Good day everybody! This is a 2007 HuskaRaymana electric chain saw with 20,000 cut trees on the Oh-DomIt-tor! The Customer states while digging for Voles, Moles and Gophers in his garden, his chainsaw struck several rocks and said the saw will no longer cut butter, so stick around, this is going to be a very good video.
@@aspergerio I've an old, solid nose bar I use with knackered chains to do what Ray did - doesn't affect the oil feed in the least & it gets the job done.
I watched this As Seen On TV ad. This is the NEW super Saw! Use it to work in the garden, pruning trees and shrubs, removing roots, cut firewood, then you can take it in the house and carve a turkey, roast, vegetable's, it will cut anything!
Bust out the Sawsall for that job. Use 6 or 9 inch 8tpi demolition blades, they hold up well to dirty jobs. The Diablo Demon series blades, for the thicker roots, go with the 4-6tpi blades
Personally, I wrap a chain around them three times, hook it, and pull them with a tractor. A big diesel dully could work too. Cut roots seem to start growing new trees. 6 new trees in your future.
Landscaper here… There is a chain saw for that! A special bar and carbide tipped chain is all you need. Digs a 1” wide trench through roots/rocky soils on no time!! It’s FUN!
I don't even think This Old Tony could sharpen that chain. Did the same job recently but using a heavy duty garden hoe, worked well, but it did take a bit longer.
Yep. I've an old, non sprocket nose bar I use with chains too worn for regular use which get to perform tasks like this - just turn up the chain oil flow to max & have at it.😁
Chainsaw purchased strictly to stick in the ground
pfft a lot you know, that's an underground power source detector
@@IR-nq4qv and a potentially dangerous way for doing it 😢

😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅
This comment deserves to be #1
That's the end of that chain.
There is no end to a circle 😅
Not wrong! And the bar, and the sprocket, and whatever dirt got flung into the bar oil feed.
What a waste
@@aspergerio I've an old, solid nose bar I use with knackered chains to do what Ray did - doesn't affect the oil feed in the least & it gets the job done.
You got to the root of the problem.
Florida Man flings chain across the yard; Injures innocent chainsaw
Once again the song"we're going to do some sketchy sh*t", comes to mind......🤠
Nice save on the foundation
Someone understands why
$60 chainsaw < foundation work
Definitely what disposable sawzall blades were made for.
what he said haha
I do that too plus need to resharpen straighten my hedge trimmer rake weed cutter
Shhh, I can hear a Karen in the wild approching....
I can’t wait till they find it 😈
@@RainmanRayOffDuty Did you hear the electric chainsaw sound? Reeeeeeeeeeeee!
I never seen landscaping done with a chainsaw like this before😮
Ray's getting to the root of the problem! I'm here all day!
My condolences
🤣
The disappointed "No!" at the end... 😂
No, no, no, no, no! Chainsaws should NEVER touch dirt; that's what Sawzalls were made for.
That dirt aughta sharpen that chainsaw chain right up!
Hell yeah! 💪💪💪
Real men use dynamite! 😋
What sort of crash test dummy behavior was that? 👎
I still have an electric chainsaw that I destroyed the exact same way. It still runs but it won't even cut balsa wood. 🤣
Why am I addicted to this?
I WILL GIVE IT A 2 TROY HEAD SHAKE AND 1 EYE ROLL.
I can't believe you didn't start with the circular saw first, so you would have a line to follow !! 😮
Excellent
Thats how southern rednecks sharpen chainsaws, or those that drink Bud Lite...........
Oh well, time to send that chain in to be sharpened again 😅
Someone needs to send you a N.O.P.E. (Nuckleheads Operating Power Equipment) T-shirt 🤣🤣

It's my chain and I'll do what I want, and I'll do what I want.
WHY?WHY? WHY? What did that chainsaw ever do to you? 😱😱😱😃. Rainman you crack me up.
Nothing at all. It was cheap and thus it’s life’s mission was to be stuck in the ground.
Omg rip that chain
Trencher is up for rental. Low hours only used once.
You're doing it wrong.
You're supposed to get the dirt wet first. It adds viscosity and reduces friction.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
What no safety Crocs
I had just taken them off

Won’t cut through 10” of root
@OTB Cliff they sell them in 12 inch as well
If you are patient, you can cut a 16 inch root with a 9 inch blade .
I'm glad you use your tools as i use mine most are multi purpose like hammer objects
Hey Ray, they make a sawzall pruning blade that's a whole lot cheaper for that kind of cutting.
Hope no.one ran a.220 conduit underground or lighting by the owner lol
480V three-phase, FtW.
I’m sure you called 811 prior to trenching 😂
Your better off with a sawzall in dirt. Dirt destroys chainsaw chain instantly.
It's not as fun though 😂
Smallest Ditch Witch I've ever seen! Do they rent these at Sunbelt or can I purchase a knock off version at Harbor Fraud?
I’ll rent you this one lightly used

G'day Ray! landscaper here, sawzalls are great for this and i know how much you love to sawzall stuff lol. have yourself a great day everyone!
RIP that chainsaw blade.
It takes ground contact about 5 seconds to destroy the edge on a blade and cutting stops.
Eh
So the other 30 seconds or so of root cutting were performed solely by Ray's mental power?
Best rock cutter I ever seen.
Si
LOL!!! There's no rocks in Florida!! 🪨🪨🪨
Landscaper here…
There is a chain saw for that!
A special bar and carbide tipped chain is all you need.

