About Adventures Made From Scratch: I’m just a regular guy who likes to find adventure in day to day life. We may not be able to go travel the world, but there are plenty of opportunities at our door step. I do a mix of vintage car stuff, scrapyard stuff, nature hiking, and who knows what else?!? Come with me as I take you along for a ride in my world!

You strike me as a really decent guy. When things go south like that, everything happens for a reason, and things seem to turn around for the better. Sure hope so! How about you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and keep making your videos. I'm hooked. I'll keep watching
Well said already, Have a great Holiday, Thanks for having us along for the ride
You post your b usiness phone number your location purc hated parts & vehicles
I respect that you give the old trucks / cars and Parts a chance to be used again, Even though it can be a pain to do. Most guys in the scrap business only see the value in what it weighs and is made of, they just scrap it. They don't care what it is.
It’s so nice to see fords in its natural habitat.
Too bad about your auction but you live and learn. You know more than you did yesterday so you’ll do it right in the Spring. You always seem to have a real good optimistic view of things which helps when you are in business. Us grumpy old farts stay grumpy because we don’t do anything but complain about everything under the sun including shat that doesn’t matter. Stay well Silas!😮
I need the wall hanger for a 58 Viking 60 and then I need the driver side window post and door hanger all the way to the step rail give me a price on it
Favorite, 63 and 64 Chevy. I am 80 years old so remember them well
Always nice to see the recycling...people buying parts and vehicles
Kind of late to your channel and I have been watching a lot of them lately. One thing that strikes me as I look at all those 1950 to 1960-ish farm trucks. One day they are going to be just a memory, they will all be gone and you will realize it is the end of an era.
Hey Silas. I say that like I know you...only from your vids. It is bad news but so glad you had good news to share. You are ALWAYS in a good mood and send good vibes out. Please don't let the badness bring ya down dude. Love all your positiveity! We need more of it!
In sweden we call that 64 chevy a good project😂 because we love the patina and the rusty shit just fix them street legal and start driving around town and drinking beer🍻
I like seeing the cool stuff moving on to it's next life. So cool that all those cabs are saved, but even cutting the noses off for wall art still saves them. GREAT WORK !!!!!!
Both the .. '63 and the '64 were my favorite vehicles hope they get restored!
Sometimes bad news will turn into good news. Your work is never done. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
That's beautiful seeing all those cabs being saved , and repurposed. ...
Silas you get the 2022 Most Productive Worker in America Award!
Thanks for sharing Lots of cool stuff finding good homes
Gotta love the winter, knuckle busting, bolt breaking, wet, and shivering. It's great to see you, Silas. I am heading over to your other channel to see what's new over there. Your house destruction last time was Amazing, how are you ever going to top that video I will never know. Thanks for posting. It's great to escape for a little while in your world.
If I get time I will have a video out on that channel this week, or for sure next week! Maybe both!
Oh that house demo tape I had to send it out to others, that was EPIC Silas!!!!!!!!
just alot of fun watching old parts going to new home and a new life to live
Silas - You'll make more monoy with a late Spring or Early Summer auction. A bit of advice, though ... DO YOUR LEGWORK! Look hard at each action company you're considering. Make sure the auction they put your stuff in has BOTH an internet auction, AND a live, in-person auction. The present delay might actually give you an advantage with that. The better on-line/live auction companies post photos a couple of months before bidding begins. The extra time generates a lot of interest.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for saving the 63 and 64 Impalas and also the 60s Chevy truck cabs and also the 50s trucks. Wish I were closer I come by for a look for sure. Happy New Year.
Have your own action. You don't need to use no company.
If you do part out the F7, I would pull the doors unless they are really bad. That truck has the chrome grille and windshield trim, but if it has that trim it also would have an exterior lock on both doors (as opposed to just on the passenger side) and it has clips for door panels, which the plain trucks did not get.
Good to know, thanks!
I’m sorry you didn’t make the auction but sounds like you still was able to get rid of some stuff so that was a good deal. I just love watching your videos so keep them coming.
You better take OFF THURSDAY AND FRIDAY! Too cold!
I would love to have a 1953 GMC COE.
My dream truck.
The 64 chev Impala was my favorite vehicle. I am so glad you found a home for it !! Good video Silas!! And Merry Christmas!!
it's always good to see things and cars get a new home instead of ending up in the crusher
Your "Big Dog" cab with the chrome grill might have been a fire truck cab. Chrome grill and red paint inside the cab.....
I have to admit that is sad to see the trucks being cut or parted out but as a business you have to go where the money is, great video like always!
Cool thanks 👍😊.PS all the truck cabs 😮
My Father was "ready" to move into a retirement home, a month before the date he passed away. I live 1200 miles away. My wife and I and my Sister and her husband all busted our butts, for one day cleaning out the house. We made little progress. I went to get more trash bags. 1/2 half mile from his house is the office of an auction house. I stopped. The guy says i can't come, I have an appointment. 20 minutes later he shows up. We sign up. There was an auction on a nice spring day. One person made an offer on the house prior to his death. She bought the house at auction for more. Even the 40 year old paint cans sold.
that Ford F7 is cool 2 speed diff as well ,,i live in NZ we barely got to see any of this stuff i love all those old trucks .Worth a fortune here & people buy them too they like to be different & use them for promotional vehicles..
glad to see you parting out cars trucks selling them now rather than crushing them
These are very cool to make barbercue grill s out of😊🇧🇻
You have had a long busy day and it is just not stopping great job loved it Salis you and yours Happy Holidays from my family to yours can't wait for next video.
Nice load of Cab’s Merry Christmas Silas
The 63 was probably my favorite. My first 2 cars were 63s, an Impala SS hardtop and a 63 Biscayne 4 Dr. I always think of the 4 door sedans as being a Biscayne or BelAir, but I bet they sold a ton of Impala 4 door sedans. I always thought the 63 was a lot sharper looking car than a 64.
Dude you should definitely consider listing the trucks on rat rod and street rod forms. People have a renued interest in classic trucks!!
Keep up the great work!!
Love the 63 and 64 chevy cars.
Thanks for the great content.
Good stuff!
I always marvel at t he amount of old vehicles that have lasted 70 odd years, in the UK we get a few, but most just rust away, it is great to see them on your video's
64 Impala was my one of my dad's favs he would have loved to restore that one like the last one rust didn't bother him he made panel if he had to
Always a great pleasure, Silas! Thanks again, and Merry Christmas!!!!
For me things were really slow for about 3 months until last week when I sold 4 dana 60 ford axles, a 8" lift kit, a ford v10 engine and trans, and a set of winter tires! BAM bills paid, feeling good! Life is full of ups and downs and in the used parts game, nothing is a sure thing ;-) Nice collection !
Started laughing. You should put aluminum rims and tires on the cars and trucks that leave. LOL
1:16 love the background music Silas , that truck grill on the 1952 16:56 truck is known as a bulletnose grill ,after the war ended vehicles often times had war time themes in order to get potential customers interested in making a vehicle purchase
The truck was known as a bullet nose because the grill resembles bullets
I really like those old trucks and I am glad to see you make an effort to rescue them or at least rescue parts of them. Thanks for the video.
Silas Have a Merry Christmas
👍👌👏 2) Have a nice Christmas time with your family.
Best regards luck and health to all of you.
You get er done
Another satisfied customer. You had some great sales it looks like. Love the treasure hunting videos. The house flattening was awesome. Should invite the family to come over and watch that one again.
Good pivot move on the auction that wasn't. I recognize that having to post everything on line by yourself is time consuming, but getting those old parts, junk parts, rusty parts vehicles off your shoulders is great. You sell to a very specific group of people and you need to fish while fish are biting. Whether something is worth $500 to a restoration shop or $300 if you have a live buyer show up is the bottom line. While it lays on the ground corroding, it's worth nothing. In the end, it's about a flow of ready money plus your salary.
FIne videos, Silas!
Good evening, great video, loved them old chevys back in the 70'. Thank you, Steve from N.B Canada
Happy New year to you and your family thanks for all the videos in the last year
64 Chevy thanks for the great videos. I aways look forward to seeing your next video. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas .
wow ! the house got rebuilt fast
Silas , Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and family..
thanks for saving stuff!.... MERY CHRISTMAS!
Lining parts up on pallets like a supermarket will make your business fly, that's the way to do it.
I loved that music. Very upbeat. Glad things turned around for the better. Do what you have to do Silas. We aren't in your shoes and that is the business you are in anyway. That one truck was so cool. Those big ol' fenders and that little hood. Hope you make moolah on that one.
I've been looking forward to a new adventure vid !! I never know what to expect 😊 fav vehicles, 63 +64 chevys
I hope someone saves that Ford Big job with the original grille. That is a cool truck
You my friend earned your self a subscriber! I could hear you all day talk. You should have your own radio talk show

