I like how everyone assumes the episode Christopher Moltisanti not Christopher Columbus reactors are like yeah “Christopher is going to find out something or something will happen to Christopher” and then the whole thing is about Christopher Columbus and indigenous day😂

You’re take on Columbus & his hero status is 100% accurate. Columbus never even set foot on North America. He was attempting to sail to India. His navigation skills as an “explorer” was a joke... even for his time. Columbus ran into the island of Haiti/Dominican Republic & actually thought he made it to India!! 😂. That’s why he called the natives “Indians” & the name stuck.
Sad part is there are MANY Italians worthy of hero stays. Galileo for example basically discovered the real universe. The Columbus legacy is a fraud. He never made it to the North American continent... he got lost at sea & thought he landed in India when he was 12,000 miles away in Haiti. Plus the Vikings were the 1st Europeans to come to this continent & did it 500yrs before Columbus was born. Some hero huh.
