@@kevilyncalderon5531 I think this would work well with chicken breast, especially since it's well seasoned it will perk up the chicken breast which can be a little bland. I'd leave the skin on to keep it moist. Sometimes I put a few pats of butter under the skin for that reason, too. Being Southern, I can always find an excuse to use more butter and spices! I love that she's using a proper amount of smoked paprika. Most recipes tend to use "pinches" of paprika when 2 tsps is what it really needs.
Great recipe! I tried this tonight. I used 1/3 each coriander, sage, thyme for herbs. I used bone in/skin on thighs and let them broil in the oven for a few minutes at the end. My husband said the rice was crack, it was so good hahaha THANK YOU!

I pulled the chicken quarters out the freezer this morning and whilst I was out all day, my family had already eaten dinner. Im really hungry and didnt know how I wanted to make the chicken. Did a UA-cam search and stumbled across this gem. Now I have something to eat and dinner ready for tomorrow night as well haha. New subbie!

I made this last night because I bought some thighs and had a mental block for something different. This was so easy and delicious. I loved it especially the rice. The rice browned well at the bottom of the non stick pot and thats the best part. SUPER GOOD THANK YOU.
I cooked this up yesterday and was real good. I added some chilli powder and chilli flakes to the rub and was so tasty. Going to try it with peppers, corn, pea's and a scotch bonnet or 2 next. Respect girl 👊

I have made this dish enough that I have the recipe memorized! Gave you another view to see if I missed anything and nope I got it perfect! I use boneless, skinless thighs and add a bag of frozen broccoli for some veggies. Everyone in the family likes it! Thanks for the recipe!
@@veroka7851 Decently fluffy. You can simmer the pan on a lower temperature to give it longer to cook to help with the fluffiness. Just make sure the rice is fully cooked as nothing worse than grainy rice in a dish like this.

Yummy. I just made this but did a little adjusting, I added creole seasoning in addition to the seasonings you named, I used bone in chicken thighs, because when I was at the store I didn’t come across this recipe just yet, I used a pan instead of a skillet and whenever I use onions in recipes I always buy a sweet Vidalia onion& I used half of it. I also was in a rush so I bought chicken broth instead of stock and family dollar was out of low sodium and I substituted the basmati for jasmine rice, which surprisingly I found at family dollar for $1.75. This recipe has my kitchen smelling so fragrant and I can’t wait to eat it

I made this and stupidly used cayanne in place of the paprika, and then decided to add the paprika because "why not?" It was a little spicy, but still very delicious! I actually enjoyed the rice more than the chicken. Next time I make this I'm going to pay closer attention to what seasonings I grab. Thank you!
