Moved to Hercules, CA after I got transferred to a Vallejo office and definitely one of the worst things in the Bay Area is the traffic. The stopped traffic and stop n' go going into SF from 280 and 101 was the absolute worst, especially going in from Foster City. So glad Silicon Valley had people go work at home, lol.

I first moved out for a year at 18, came back at 19, spent three years home again and then moved out again at 22. I moved to San Diego trying to start a new life with the person I was dating at the time. I'm 27 now. 5 years later, I'm still living in San Diego, not with the person I was with originally, but with someone new. I love San Diego, but 5 years away from SF feels like long enough. Thank you for this video. I came upon it just randomly--I abruptly left San Francisco at the start of the pandemic, in March. I thought it would just be for a couple months, then I'd be back. But, well, we've all seen how the situation has spiraled out of control. Watching this video took my breath away, was a weirdly (or maybe not so weirdly) emotional experience, and renewed in me that ache of homesickness but also a wave of grief. How much things are changing, have changed in just a few months. I miss the city: the familiarity of the streets, the glittering night skyline from the Bay Bridge, and grieve for the way things were six months ago, before any of us had any idea what was to come.

Great video, thank you for sharing. I live in San Francisco, and have tried doing this from my car, but my camera, tethered to passenger seat keeps bouncing every time I hit a small bump.
I have the camera mounted to the headrest post. Canon Vixia HF-G50 4K
Could you give me any insight, as to how to make such a smooth video? Thanks again for posting a great video.
Sf skyline has changed so much im pretty lucky to have help build these towers poured alot of concrete slabs the one i remember the most was the Salesforce tower the view from the top was something else

Thanks for this. I lived in SF for several years and have been missing it.
relaxing to see my own city :P nice work
Such a beautiful American city. I went a few times as a kid.
Very good video friend, excellent.👍🤗
I used to live in the Bay Area and had driven this route countless times. I loved driving on the new Bay Bridge and always marveled at its beauty. I never was able to capture such smooth footage of the drive. Thank you for sharing this. Brings back great memories.
thank you very much for sharing all your great content!
cheers from germany!
Thanks. I miss the City since I moved away. It's very strange to see it so empty. Its usually bustling all night. Hope it comes back again. One good thing, the roadwork can be done without the usual traffic madness in the way. (Trying to put a good spin on this Corona craziness we're experiencing).
For a year I lived in Marin and work in my lab at Fairchild in Menlo Park. To avoid possible prying eyes around work (confidential work) I chose to drive thru the City at 4:30am and 3:00pm. Even then it was never that "vacant".
great video! I lived there 20 years ago! great memories!
havent been there in years.. miss SF so much...
you have been killing it lately
San Francisco has that European touch with it With American charm love from Mumbai India 😍
And your city has touch with all India. I lived in Kandivelly one year

Can I just say your drives are very refreshing for somebody who has not hit the States, have you ever tried to go to the Tv channels in the States maybe Discovery??And also what is the motor you are driving???Once again these are really moment to treasure, when in an age before there were photos your travelogues are a step up into the future!!
I miss going to san francisco ❤️❤️ wish we’ll come back soon ❤️
Oh I want to travel here again!!
I remember making these drives to visit the hospital day after day, gray times
Quite the beautiful city when there's no people around.
The Coronavirus just makes cities dead.
