Don Williams is the most under rated country music star of all time. He should be mentioned with the likes of George Jones, Conway, Merle, Waylon, Willie, Johnny Cash and so on. He was the gentle gaint, the best voice of all time.

My daughter and I both love/loved this song. She used to play it each morning on her way to work. she would listen to it over and over again on the 20 mile trip. any time I was in the car we had it playing. It was my comfort when I was going through such a bad time in my life. It helped me survive, to get the courage to change my life and get away from an abuser. My daughter passed away 6 years ago and sometimes I find it so hard to get through a day, sometimes even minutes. But I listen to this song with the tears in my eyes and I find a way to go on. This will always be my favorite song, my comfort song.

I was fortunate enough to have met the man, the legend, Don Williams, when I worked for a radio station in my city. After a childhood of listening to my Dad and his brothers play the songs of Don Williams, and many others, and after my younger adult years of listening to Don Williams, it was truly a blessing to see him at his live show and see him afterwards. The nostalgia, the memories, even the heartache associated to this man's music, wow.

This day was bad for country music, The loss of Don Williams and Troy Gentry just hours apart. Good for Hevans Chorus and bad for us left here to replace them. RIP Gentlemen.

I'll be 46 this year and I can't remember a time that I didnt enjoy Dons voice and songs. I raised my daughter listening to this song every morning. Less than three years ago, I introduced my new wife to Don and this is her favorite song now. And Don is her favorite all time country singer. He's touched so many lives and will continue to touch lives. RIP Don. May your memory and influence never fade.

1982: I was there, that very day, on the first row. I could almost touch him. Theater 'De Lievekamp' in Oss, The Netherlands. As always, as I land on this clip, I feel the same Goose Bumps coming. What an unbelievable experience....I never forget: as he strolls to the microphone. One hand slightly touching the brim of his rumple head as some unspoken apprechiation to the rising audiance. From that first moment on he catched us for another Our and a half. Took us with him along his amazing repertoire. Tears come up again and again as I remember all these unforgetable moments.

My dad is admitted in hospital from 4th April. On 6th 1surgery is done of angiography of right leg and gangrene person and on 8th he has to go with other surgery that to check the right veins because of less blood flow. Humble request to everyone that please keep my Father in your prayers specially tomorrow...thank you🙏😔
