In the search to find a new daily smoker, i came across the impeccable customer service from Lexus Hatfield. With the budget of $100k i was introduced to the LC500, although it ticked all the boxes it didn't give me the feeling i wanted.. But with thousands of comments praising Lexus, i wanted to delve deeper into brand, so i decided to check out the best Lexus, and arguably the best car to exist to some enthusiasts, the Lexus LFA.

People didn't want to "pay $350k for a Lexus" so some cars sat new for MSRP at dealers until as late as 2019. It took a while for the market to get over the badge and realize that its one of the greatest cars ever conceived

Jeremy Clarkson told us that this car is the best car he’s ever driven in the world. That’s was many years ago as well when he did top gear. I’m surprised at how many people not know how special it is

For a guy who built his entire following around cars, you sure know very little about cars and their history lol The LFA was a statement car HANDBUILT by Lexus. The CEO of Toyota did not give a damn about the cost, they lost money on it. He only had one goal in mind: Build the best car ever. Period. They went on and achieved exactly that.
This car is a masterpiece. I'd recognise its sound on a blind test among a 100 supercars.
The documentary on the factory and building is incredible too. It's on UA-cam and shows exactly why this is *the* best car ever build. A shame (or maybe good) not more people know about it. The LC500 is about to become expensive pretty soon too with the discontinuation and more car enthusiasts looking into them.

@@IbraNNB7at the time it was and that was way back in 2002 you would expect in 2012 for him to say the carrera GT if he still thought it was but he did not, he chose the LFA and he mentioned 5 times. His first when he drove it in tg 19, he mentioned it before the episode started and when it ended he cemented it and made the conclusion it was the best car he’s ever driven, he might be forgiven to saying it in the excitement and heat of the moment if he only said it once but he did not, he mentioned it in the Alfa Romeo episode of season 21 that he’d rather drive an LFA to a party and arrive in that Alfa, mentioned it before the release of tg 22 when they saw the announcement for the RCF and in the RCF review went back to talk about how it was the best car, in the special where they embark to find the worst car together with may, I think it’s in 2015 or 16 he goes on to drive the LFA and also says it’s the best car he’s ever driven, also does it in the grand tour where the lady who owns the LFA, Paris Hilton was a celebrity in the rpc, and he’s finally done a UA-cam short talking about how it’s the best. Also he makes a quick remark in season 20 when he says the stig says the f12 is the only car that can hold a candle to the LFA and from his mood you can tell he doesn’t agree. And that statement shows you the stig also thinks it’s the best car in the world. Jeremy has never gone back to a car as many times as he has the LFA the novelty always wears off of him real quick but for this one it never did, so I would take his word for it and being that he’s driven everything and still says that, even the P1 being in there, then that’s not questions asked the best car in the world

The looks certainly do it justice Mr. Yianni. Not everyone likes a sharp car with sharp edges and lines all over it. The car to me looks sensational.
Trouble is, fast cars are so common these days and no matter what you buy, you'll see something faster going past you. The LC500 is a different ball game entirely. It's not going to tear up the tarmac, but it'll transport you over that tarmac with a unique style and class of it's own. We've owned several Lexus cars and cadged an LC500 off the dealer while ours was in for a service. Absolutely fell in love with it but sadly it was out of our budget.
Never seen anyone struggle to spend £80k on a car. Here’s me struggling to decide what to get for up to £30k next year 😂

The LFA is arguably The BEST sounding car ever built. What Lexus & Yamaha did to make that engine note is out of this world... It might be a Lexus, but its bespoke, hand built & was crafted in a building that was built specifically to make that car... And just like the Veyron, every car built, they lost money on... That car is a Million dollar car for a reason. And the Nurburgring Edition is even more special.

The LFA actually sat on the Dealer lots for up to three years unsold because of what you mentioned. They did not sell out right away and were considered a major loss by the company. Absolutely beautiful cars. The LC500 with some wheels, lowered and exhaust are dirty AF.

As an Aussie living in the UK, and having grown up with so many JDM cars - it’s great to see that the Japanese are getting the respect for building some beautiful, exotic cars.

Yo are you serious you know nothing of LFA… this is the holy grail of modern supercars till they slacked too long to release it. Thus only so many made and yes they have been well over $1,000,000 for collectors. But resale was $600,000. For $80,000 LFA?! Steal
In Australia, one Lexus LFA popped up on carsale for $2M AUD few years ago and got sold within 24hours and never seen one for sale until then. Maybe next 10years would be worth $10M easily.

Story about rev gauge was a marketing gimmick. GMA t50 has an analog gauge, spinning up faster than lfa.
True. Also nearly every superbike in the 90's had analogue dials and bikes rev up super quick having no flywheel.
That was 13 years ago though. If I'm not mistaken this was the car that flippen started the digital rev and speedometer sickness

The LC-500 is the best grand tourer available on market. Affordable for what it offers, fast enough for you to enjoy it properly, genuinely pretty, reliable, sounds amazing and would still hold good value when it’s old.
Lexus doesn't have the wow factor, so instead I buy a range rover. How does that make sense. Haha.

I was fortunate enough to have a very small drive in a Nurburgring edition. I did no more than 15mph but even that was an amazing experience. You have to see one irl to really appreciate it!

The story behind this car is very very special, there's a video about it on UA-cam, it made me emotionally attached to LFA.
