Queen Maxima is my favorite European royal! She is so comfortable in her own skin and - let's be real - can rock an enormous tiara! The Stuart is gorgeous and her dress (stunning) brought out the pale blue color of that ginormous diamond. By contrast, I can't stand the Peacock Ruby Tiara. Ugh - Maybe it would be more attractive with just diamonds rather than rubies? That said, Catherine-Amalia is beautiful and wore the Peacock Ruby Tiara so well! I've seen in the press how much she loves jewelry. Can't wait to see how she wears the Dutch collection. You go, girl!
Wow! Queen Maxima brought it! I love her powder blue gown especially with that massive diamond piece in the center. Just gorgeous. Also loved seeing beautiful Princess Amalia at her first state event. Bummer to hear about Queen Letizia's discomfort with her feet. She looked stunning as always and I loved her tiara. 👑
Beautiful! Once again, thank you for the historical background of the tiaras and jewelry. I agree with the voters - I’m in love with the tiara Queen Letizia wore! I don’t really go for the ultra-high “big gun” tiaras like the Stuart. Kudos to the Dutch royals who have retired, or weren’t in the next generation of monarchs for wearing more modest tiaras. They had their days in the sun and are graciously allowing their successors to shine.
I’m hoping that maybe Catherine can!! They need to experiment a bit more like the other families do. It doesn’t help though that the Brits have a sort of system where you get the tiaras you are given, and that’s it. I think it’s limiting! In other families, they pretty much share everything except for the really big tiaras. Those are always for the Queen! Thanks for watching!!
Love this Brittany. I thought Queen Maxima looked lovely and I agree with you about the dress. Queen Letizia always looks wonderful. I did like the more delicate tiara. Princess Amalia will be fun to watch over the next few years.
The state banquet was an amazing experience to watch. I love Queen Letizia in the diamond loop tiara and her colbat blue dress is beautiful. But I agree with the fact that the queen sitting made dress look like it wearing her. But The Princess of Orange looked amazing in her blue cape dress. Plus that Ruby peacock tiara is so beautiful and the fact that you can take the peacock tail off the frame and wear it is so cool. The history of each tiara is very interesting and I thank you for that. Btw The menu sounded fancy and I bet all that food was delicious. my favorites were the herb crusted fillet of lamb, The tomato consomme, and The Caramel tartlet with that crumble and chocolate sauce. Mmm so yummy. I would love to try that dessert.
I love Dutch people. They are very friendly. I specifically love the Dutch royal family. I think they sincerely love each other and have fun. It is a joy to watch them. Thank you so much for this video, dear Brittany. XX
I do not like her taste at all , as she dresses like a matronly older lady and not a young woman . It is a shame as she has exquisite skin and is very pretty .
Queen Max maximised the blue of the Stuart diamond by her dress color. I love how the Europeans share tiaras within the family. Also it’s great that they keep visiting each other to show off their bling!
I just wanted to say, Thank You. I have learned so much from you about the European Royal Families. I am now a big fan of Maxima, and I hope that we get to see the movie about her here in America. I absolutely love her in the Stewart Tiara! ❤
That blue diamond is absolutely magnificent! Queen Beatrix let it rest in the vaults for years so that the expectation was great when Queen Maxima busted it out. The thing is that even though both tiaras are late 19th century creations, the Stuart design is not as pretty as the Queen Maria Cristina's pearl and diamond platinum tiara. That design is much more pleasing to the eye, even though the Stuart diamond is truly amazing. I find that the Ruby Peacock tiara and its corresponding "mirror" necklace is very well done, better than the mirrored parures of the Japanese royal family. Theirs are always diamonds and pearls with no other stones, and the mirroring is way too exact, making the look a bit too bland- if there is such a thing a "bland" diamond and pearl parure! 😊 I loved to see that the senior ladies were present and looking great. I also loved to see that Princess Amalia is always checking to see that her grandmother is ok. ❤
I agree with you, Maxima for sure looked the best. Even though to Stuart is so big, Maxima carries it off perfectly; They looked friendly enough with the Spanish RF, but nothing beats the M&M dynamics of the Belgian state visit :)
Very good presentation. Thank you. A real historic state visit considering the centuries old connection between our lands. Also historic is mentioning the fact since the reign of Queen Juliana ( 1948-80) the full Stuart tiara has been displayed inside the Netherlands. HRH the Princess of Orange Catherina Amalia looked stunning with the 2 biggest pieces of the Peacock parure. the tiara and the necklace. Havent been seen together since Princes Irene wore the set frequently in the 60's and 70's. As you might know Irene received the jewels at the 18th BD of her sister Beatrix from her grandmother princess Wilhelmina in 1956. As the birthday girl received nothing, but kept her head and eternal smile up high congratulating her sister with the gift. Thats how true Queens are formed. Greetings from the NLD's
Our former Queen Beatrix was more of a ‘hat’ person, yet I think the Diamond Bandeau is just perfect for her. Her hairstyle was iconic, so it hardly ever changed. A subtle yet precious tiara like the Diamond Bandeau perfectly complimented that.
