    Wow I don't know if I've ever used my own name in my self-talk but I just did and it brought me so into the moment. Wow! That's so practical but something I've never thought of before. That's so fucking cool!

    Hey you changed my life with three words. Performance vs. connection. I couldn’t articulate why and how to get rid of the thousand mirrors that followed me but I shattered them all using connection. You are the best! Thank you so much

    Thank you this definitely hits home with me as someone who is very rejection sensitive and I always come down harshly on myself when I fail . Putting forth greater effort is a big inside job when it comes to not beating up on yourself when things go wrong

    I have a problem speaking up for myself and saying how I feel and saying what I really wanna say out of fear of judgment or caring about how others think rather than caring how I think and thinking about what others think or have to say when I really need to be thinking about what I wanna do and what I wanna say so it's kind of hard but I feel theses videos are helping me overcome my problems and regain confidence and control again I really want to express myself and hold conversations without worrying and talking to many women without fear or worries and hopping in conversations or groups who are talking about the things I like instead of holding back because of fear thankyou very much for these videos it makes me happy to see and feel a lil change

    Good video but I have a problem. I have been told over and over again that I am creepy or they are uncomfortable with me. I am so tired of hearing this that I have shut everything out now. I don't like going out anymore and I have become so hard on myself. So I have isolated myself from everyone and kept to myself. Yes I do feel ashamed and I sometimes blame my parents or higher power for being the way I am. I sometimes scream at myself and sometimes even hurt myself to the point where afterwards I even scare myself. Sorry about the rant but I understand what you are talking about . I keep watching your videos hoping to find the answer one day.

    • @danielnovis4819
      @danielnovis4819 8 років тому +6

      you are only as creepy as far as you buy into their opinion of you. so firstly screw those people that tell you you're creepy dude! they don't know you like you know you and your opinion is the only one that matters. love yourself for who you are, don't criticize yourself with the wasted breathe of morons. secondly, our social skills are purely a series of learned behaviours. LEARNED being the main word there. meaning, if you want to you can change how you come across. it's most likely just habits you've picked up, ITS NOT YOU AS A PERSON. let's say you maintain eye contact for too long, try and make a conscious effort to stare less. if you fail or don't do it perfectly at first then please please please show yourself some love and compassion and patience. just remember that YOU decide how you see yourself and no one else.
      I don't know if you've seen Dr Aziz's talk on 'holding your reality' but I highly recommend it pal

    • @bernie6355
      @bernie6355 8 років тому +1

      Thank you for the kind words. Means alot to me. I do try and practice Dr. Aziz's principals but sometimes it just gets tiring when as hard as you try to change, others get in the way and crush you down. I have left most of my friends because of this so I am trying hard to find GOOD people to be with now.

    • @danielnovis4819
      @danielnovis4819 8 років тому +3

      I'd recommend working on yourself a bit first before looking at finding other people bud. From what you were saying there seems to be a lot of self esteem problems. Work on loving yourself before trying to make others love you and you'll find that 1) self-love is the purest and most sustainable love there is and 2) you'll find it a thousand times easier to hold your reality and laugh in the faces of people who put you down because you'll see how utterly insignificant their opinions of you are, and 3) you'll find good people are naturally drawn to you.
      I know it gets tiring pal, I get that, but that's because you're practicing a new skill like playing piano or something. Take breaks, recoup and then get up and keep practicing and before you know it you'll find it easy and do it without even conscious thought. The best advice I was ever told was to be your own best friend and truly love yourself for the unique and mental oddity of the universe that you are

      @xyz12383941 8 років тому +1

      +Bernie Smatavicius Only a very cruel person tells someone that they're creepy and uncomfortable to be around. You are wise to find better people. I used to think that most people are kind and good but now I see that probably the majority are not. In the past few years I have had to let go of almost all of my so-called friends and family because they were being mean to me; I'm now starting over from scratch. So don't think you're odd to have problems with mean people--there are a lot of them and you are smart to get away from them, even if it means being alone a lot until you find better ones. Take care.

      Why do you say "THEIR" personality? HER personality! Also be careful about someone at work for many reasons: it may interfere with your duties, or her duties, or both; she may burn you with "harassment" claims either now or in the future; Other co-workers and customers or whatever may get upset and claim something against you or the two of you; she may be manipulating you; You or her may have to find another job fast even if both of you are into each other; She is a human with free-will and 50% right to choose relationship or not, and if you ignore her right to choose you know what that makes you? Your best chances are by socializing politely with her over time, get to know each other, respect her right to choose even if she chooses "wrong". Get to know her, she might be phony or not as good for you as you thought.

      i have been trying meditation for 2 weeks now, only 15-20mins per day and i have noticed a huge increase in my confidence. it made me go deeper into my mind to findout why i have always been a shy lil bitch and why im so afraid to speak up. Now i have identified those small issues thats holding me back and now i have been coming out of my comfort zone and being more confident having convos with random ppl.
