Well done mate I live up here and heard that they escaped from the Bli Bli Barra fishing park 2012 lost 60% of there stock I read during the floods
A couple were caught last week I heard near the military jetty at a metre in length so must be thriving great news for the future ---Also catch and release the way to go good on you!!
Hey mate cheers! Yea heard a lot more reports in the last 12 months about these beautiful fish. I was fishing for bream in another area and saw easily 3 1m+ Barra stacked under a pontoon I almost wet myself 😂

Good one mate. You have to BE a fisherman to understand the excitement of catching a good fish. There's nothing like it, and I can just imagine you driving home with a smile on your face....lol
Thank God alright.... Great catch for the location. Love catching barrra. Live up in tiwi islands NT, always the best fish to catch. More fun when the jump out of the water with big head shakes.

where did you launch at mate I have the hobie on the roof visiting the area.
Plenty of spots to launch. I honestly look for vacant lots on the canals for easy access. Otherwise near the bridges are always worth a look and generally good launch spots

Shimano Bream finesse raider 763 with a Shimano Solstice 2500. The solstice has been put into retirement and I now run a Stradic instead :)
