Thanks, 14 F150 throws the driver side door actuator every 6 months, went to change that tonight and the ac just stopped blowing! Just ordered this part over night and hopefully this gets my AC blowing and working again. Because it’s hot in Jax FL right now!

Thank you so much for posting this video! Mid-way thru the hottest July on record here in Chandler, AZ my fan decided it would not go any fast than mid-speed. $30 and 10 minutes later it was fixed! Your video made it easy!! I regret I did not do this earlier!!

Great video! I was able to replace the resistor module on my 2014 F-150 XLT in about five minutes. Thank you so much!

That box is the the ac condenser box. The blower motor is underneath of all that. You access it from the floorboard

FYI : running the blower on high, especially when adjusting modes, can break the actuators, and doors.

Just for giggles I called the local Ford dealer service dept and asked them how much to replace the fan blower control module. They said they would have to diagnose it first. They said it could be cause by a few thins including the resistor, the blower fan control module among others. My blower just blows full blast as soon as you turn the climate control system on, even on auto. It should not blow at all until it warms up for heat.

Just an FYI, it isn't necessarily the resistor that goes bad. My blower stopped working and I replaced the resistor and then and still only have high. As it turns out, it looks like the solid state electronics that are behind all of the controls in the dash has gone bad as my AC has stopped working as well. From the research that I have done, it seems as though this is a very common problem with the F150s. Now mind you, my truck doesn't have the manual turn knobs, it has everything built into the Navigation touch screen as well as manual style rocker switches in the front panel. I did notice when all of this started going wrong that the knob for the radio volume started flickering on occasion so I am also guessing that something within the solid state electronics went bad and burned out. Just wanted to put that out there for others that may be having the same issue. I have also had to change one of the blend door actuators and not the easy one that is behind the radio, just my luck that it was the lower one completely behind the center console by the floor. Usually the whole dash has to be removed but I managed to get it changed without having to do that and it wasn't easy by any stretch LOL.

That's great info! I don't have much experience with the touch screen controls on newer F-150s, so it's good to know all the COULD go wrong with them. Blend door actuators are a massive pain to change out in any vehicle. It's good you were able to get to it without ripping up the dash. Luckily, I don't ever have to use the blend door as the only settings I need are for A/C in the top vents. Florida is hot all the time.

you should show how you got the screws out. That was the hardest part of the entire process

The thing you replaced is a resistor. The control module is on the console where you turn the AC on and off and control the blower speed. FYI, if you change the resistor you may want to change the blower motor as well.

Good idea. The motor is pretty accessible from underneath the passenger dash.

Mine will adjust speed, but when switched to the off position, it never really turns off. Just goes to low speed. Could it be the module?

I just bought a used 2013 and the problem I just noticed is the AC comes on it’s own. Since I am in Texas, AC is always on, but this fall has been cool and I don’t need to run the AC, but it comes on its own without me being close to the control display screen.

In my case blower was blowing warm air when AC was on. Could this be stuck blowing warm air?
