1999 Astro Van brake booster (hydro-boost) flushing and bleeding

- This video shows how I flushed the power brake/power steering system after replacing the power boost unit (hydro-boost). This does not show how to replace the hydro-boost unit, because there are multiple videos that show how to do that. I did not want to contaminate the new hydro-boost unit with the dirty fluid in the system. The procedure used accomplishes that goal.

Thx for video.. great info.
Thanks for the comment.
I have the same car, when i hold the brake and turn the steering wheel the car vibrates and the battery level starts to drop and the car shuts off. Is this a hydro booster problem?
With mine there was oil everywhere under the hood. I didn't have the specific issue you describe. The driver in our situation lost braking assist and power steering at the same time, all of a sudden.
did you find your problem? i have the same issue
@@chvnse yes my steering column was rubbing on my main harness which is tucked under the fuse box
@@nickymarks3294 thanks! ill check it out!
@@nickymarks3294 did you also have a problem of the harder you pressed your breaks the more violent the shake? (at dead stop in gear)
God bless you brother I love how you started this video.
God bless you too, thanks for your comment.
Amen bro
Thanks for your comment.
DIY with Dave I love that passage in John 15
I agree, the whole chapter is great.
I need to go back to church. Im backsliding.
I thought to bleed the power steering and hydroboost you needed a vacuum pump pull the air out of the system
That would make it easier, but the method I used works if you don't have a vacuum pump.
A comedy.
