (nobody) who's interested in the project and confused here: I unshared the public beta some time ago. The final game's releasing later this month though!
@@ggenijethank you so much I've been trying to find this again for like 3 years, also by any chance do u know the channel of the developer cause I remember they have a channel

Don't be down on yourself. Programming is something that takes lots of practice to get good at. Looking back, my first projects were simple, boring games that had graphics as bad as the code (even though I was proud of them at the time). Now, somehow I've made the top 100 list. So don't be discouraged by those who have simply practiced longer; It could be you someday. Scratch on!

If you insist on making your engine use C++ not C. But you'll need 10+ years of experience to be good in C++
