@@sparrowhawk5673 you might be right, but I can tell you that many people prefer urban areas like San Francisco to rural areas for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include: Convenience: Cities like San Francisco offer many conveniences and amenities that are difficult to find in rural areas, such as a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions. Job Opportunities: Major cities like San Francisco are often home to a large number of job opportunities in a variety of industries, making it an attractive option for those looking to start or advance their careers. Diversity: Cities are typically more diverse than rural areas, both in terms of the people who live there and the things to see and do. This can be appealing to people who enjoy a mix of cultures and experiences. Excitement: For some people, the fast-paced energy and excitement of city life is preferable to the slower pace of rural life. That being said, rural areas also have their own unique attractions, such as open spaces, scenic beauty, and a stronger sense of community. Ultimately, the choice between city and rural living is a personal one that depends on an individual's priorities and preferences.

its changing. the large mall downtown is talking about closing. and a commerical loan for 3,000 hotel rooms downtown may go into default very soon. so the cost should be dropping
Depends on what you consider "living". I remember reading years ago that a family of 4 with an annual income of $100k-$120k is considered a low income family. An uncle of mine lived in San Francisco about 11 years ago for about 1 year. He had to rent a place with at least 4-5 other people just to make rent.
@@raceboy9517 there’s a certain neighborhood in San Francisco called the Tenderloin District where homeless reside, and shoot up and poop. And right wing media loves to make that area seem as if the whole city of San Francisco looks like that.

I lived there until very recently; homeless are everywhere; crime is rampant; derelicts everywhere. It pains me to say these things; but it is not a safe place. 35,000 car smash and grabs in one year; shoplifting up to 950$ is not a crime. Just be very careful if you go there. I am glad I'm out...
I was always better on my feet or taking MUNI/BART than driving around SF. However, the scenic views driving at night whilst bumping your favorite night songs is something else.. First five to six minutes is just amazing with jaw dropping picture quality - the actual ambiance represent in the video just perfect - the sea - the city in horizon reflecting with sun light - merging from nature to city - just Wow, great production.
btw, this first part is all filmed in the wee early morning hours just at/before sunup (look at all the headlights still on) , which is nice, though it shows a false picture of easy traffic conditions. i’d also note from this viewing and actual recent experience that freeway speed limits closer to the Autobahn are now in effect. a total disregard for the law is especially evident on the highways of Kalifornia. and usually not a cop to be seen. just sayin’…

Athens Greece and Mexico City. Then I said to my self (WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD )
I can tell that you carefully set out a route to showcase some of the city's incredible beauty. Fantastic videography. Thank you for giving me a much-needed flashback. // Request: go back there and do a few daytimes drives. Pacific Heights, Buena Vista Park, Noe Valley, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Park, etc. The city is way too amazing to lose much of it in the dark of night.
Definitely the most beautiful city in the Americas in my opinion, even if Quebec City comes close; definitely in my top 5 worldwide. I guess my top 5 (in no particular order) would be Turin, Valencia, Auckland, San Francisco and Copenhagen, with Hamburg and Melbourne as honorable mentions.
Didn’t realize how much I miss SF until I started watching this. Had a lot of family there so we visited a lot when I was a kid, but now very few left as almost everyone moved away. Thanks for the drive!
Beautiful drive on one of those extraordinarily pristine fall days in the Bay Area. This really made me quite homesick, retired as I am in Palm Springs, so thanks so much for this nostalgic trip as I anxiously await wonderful future videos from Asia.
So after watching the whole video, I have to say, San Francisco is honestly a lot better than I expected. A lot of people talk crap about the city but I would rather live there than in NYC.
The only people that talk crap about San Francisco is Fox News. And it's because Nancy Pelosi is the city's representative. There's a political angle behind that. There are slums in the city, like any city, but the vast majority of it is drop dead gorgeous.
I wouldn't recommend California first. It's a beautiful state but houses 4/5 of the US homeless population it's a little crazy at the moment. They are in the middle of a housing crisis.

@@sparrowhawk5673 you might be right, but I can tell you that many people prefer urban areas like San Francisco to rural areas for a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons include:
Convenience: Cities like San Francisco offer many conveniences and amenities that are difficult to find in rural areas, such as a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and cultural institutions.

How much money would you have to make to live in San Francisco.
its changing. the large mall downtown is talking about closing. and a commerical loan for 3,000 hotel rooms downtown may go into default very soon. so the cost should be dropping
Depends on what you consider "living". I remember reading years ago that a family of 4 with an annual income of $100k-$120k is considered a low income family. An uncle of mine lived in San Francisco about 11 years ago for about 1 year. He had to rent a place with at least 4-5 other people just to make rent.

To listen to Fox news, you'd think the Bay area was in total anarchy and chaos. Nope ... looking rather peaceful and together. Great engineering abounds and we shouldn't take it so much for granted.
Like how cnn portrays red states the other way.
Very true.
Fox News literally says there’s so many tents and homeless that you can’t walk on the sidewalks. But there’s plenty of clean and walkable areas.
@@comercole1940 The homeless problem needs solving. Interim measures need to be taken. I think unused cruise ships could provide housing, among various other solutions.