Those guys got a few nice ones.
spent my entire life trying to please everyone but never achieved it,love your attitude and thinking ,there was a yard near me who sold usa cars,im in the uk ,if a customer balked at the price of say a 57 shield he smashed it and said you can have it for free now,he did this because the customers didnt understand overheads, you explain ,so hopefully in the future places like yours are more respected,me? im nearly done now, tried but failed to make the world better...
We don’t always see the impact we made on the world around us!
Yes. 1
I promise you Silas that @cleetus Mcfarland would love to have the "Ford big job" emblems. It's literally one of his biggest catch phrases. His 3.08 million subscribers can agree 👍.

Hope you do another video on the house demo & clean up....Happy Holidays to you & yours!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I hear you about selling stuff on Facebook marketplace Silas. It sure can be frustrating. List something for 1000 bucks and get people saying "I'll give you 200 today". No...you wont give me 200. Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Communication... Why's it so hard for everyone to communicate?? You have gr8 videos. Also I loved what you did with your house. Merry Christmas.
You have to walk the fence to figure out what you can keep or scrap. Not easy and make a living comes first. Have a Very Merry Christmas!

1963 impala was my fav. car sold today.
I have to go for the two Chevys you sold.
The 63 & 64 chevy 'Impalas were my favorite's
Cut them up!!!! They are still getting a new life!!!! Wish I had the room to have a front end in my house
Great deal silas
Business opportunity for a retired guy, someone close to the facility.. to pick up the 'no ship' items and get them on a closed palette and on a truck.
