Hi Mark, great to hear you have received the DVD of the music video and are enjoying it. It's for you! We haven't seen the DVD yet but looking forward to receiving ours too. All the very best, Songfully, Cath & Jay
Was so beautiful to hear this song live by both of you at the edge last night. My son who's non verbal but types on a board said it was moving and uplifting !!!!
How beautiful and very fitting. Many would respond with Yes they have forgotten us. I will share and try and urge to have it played at the NSW Forgotten Apology Day this week at the Botanical Gardens.
Thank you for your comment, Ellen. So many people are unaware of the second National Apology and who the Forgotten Australians are. We hope this song goes some way towards raising this awareness. Lest we forget.
And yes please feel free to share it far and wide. It would be wonderful if it were played/screened at the National Apology event in NSW this week. Is that happening in Sydney? What day/time? Perhaps you could contact us at cathjay@mundyturner.com. Would love to know the details.
mundyturner as a Ward of 8 placements and a further 3 institutions. over 11 years physical, mental and sexual abuse from 8 years old. it is a crime beyond repair. ai have prayed to die at a young age. it is the Governments that need to hear these words. I have asked wattle place, the providers through Relationships Australia to play it at our meeting at the botanical gardens in Sydney on Wednesday, when we reflect on those brothers and sisters in care who have passed on either naturally or committed suicide. as an Advocate I will fill every crevice on social media that I am able. Kind Regards Ellen Bucello
Thank you Ellen! We so appreciate your support. We are finding the song is providing a healing balm to those who have suffered these atrocities in "care". We are singing it at the video launch this Sunday with many "forgotten Australians" from Brisbane's Lotus Place, run by Micah Projects. You are right - governments need to hear these words. My husband Jay has also been busy sending the link to this video to all the ALP MPs. Please send it to any other government departments to which you have links too! Thanks again Ellen.
Beautiful music. I'd like to also make mention of the many, many Children who have also suffered horrific abuse in foster placements in the 21st century.
Yes very tragically, foster carers are not necessarily kind to foster kids either, as we have seen with the horrific case of poor little 12yo Tialiegh Palmer in South-East Qld, allegedly murdered by her foster father. This song is for all these children.
I didn't know anything about either apology, I'm only finding all this out now . never knew about the original redress. too late now . I was in warilda, tuffnell, silky oaks, and in 2 foster placements from the age of 4 to 18 inclusive. now 48. I agree we are still forgotten.
Have you recorded your songwriting, Doc? Get someone to film a performance of your work and maybe you could upload it to UA-cam. It's fairly easy to set up your own UA-cam channel.
I love this song. I grew up in care in n.s.w. it makes me feel I'm not forgotten
GOD when will we understand that... IT IS HOW WE TREAT OUR SISTERS, BROTHERS AND NEIGHBORS. We have become so selfish.... I cry for us every night...
Hi, I just received your Have you forgotten me CD in the mail today. Opened up a lot of memories, Thank you. It's really nice.

couldn't have said it better myself.
Beautiful music. I'd like to also make mention of the many, many Children who have also suffered horrific abuse in foster placements in the 21st century.
I use to be hit with a horse crop whip as punishment in one foster placement. either across the knuckles or legs and butt. not soft either.
Yes very tragically, foster carers are not necessarily kind to foster kids either, as we have seen with the horrific case of poor little 12yo Tialiegh Palmer in South-East Qld, allegedly murdered by her foster father. This song is for all these children.
That's awful, Mark.
Thank you Annette. Yes; this is for all the foster children too. For all children who have suffered.

Pity I can not obtain some form of exposure to the parodies I have written in the same type of hell we are all going though.
