    Noosa and surrounds has the best fishing on the Sunshine Coast in my opinion. Great Jack fishing and good stocks of Bass when you go further in. Shame it's such a long drive to get there

    I've been fishing the Noosa river for just on 24 years.... loads of bull sharks up the river... biggest I have landed was just under 6 foot... legally you are allowed to keep them under 1.5 meters... about 7 year ago I landed on at 1.3 meters... I filleted him up and cooked him, beer batter, was bloody good eating... just out of curiosity where are you boys, past the 1st lake heading toward Johns Landing?... is a frustrating river to fish these days, tooo many boats on the water... got to time it right...good luck to you boys... cheers for sharing...

      A tad disappointed , I must say. I was hoping you would one handed grab it by the scruff of The neck and casually disgorge that lure , have the ever-ready camera underwater at 500fps for the release. Maybe next time Arti can get in on the act. That’s two bleeders in one ambo, brilliant!

    Hey mate, I just got myself my first bait caster a about month ago. I have it set up properly(i think), and when I cast I feather it as much as I can and still get bird nests a lot of the time. Any tips?

    • @LiamFitzpatrick
      @LiamFitzpatrick  4 роки тому

      RIG2BEE Start with a decent weight mate. Check you brakes internally as you can turn on some extras at first and use the adjust knob on the side until you’ve got the touch.

    • @yak2558
      @yak2558 4 роки тому

      hey man, when its about to hit the water thumb the spool a bit so it cant keep rotating. if it isnt that then yeah make sure you have the braking settings adjusted right,

    • @r2b50
      @r2b50 4 роки тому

      yakxe okay thank you, so should I have my thumb on the spool lightly the whole time it’s in the air or just as it’s about to hit the water?

    • @LiamFitzpatrick
      @LiamFitzpatrick  4 роки тому

      When everything is backed off yes but if you have the tension set right for the weight it should just be stopping it as it lands.

    • @yak2558
      @yak2558 4 роки тому

      RIG2BEE as liam said, when everything is backed right off you’ll need to have it on lightly. Also like he said if its set right it should be fine but it will still cost a bit of distance so i always go a bit lighter and thumb my spool instead to cover as much ground as possible. No matter how its set i thumb my spool.
