Do shyness and social anxiety hold you back from living the life that you want to live? Do you feel as though you’re being held back from becoming the person you’re meant to be or creating the relationships that you want because you’re always bogged down in fear and insecurity?
If you’re tired of living life not on your own terms, then stick around!
Today I’m going to share three tips with you that I’ve picked up over fourteen years of work in the field of confidence coaching that are proven to help people rapidly shift out of shyness and into unstoppable confidence.
Almost everyone on the planet suffers from at least some degree of social anxiety (sometimes referred to as “shyness”)-that feeling of fear or apprehension when it comes to communicating with new people or starting new relationships.
Often, we feel as though new people are going to judge us or that we’re going to embarrass ourselves in some way, and the overwhelming intimidation holds us back from taking the risks that will bring us success and joy.
Unfortunately, for some of us, this apprehension begins to settle in as part of our identity as we move into adulthood. So, what can we do to combat this negative mindset once it has sunk its teeth into our psyches?
The first step is getting on your own side.
What do I mean by this? I mean that you must take control of that negative voice in your head-I call it your “toxic coach”-and change the pattern of non-stop beratement in your mind.
Your toxic coach is the source of all the self-doubt, self-criticism, and self-loathing that stops you in your tracks and sucks the joy out of your life. It makes you believe extreme falsehoods about yourself . . . and when you get hooked into that false reality, it demolishes the quality of your life.
Now, for some of you, this may be a bit of a review, but if this is the first video of mine that you’ve ever watched, then you can definitely catch up on this information through my podcast, Shrink for the Shy Guy, and my book, The Solution to Social Anxiety!
In the meantime, though, you can start to do this invaluable work by beginning to recognize the patterns of your toxic coach.
Regardless of whether you face social anxiety on a daily basis, the toxic coach is a universal human problem.
No one is free from that pesky voice that questions their every move and challenges their worth. That toxic coach is so persistent that it will harangue you even years after you’ve overcome great obstacles to find success:
    - Sure, you built this company, but all of your employees hate you.
    - Nobody cares that you came up with that great idea-they all still think you’re an idiot.
    - Yeah, she gave you her phone number, but she’s never going to actually go out with you.
This downward spiral is a continuous and cyclical process that will control your life unless you get control of it starting now.
You must begin to catch the cues that your toxic coach is sending you, record it in some way and work consciously to refute it. One way to do this is to start a journal in which you literally have a conversation with your toxic coach and record it. Ask it questions and demand real answers:
    - What’s going on?
    - Why are you so upset?
    - What is it that you want from me?
So often, we just go through life believing what the toxic coach has to say without ever realizing that we are the ones who are really in control. By recording this conversation with your toxic coach, we take it out of the realm of subconscious mystery and remove the intense hold it has on us.

    Get on your own side.
-take control of the toxic voice.
-Write down what it saying; and refute it!
-Journal, and have a convo with this.
I AM IN CHARGE OF IT.
-deal w that part of you that gets really scared.
-slow down. Learn how to take care of yourself.
    Compelling future
    - stop saying your like this forever.
    • do you feel excited about your future?
    - Have Faith. Believe if before you see it.
    • listen to people’s success stories.
“If it’s possible for them, it’s possible for me”
    Prove “it” wrong:
    DO WHAT SCARES YOU.
Till fear has no powers to stop you.
“Fears isn’t the marker of success, you action is!”
    • the first time won’t feel great, but it’ll get better...
    • It won’t be smooth.
    “DO IT SCARED.”

I get anxiety so bad it makes me not want to go to events. I am a mom of 4 and in my thirties...I homeschool my kids and it's going great except when I get together with the moms in our homeschool group I get nervous and my mind goes blank. I also put myself down in front of people be abuse I don't want anyone to think I'm arrogant. I have turned into a negative thinker and it is so frustrating. I cry it out and decide I'm never going to that again....whatever event it was. I feel unworthy and not smart enough and just very low self esteem.