It’s FUN!
When I had to bury the little wire for the dog shock fence I put a old chain on my chainsaw and cut the ground it worked pretty good and was fast.
Thats one way to find electrical conduits......
There are two ways to use a chainsaw........😂😂😂
Too bad this isn't either one 😂
Ray- It helps to wash the roots off with water first. Use crappy chain & bar. Dirt & rocks = chainsaw chain and bar = new bar and chain.
Theres a tool called a sawsall ray, that would work much better and a lot safer. Just bang a wood blade in it and away you go.
I've been told that a chainsaw should NEVER be used to cut anything through dirt, that it ruins the chainsaw pretty much right away.
Saves renting a trencher 😅
I don't even think This Old Tony could sharpen that chain. Did the same job recently but using a heavy duty garden hoe, worked well, but it did take a bit longer.
loved the safety shoes!
I usually use a sawzall with a brush cutter blade - yes, they make those
popin z blade
When a sawzall is too small and you don't want to break out the axe. F-ck it, get a chainsaw.
Carbide tipped chain MIGHT last a bit longer.
🤣
Ray, are you intentionally trying to set us off? LOL
🤣 so much for that blade
Your supposed to pour a couple gallons of used 30W on the ground first for lube😊😊😊
That was painful to watch.. Sawzall bud..
Not the recommended procedure for getting rid of rocks. That’s what shovels are for. I’m glad you weren’t hurt..
It's a great way to get rid of roots
Fastest way to blunt a chain (apart from hitting a nail) letting the blade touch soil .stones are much harder than steel
Is that not how you're supposed to use a chainsaw? I thought that's what the bar and chain oil is for. Hmmm.
Well, if you just throw that chain away and buy another one. No harm No foul.
Oh it's good for them ...dirt won't hurt nothing
I found using a saws all with a pruning blade to be very affective. 😎
It would have been very effective as well!😂😂😂
Won't hurt the saw just the chain!
Yep. I've an old, non sprocket nose bar I use with chains too worn for regular use which get to perform tasks like this - just turn up the chain oil flow to max & have at it.😁
You can get away with that in Florida. In NY, you would lose a leg, arm, face... Rocks. We have rocks here. Not chainsaw friendly AT ALL.
Just send it
@@FollowingtheCliffNotes Florida is all sand

Fastest way to blunt a chain is to cut logs on the ground. The dirt really seems to kill chains.
Many electric chain saws are purchased by sous chefs for Ice Carving.
Didn’t look like that though......😢 Small reminder your still in Florida.
You call that a chainsaw? (Mick Crocodile Dundee)😂
The most wrong thing I have seen yet. Still gave you thumbs up because I was a USFS sawyer (logger)
When I finished I ran it across the concrete to sharpen it.
I think Ray's pulling our legs, everybody knows you can't put a chainsaw chain in dirt.
Except me. I bought this saw to stick in the ground
It’s fine it’s only an electric child’s toy not a real chainsaw you can just chuck that thing in the bin when you done 😂😂😂
That ain’t the way you’re supposed to do it, there driver!
Sawsall is the name of the game!
Cuts right through rocks an roots!
I saw Ray peel an orange with a flame thrower once.
I saw someone get a charcoal grill fully ready to cook on ("hot coals") in ten seconds, once. Liquid Oxygen was involved ;-).
painful to watch by ex-forester ......
glad it wasn't my chainsaw
Video..............ummm WT.........no gravity, click.
That was enough to make my teeth curl
Reeeeeeeeee your destroying the tool 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Does "call before you dig" count for chainsaws as well?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 maybe?
Nope
It depends on where you're digging and if you know where all the pipes and wires are buried 😅
Gravity?
It's electric, he's gonna be fine. Let the man trench with a chainsaw if he wants to trench with a chainsaw.
The sign said "Pipeline! No Digging!"
Well, this isn't digging is it?
Rip
Have you been watching Andrew Camarata video's Ray? 💥💥💥
The flatbed is looking awesome by the way lol...🤓
He painted it right? Same color as his Duramax? I thought I was seeing things.
An electric chainsaw. The only thing lost is your money.
That was painful to watch. Get a flat-bladed steel digging bar. You can knock through those roots quickly. BTW, I like chainsaws.
Chainsaw is way faster 😂😂😂
It was the fastest way to dig the hole
Some people just want the world to burn...
Ray Ray Ray, if you want to destroy roots properly you have to use a low yield nuclear device. SHEESH, everyone knows that.
Nice work.
I tend more to use the electric edger.
Solid steel blade cuts through amazing stuff
Red-neck gardening comes to mind.
I use an Axe and Hatchet for those things...poor blade...
First
Cheater
Lol
This doesn’t count
🏆
You beat me!
I just use an axe...it's sharp and easy and I feel manly too...well maybe not exactly easy
A axe is a lot of work
Digging for moles or gophers???
