The confidence to hit as hard as you can on those plug lies on the upslope is hard.
Paddy is awesome - thoughtful, personable and very entertaining. Contrary to some comments here, I disagree that being a great golfer makes you a good teacher or being a mediocre player means you can't teach. Frequently great athletes can't convey or translate what they do because they are gifted and specific about what works for them. Mediocre athletes can make good instructors because they understand the struggle and what might work when you aren't immensely talented. What sets, Paddy apart is that he is a great player AND a golf nerd. He is obsessed with the why's and how's of golf and not just for his own game. He observes amateurs and similar to analyzing his own game, he observes what does and doesn't work for them. You'll notice that he'll frequently say there are alternate ways to approach problem or swing and that what a pro does vs. an amateur soften an unrealistic comparison. I've followed Paddy, only recently found his video collection, and have already incorporated his teachings to improve my game successfully.

Great videos, really appreciate them. Regarding the ball moving to the right, I think it is some influence from the transition in the club from the face to the hosel. The sand pushes the ball out perpendicular to the face, but since the ball is plugged and the club is penetrating deeper into the sand, this transition area also pushes out sand perpendicular to its surface which is pointing right of the club face. I think this is putting a little bit of force to the right on the sand pushing the ball giving the ball that little bit of rightward travel relative to the face.