I wouldn't call Maxima the ultimate queen. She has spectacular jewels, and obviously loves to use them, a lot, and all at once, not unlike Sylvia of Sweden, but she's far from elegant.
Thank you for thisepisode I absolutely love European Royalty jewels. More please. A suggestion. The divine Queen Maxima's "Tutti Frutti" which sadly she rarely wears. I would give anything for a Cartier made Tutti Frutti necklace like the one they made for Daisy Fellowes in 1936.
Máxima es tan elegante y tiene un porte increíble! El broche q llevaba en el vestido gris quedaba increíble con la tiara Stuart. Estoy orgullosa de ella y la siento todavia un poco argentina.
Hi Brittany, great enthusiastic video again! Love your extensive knowledge on the subject but I have just one small correction: the Ruby Peacock Tiara wasn’t given to Princess Irene by Queen Juliana but by her grandmother, then Princess Wilhelmina (Juliana’s mother and former Queen) in either 1959 or 1960. She did this completely unexpectedly during her own birthday celebration at Paleis Het Loo where she lived until her death. Everyone was totally amazed (Princess Irene included) that she did that. And no one dared say anything about it. It somehow eventually got back in the familie trust . Keep up the good work, love your videos and enthusiasm ❤
I wish Princess Leonor had been present! Two future Queens, two present Queens, and a former Queen in the same room together would've been really historical. And lets not forget Princess Sofia would've been nice standing next to the former Queen's sister. But overall everyone looked lovely! I especially loved the ruby peacock tiara paired up with the dark blue dress - it popped!

The Laurel Wreath Tiara is Beatrix's. She was given the tiara for her 18th birthday by her parents, and frequently loans it to her sister. Like you, I am a total Maxima stan. @@cathyblackhall5237 I still don't get it because plenty of State Banquets at BP and Windsor Castle are filmed and quite often the speeches are live on TV. Obviously nobody wants to watch them eating!
But it's only one small film team and perhaps even just one photographer. The lighting is bad so you don't tend to get good pictures. Catherine wore the Strathmore Rose tiara for the first time in about 100 years and you couldn't really see it very well, which was hugely disappointing. Given that there were more photographers and videographers allowed into the event in the Netherlands, we got different angles of the event and close ups. In comparison, you usually never see Catherine at the table as, for a while, her place within the pecking order meant she was sat further back and they would only occasionally feature her for a couple of brief seconds. Those videos were always shadowed and never very good. In other families we get close ups and great shots of the tiaras glittering, so we can really make out the details. We can also see the receiving line as they welcome people to the dinner or even an opportunity for everyone to have a group shot, even the more minor royals in attendance. If you watch the others, the differences really do become apparent. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!!
