You should definitely add fences for the houses, Ive never seen any rich neighborhood where they aren’t trying to protect themselves. In really expensive neighborhoods like that, that isn’t somewhere really rural, fences or walls are pretty much mandatory.

I think the train from Tagfield via Danton to Pt. Douglas didn't stop, because you only added a stop on the way from Tagfield to Pt. Douglas, but not on the return trip. Maybe double check, if that is the case

Also, if you add the Tagfield stop "after" a stop on that line already exists, Tagfield stop would be put on the opposite side of the already existent stop - so both sides of the station would be used instead of just one!

DOH! As you guys where quick to point out, I forgot to add an additional train stop in Danton. Brainfart, I will get that fixed! 😂😂
I would GREATLY appreciate if you would leave a LIKE 👍and a COMMENT 💬, small things that really does help - Thank you!
With this new suburb built, I am very interested to hear where you would prefer to live in Coniferia! And do you live in a foresty area in real life 🌲🌲🌲?
Remember that there is a Q&A in the description for the most common questions ❔
And if you just can't get enough of Coniferia, there's teasers of future episodes and hundreds of additional screenshots over at my Patreon 📸📸📸 www.patreon.com/infrastructurist
As always, thank you so much for the support - I hope you have a fantastic Sunday!

I’d live in Tagfield because it feels both urban and close to nature, but Port Douglas would be my second choice. Also the new train line skipped Danton on the way to Tagfield because you forgot to place a stop there. That’s why there are only 3 stops instead of 4.

I live in Haifa, which is based on Carmel mountains strip - I lived on mountain but not on the reach ones, more like middle class town on mountain top- check it on google maps for inspiration ; )
Haifa also has mountains tops for reach communities like the one you build - so this episode really hit close to home.
Would love to see a mountain top for middle class apartments and commercial as well ; )
      Amazing work, no words.
You can actually build something totally custom with unreal engine 5 with a very small learning curve (an idea for another dream build haha) 🎉

Pinewood Hills could be a nice name for this district. The place was mainly occupied by old money folks that made their riches from the early maritime trades that took place along Pine Harbor. Eventually, younger more affluent folks rushed to the area to build the modern homes of their dreams a little further away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

First one will be served with the class 710 and it will go like this: Tagfield - Pine Harbour - Danton - Port Douglas - Danton - Pine Harbour - Tagfield

I am amazed by how you always bring something new, an unexpected addition to this built. This mountain suburb feels rich. I love it. It is secluded and calm, but close to important hubs.
Edit: I am glad you switched the trees in the suburbs though. It felt overgrown to an extent where most of the buildings/properties were in the shadows.
Given your question, I think of course living up there would be brilliant. However, I like Danton after your expansion. It feels familiar to what I associate with home.

I’m curious how you avoid having issues with low land value? When I build remote areas I struggle to stop buildings abandoning.
I suggest making one central area with tennis courts, pool and community hall. There’s an area called Uriarra Village (Australia: ACT) like that which is my personal “dream spot”.

Love the new neighborhood (someone suggested Pinewood Hills for it which I love) :)) If you're going to add more different types of neighborhoods, I will suggest looking into places like Nordheide in Munich for Port Douglas. Especially because it is dense yet green, and is on a metro (in your case tram?) line.

Perhaps there could be somewhere in the region a small neighborhood of rowhouses from the turn of 19th-20th centuries, which were sometimes built by wealthy factory owners to house their factories' workers. Maybe something like a (former) papermill by a river, a bit out of any town

You can change the size of trees and props with move it by using the , and . Keys. It looks like you have the correct mods to do so. Additionally with the node controller renewal, you can individually adjust the stretch value of each node by expanding the advanced options. This would probably have been helpful when you were making the driveways @26:00

When you said you'd like to wake up to the birds singing, I felt like that might make a nice name.
    I live in Colorado, USA.
My dream location is this neighborhood about 5 miles south from where I live now. It's a left turn from a busy suburban area with a huge Costco, shopping, etc. But, once you turn it becomes a forest with large lots, trees and land. It's an escape from the city, yet still close enough to make life convenient.
My dream neighborhoodreminds me of the new neighborhood you made - beautiful!

Wow! Great job! I really like this build and if I could I would live here! As for a lore, maybe the patriarch of a wealthy family lived at the Victorian mansion and after his death his sons and daughters inherited some parcels of the land that’s why some houses are near and the later some were also sold to other wealthy but still close families. Also, maybe add a police station and a clinic at the foot of the hill. The city might say that it is to have more coverage but also serves implicitly for the wealthy neighborhood.

Ok I'm kinda new to the series but [Pine View] or [Harbour View] would be great names for the new district if they haven't been used somewhere else already.
I'd like to see the tram network extended some more and wondered if you could hide a tram station Inside one of the depo buildings which would allow the trams to appear to use that part of the track and look like they occasionally return to the yard for maintenance. Also a few out of service prop trams would really add to the track layout to. 😉

9:30 Just wanted to say, there is nothing wrong with wanting a single-family detached home that is further away from services and commerce. The problem is that - in North America at least - there is no alternative to single-family detached other than full-on high rise apartment. The progressive push for more medium dense housing is because there is no medium dense housing, not because single-family detached is inherently wrong. Man, even I would want to live in that neighbourhood!

I feel like the roads going through the center of C-Hills are unnecessary because they serve only 2 houses. Furthermore to build those roads the developer had to destroy a lot of nature and being in the nature would have been the main point in developing this land.
I propose that those 2 houses in the center and maybe the third house on the tip of C-Hills share a cul-de-sac road. And the freed areas are forested again. I also think that there might be some foot paths going through the center so that locals could go for a jog or hike in the free time or use them to visit neighbours.
Another thing that bugs me are the pools. People use pools if they have sunlight. Maybe the owners of the houses could remove taller trees in the vincinity of the pools.

Wow haven’t finished the video yet, but exactly, most people in urban planning are quite progressive and never really take in account the market itself, what do people want and why do almost all cities in the world mainly consist of low density, people just love their own space where they can raise their kids. As a young adult in my twenties I love living in big cities, but I probably wouldn’t ever buy downtown in a big city for those reasons. I’m more conservative myself and I do like public transport too but it seems so many urban design UA-camrs always miss the supply/demand perspective and purely focus on their own ideology.

@@twisted_cpp I do think so, pretty much all cities by land have more than 50% low density, even cities like hong kong. In the west especially its about a 80-90% low density. Cities like Paris even have about 75% low density. So yes, like I said, almost all cities in the world consist of mainly low density. There are only a few exceptions. Outside of china and south Korea higher density cities is also synonymous with lower income countries. And wealth and low density is absolutely tied together. People simply like space and want to live spaciously. Its a luxury. Ofc its different when you're young but when you get to the age where you want to settle down and buy a house most people prefer to live spacious.