Social anxiety should be tackled both cognitively and spiritually, lots of energetic work would be the root solution to it, shifting the state of mind, breathing deeply through the diaphragm and being comfortable in your body is key! practicing this all on the daily and getting on with life along with expanding the comfort zone slowly but surely should be the solution

The inner negative coach bit you were talking about hit home quite hard; I've never thought of it in that light before.
I bet it's related to why I'm constantly analysing situations and running what-if's in my mind.
It's probably a passive way for me to "solve" fight or flight situations, before they occur.

I’m in late 20s, still I’m controlled by shyness, unfortunately ,I hv to do customer services as my daily work which makes me more horrible. I really lack confidence to talk loud and to be more open to people around me. I hate myself because of the way I am, I’m feeling very low, hopeless and I wanna run away far..........

im not shy i just don't care about most of the topics people choose to talk about, small talk bores me, i hate the idea of having to have something to say because its expected, im not shy i am willing to talk to people that are willing to have an actual conversation and not just spew verbal crap for the sake of just opening your mouth, conversation should serve a purpose not just to hear yourself talk, also some people do think you're a total idiot regardless of what you think yourself, the voice exists because outgoing people tend to be insensitive not because the shy person has something wrong with them. people should stop blaming the person who is shy and start pointing the finger at people that don't give a shit about how others feel around them

Number #3 is CRITICAL! You say you suffer from social anxiety. "Social" isn't a thing when there's only one person. :) Your inner voice, someone I call Your Safety Police, is just trying to stop you from doing something uncomfortable. Remember, everything valuable you desire and want in life lies just on the other side of discomfort!

I take meds that make me feel good so whenever I'm at parties or events I'm really social and out going but there are some days where I forget to take it or run out, I feel overwhelming anxiety and shyness, the people I had fun partying with see the total reverse in my mood and it makes me look fake... I wish I could feel comfortable anywhere anytime without medication, because I like being social and making friends, makes me feel awful nit talking to my new friends because it gives out the impression that I'm ignoring them but actually I'm totally blank headed and I stress over too much about if I'm boring or interesting enough to talk to, I want to fix this before I ruin anymore friendships

I've been trying for a long time now to improve my confidence, awkwardness and shyness when talking to new people but only in a few instances do i come away feeling happy with how i did. I then start to fall into the cycle of im never gonna get better and im always just gonna be awkward.

Yeah I've been depressed since my senior year of high school 2015 all the way to my freshman year in college. I just never really put a finger on it until after my 1st year was done . My dream was just to go my dream school just to play football that's all I know through high school. Even when I want to try different things I always feel and thought being judged and dislike. I'm so distant from others even in my adulthood. Now I feel like a big disappointment. To my family and I have no friends once so ever. Hell this girl I liked probably loved now getting married to someone else on the day that we met so yeah my life is a complete mess. And I'm always the nice person.

That's a lot of challenges in a short paragraph! But, there's nothing you've said that can't be overcome and put behind you. You may need more assistance than just watching videos here on my channel, but that's a great place to start.

Do what scares you but I was doing job for year and half and I had social anxiety everyday. I gave up and now I am jobless. I faced my fear until the point of panic attacks in front of people. I don't know what to do apart from hiding in my room for 2 years now

    Hello sir .
Since my childhood I use to stammer on some words while talking to strangers or a superior person than me but when I speak those words in alone or in front of mirror I don't stammer even on single word. I get nervous and words are not able to come out of my mouth .
    How to cure this .
It's taking all my life 😭😭

Hey Dr.Aziz this Angesom I have been watching your videos and it helps me a lot to know my self but I have this low self steam and it effecting my life because I think people are talking about me when ever am around people whether if it is in gym, work or other places.
I blame my self a lot for the things that I don’t have and I don’t push my self to do anything unless I have to and the toxic coach are controlling my thoughts and relationships with people.

    • @angesomaregay4429
      @angesomaregay4429 4 роки тому

Like right now I know what I really need to do but I always try to avoid doing it or make excuses.like I made up some things and make it so important and focus on it, Instead doing the things that matter to me and I should be doing in that moment but telling my self I will do later. I got used to so much and when it came to get the results that I need in my life , I don’t get it . Then the low self steam starts because when I see people get what they want, I start to frustrate and get jealous and hate the other people then I start blaming or use the people or the situation around me us an excuse.