Good morning everyone. 👋👋👋 So happy to see previous queen, her highness princess Beatrix again. (Just because I am Beatrix as well, from my Dutch ancestry 😊) ♥️🌹🐝
The Peacock semi parure was ordered by Queen Emma in 1897. Tiara, necklace and brooch. The earrings, ring and bracelet Amalia used are part of the Mellerio Ruby parure of Queen Emma. Juliana never gave it to her 2nd daughter Irene. But her mother Queen Wilhelmina did. Later on Queen Juliana constructed in July 1963 the Orange Nassau jewelry foundation. But the Peacock parure stayed in possession of Princess Irene. Because she never uses it anymore she gave it on permanent loan. That is why Pss Beatrix, Q Máxima and now Pss Amália are able to use it on various special tiara occasions. Note that Queen Wilhelmina had no pierced ears and hated earrings that is why most of the earrings they use are still the ones King Willem III gave to his young wife Queen Emma or the ones that Queen Juliana had made out of the 2nd dismantled blue sapphire and diamond parure.
Princess Amalia is definately showing her future Queen vibes. Our lovely Queen Maxima is just stunning as usual. Nice to see Princess Margriet in there as well.

The King of the Netherlands is not called "Wilhelm" as you pronounce it (that's the German pronunciation), but Willem-Alexander.
It's joyas de pasar, the j pronounced as an English h. Meaning jewels to be forwarded, as opposed to jewels owned privately. The former will always be kept as jewels for the new queen, or consort, when the current one passes away, the jewels belong to the crown. Hi, a question which has nothing to do with this…. But we discussed a few days ago; did Meghan Markle ever wear a tiara (other than the one from her wedding) at any royal event while she was still a working member of the RF?” I say no, but other say she must have???
The Spanish royal family was not disposed by General Franco they were disposed by the people of the Spanish people as they wanted a republic at then. General Franco was a monarchist.

Actually, that is not true. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at the official State Visit between The Netherlands and Argentina wore a strapless dress. It's one of my favorites and I believe I showed it in the video. So actually no, you are wrong. Perhaps that's the British approach, but the other families tend to be more laid back. Loved Queen Maxima’s dress and was very pleased to see a stomacher worn really well for once. I didn’t see the poll or I would have voted for Queen Maxima, absolutely! The Stuart Tiara was breathtaking as always! I do love Queen Letizia’s tiara as well. The dress just swallowed her, unfortunately. Princess Catharine-Amalia was lovely, but I was disappointed in the necklace not being worn outside the cape. Thank you Brittany!!! ♥️ Jessica
It's the constant heels and stiletto wearing that eventually wreaks havoc on people's feet. The queens and princesses could do us all a favour by insisting on pretty, but comfortable shoes. There's an enormous market for such shoes out there!
Darling, your knowledge of Spanish history is poor. General Franco did not depose King Alfonso XIII who left the country in 1931 ahead of the proclamation of the second Spanish republic. Franco was instrumental to the Borbonic restoration of 1975. Sometimes silence can be better than words

Maxima’s hair was gorgeous during the banquet!
It looked a mess. It looked greasy and stringy. She's had this problem for a while now. I'm not sure she even travels with a stylist.
@@ITSONLYMEWATCHINGWhat ? 😳. No !
Her bun is fake. Sorry!
Love the tiara and very proud of Queen Maxima viva Argentina 🇦🇷 ❤️
I LOVE History... I LOVE Tradition ... I LOVE the Royals !! TkU for an awesome video !!🙏👑💜🥰
Glad you enjoyed!!
I’m all Amy on Big Bang Theory, about Tiaras 🎉😍 I love that you shared that clip, maybe use on your Tiara Tuesdays? 🙏 Or Thursday in this case?
Oh you bought me a tiara, that indeed was extremely funny.
Thank you for Tiara Tuesday. I love the jewelry and your detailed descriptions and history. You are doing a fantastic job!
I love how she makes everything so much fun!
Yes, it’s so amazing and so, so fun!!
♥️ Jessica
I love that you talk about riyal fashion and tiara! I just live sparkling stuff.😊
I’m not a fan of the peacock tiara. 🫤
I love these videos. It not only satisfies my obsession with tierras but is very informative.
Beautiful tiaras! I love the sparkle from all the tiaras. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I absolutely love this particular video Ms Brittany. The young princess looked stunning! Is it ok to ask you what your thesis is for your Ph.D.? And how you are progressing? Thank you for allowing us to see your growth as a youtuber and more as well. Congratulations on all of your success young lady! Respectfully...
I love Letizia's tiara ❤
