TREAT THAT LEG CUT RIGHT NOW! I ignored a metal cut just like that a few years ago and almost lost my life. It's a shame. Many restoration projects there.
Im from russia and speak not so well but I say that so pretty cool to save nice old cars and save lives for homeless kitten n dogs I love this people so much
I love your old Thunderbird!! Oh my if I was younger. That sweet ride needs a frame off. I’d make that a daily driver. They are so comfortable. Like the Riviera’s and Oldsmobiles! Sweet. I’m 74, and so tired. But I can dream! 🥸😬👍
Silas makes salvage yards cool! I love his videos because he is so genuine and he explains why he does what he does. Thanks for saving cars where you can and for recycling those which have no use. Keep up your awesome channel!
All scrap yards are cool. Just depends on how you look at them. I see a treasure trove. Steve Magnante calls them a classroom. So it is all in the eyes of the beholder.
I once owned a '77 Plymouth Volare wagon with a 225 Slant-6 and a 4-speed on the floor, just like the one shown @ 9:17. What a great car that was! With 225K miles on it, the motor and trans were still going strong when the car died of rust rot. Of all places, the rust started at the point where the post behind the passenger door meets the roof. Cars in that era weren't undercoated and the rust spread like wildfire to the roof supports and even the frame. I was just a kid, too dumb to figure out how to stop it. The end came when I hit a huge pothole and the car literally broke in half!
You know you're old when you can remember seeing commercials for these vehicles (60s and newer)! I worked for an auto auction from '79-'86 so I drove a lot of these vehicles. Time marches on. Great trip down memory lane 😉 Stay safe and GOD bless
Truthfully I know absolutely zero about cars but I enjoy watching you do your thing with them. I kind of like the old 50’s cars because that’s my childhood years. Stay warm Silas!
I don't know how many people have told you Silas - the Customline is a 54. The body panels on a 52 thru a 54 are all the same as you know. The speedometer and clustered instruments are the same on 52's and 53's. the 54 has the instruments and speedometer in one unit. As always, great video. I never knew how really involved the scrap business is. Thanks to you, ALL of us that watch your very informative video's, have a better idea of what the old cars we own are REALLY worth.
jay leno has a tornado like the one you have. i love old cars, but you have to have more dollars than sense to fix them. when i was growing up, all we had were old used cars that are now antiques. my old man sold a 1948 dodge for $12 because it had a good battery!
I have a 57 Buick that I hot-rodded a few years ago - It is only the entry level 57 Buick's and Oldsmobile's that have the 3 piece rear window - Cool old cars.
Thanks so much for the entertainment. The Toronto is most awesome. I have 72&73 Monacos. The front design of the Dodge & Oldsmobile are similar. Get some antiseptic on that leg.
silas I like all your shows, I jumped all the way over here in Australia when you touched the snake,, I liked all the two doors, we didn't get to many out here, all the best maxo QLD Australia thank you so very much.
I really enjoy your videos, just looking at those old cars and imagining what they looked like in their heyday. Can’t save them all, but sounds like some will move on to new homes and hopefully live again. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Peace
The Monarch is in great shape, you dont see those anymore and in that shape, down here in south Texas there is a two door that a guy has outside of his business in pretty good shape, they were really nice back in the day.
My favorite is your Dads wagon I like the skyline of it. Your right some of them will make good art or furniture people pay good money for car art but you don't weld so that takes a whole different talent to put that together
My dad bought a 77 metallic light green Volare wagon new. I think it had the 318. When I blew the engine on my 73 Triumph GT6 MK3 about 8 miles from home, he brought the Volare, a chain only about 6 or 8 feet long, and pulled me home. It was a real balancing act between dragging my brakes enough to not build up slack in the chain or run into him, versus tugging too much on the Volare and making its tranny complain. He had two stories of road trip adventures with my mom in the Volare after they retired. Driving through the Badlands in the Dakotas, it broke down, and some Sturgis biker types stopped and somehow helped him get it running. Also out in that area on a really desolate road, he told a story of pulling off at various viewpoints, and noticing a car a mile or two behind them also stop as soon as they saw him stop. He guessed they feared he was a bandito trying to trap them into catching up. His wagon had a very novel (at the time) upside down spoiler at the back end of the roof, grabbing air and blowing it down across the back of the car. He thought it was stupid and probably cost him some gas. I thought it was entirely possible that it moved the airflow detachment point down enough to reduce drag on the main area of the car's rear by more than the added drag on the spoiler itself.
Silas, I told u told you the headlights on the Nissan 300 are extremely valuable and rare. To make them even more valuable they are also used by the Lamborghini Diablo! They're $1500 each. They'll break or get stolen!!!
Dear Mr. Silas 👍👌👏 Nearly unbelievable that the black Mercedes W110 can't be sold. It is original and looks complete. Those are worth a small fortune in Europe. I absolutely love the boat tail Rivieras and the Nash is a great car too. Coldwarmotors would definitely love to have the Nash but Scott lives near Edmonton/Canada. Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all of you.
Great video Silas, some great angles, all the effort you went to was well worth it in my opinion, I like the boat tail best . Hope you find homes for them !
A really enjoyable video Silas. That old Mercdes Benz would attract much interest here in the UK/Europe. I could easily spend a very enjoyable day wandering around your yard, just looking at what you have in stock. David in the UK.
As always Silas...super cool upload ! I get extremely excited when I receive the notification that you have posted a new vlog !!! Almost like a kid in a candy store lol
I'd really love to have the Buick regal. Love the t tops. Thanks for making my days better with your love of the old cars also. Keep up the good work from west Virginia
I like that Mercury Monarch. These cars have an overall nice look to them. Good lines and proportions. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but nice none the less. It’s one of those cars that when there’s lots of them around, nobody cares, but when they are almost all gone, then they get more interest.
I liked the clip of you hauling a car to your farm. As the saying goes, it might not be the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there. A good private spot to keep the collection
I want to thank you for letting a old looser to be able to dream of owning some cool stuff like this. Wish I could open a shop next door to you and all's I'd do is restore old vehicle's I bought from you.... Thanks for letting me dream
The old ones are great collectors love them they last forever and they clean up and you can work on them fantastic video as always thank you for sharing and your time was awesome never miss a video and can't wait for next one.
Love your channel. I remember so many of those cars from my growing up the Buick the Tornado ( dad had 69) . Love the Riviera . Could have bought a 63 in 67 for 1700.
So many nice old cars it's hard to pick just one but my favorite really be the 58 ranchero ! But what i get a month it take a year to come up with just buying it & by time it get drive able i'd be dead unless i hit the lottery & i don't even play it !
Everyday above ground is a good day !
TREAT THAT LEG CUT RIGHT NOW! I ignored a metal cut just like that a few years ago and almost lost my life.

It's always a good feeling when someone buys one & takes it home. Hope the best of the rest!

I liked the boat tail Riviera. I remember when they were brand new. Beautiful cars!
Seeing you saving cars is what makes me happy ... but your wall art is cool too.
Its like a car show I like it
3:07 that Buick with the super back window should be preserved just because it is beautiful!
HAD A 1977 MERCURY MONARCH SIX CYLINDER WITH STRAIGHT SHIFT. BEST FORD CAR I EVER OWNED.
jay leno has a tornado like the one you have. i love old cars, but you have to have more dollars than sense to fix them.

One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Hello from Delaware 🇺🇲!
Cool shots. You make moving cars look like a kid putting his Matchbox away!
57 Buick 4 door hardtop, 57 Merc Turnpike cruiser, '65/'66 Cadillac, '66 Oldsmobile Toronado, Jeep and 50s Ramblers! Glad a few were already sold!
80's cutlass!!!!!
1954 on the mainliner. The shroud over the instrument cluster is solid metal on 52 & 53. Another great video.
I remember watching the video when you moved these cars into the temporary lot.👍
The black W110 Mercedes is super rare and very valuable for the right person if it's not all rotted out
I really liked the 1979 cutlass 4 door. Back in the day we used to call that body style "humpback whales"..LOL.
58 ranchero,great car !!
52-53 Nash gets my vote. Silas, open the hood and check out the water pump generator combo. I think that is a Custom with the flat six.
I am a big fan of the 1962 Thunderbird Coupe, and the 1972 Buick Riviera.
Very cool Silas.
silas I like all your shows, I jumped all the way over here in Australia when you touched the snake,, I liked all the two doors, we didn't get to many out here, all the best maxo QLD Australia thank you so very much.

Great video. Love to see the old cars being saved. My favourite is the boat tail Rivera.
Thanks Silas
College buddy had one in the mid 70s. Nothing rides like a big American car from the 60s or 70s
Man, I would have liked the "Cuda, but live goes on.
Oh damn, that boat tail Riv and the mid 60s Caddy in the drone shot
5:52 my grandmother had a 77 4 door aspen in Starlight Blue metallic with blue vinyl interior and the hard to kill slant 6 225ci.
Thanks for trying to save these cars!! I wish I was in the position to buy, store, and fix up a couple of them.
The Monarch is in great shape, you dont see those anymore and in that shape, down here in south Texas there is a two door that a guy has outside of his business in pretty good shape, they were really nice back in the day.
My favorite vehicle is the Ford truck that has the motor and trans gone. Hopefully someone with time can make that live again
Saving classics !! Yes
My favorite is your Dads wagon I like the skyline of it. Your right some of them will make good art or furniture people pay good money for car art but you don't weld so that takes a whole different talent to put that together

I love the big 66 cadillac and that 60 ford wagon. Haven't seen many of those. Glad they are saved.
1958 mercury turnpike cruiser is my dream 50s car I’ve always wanted one but I’m too young and don’t have enough money to take on one right now
The 57 Buick with 3 piece back window.
The English PA Vauxhalls had the same rear roof design.
A very sort after model.
I like that Mercury Monarch. These cars have an overall nice look to them. Good lines and proportions. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but nice none the less. It’s one of those cars that when there’s lots of them around, nobody cares, but when they are almost all gone, then they get more interest.
