These TeraFlex JL/JLU 2.5-4.5” Lift Front Lower Control Arm Drop Brackets are a must to correct caster and pinion angles on JL Wrangler or JLU Wrangler Unlimited models with a 2.5”-4.5” coil spring lift kit. Additionally, these drop brackets improve overall ride quality resulting in a smoother ride.
Simply install these brackets with the stock front upper control arms and lower control arms on a 2.5”-4.5” lift kits.
Fits:
• JL Wrangler (2-door)
• JLU Wrangler Unlimited (4-door) - Авто та транспорт
Do we know what caster the jeep will have with the mopar lift is there a benefit to this over adjustable lower control arms
Will this clear the drivers side exhaust loop?
Wish you guys made a damn video for the HD Reinforcement brackets..
I have a 2.5inch lift with extended LCA. Will swapping that for this drop bracket help take out some of the on road bump harshness? Also they look sturdy, is the re enforcement bracket really needed for off road? Or just piece of mind?
Yes! The drop brackets will help remove the "rake" or downwards angle of the control arms, which will help reduce NVH. The bracket wouldn't be needed for road driving or "fire road" style off road, but they do help add strength for situations like rock crawling.
I'm curious i have 4.5" kit that came with these drop brackets. If I upgrade and get the IR control arms do I need to remove the drop bracket or do I keep it in place.
Thx
Did they ever answer you? I have a spring 2.5 to 3.5 with the IR control arms and just bought the brackets. And now hearing the video it says use for the factory control arms. Based on the length I used according to their own table of measurements for lifts, it can be used on the IR’s
I have 21 JLUR 2.0L, the front upper control arm bolt (passenger side) is blocked by the exhaust and can't fully remove it. any idea how to do so?
It may require unbolting the full exhaust to gain access to that bolt unfortunately.
How about drop brackets for rear control arms? Do you have them?
We only have these brackets designed for the front. Through our research, they are not needed for the rear.
Are these brackets a way to bypass buying adjustable control arms while on a budget?
Yes, they are designed to be used with factory control arms for this reason.
does the Rubicon control arm is long than the sport control arm ?
Nope, they are the same.
So no need to lower the uppers?
I have the 2.5 in spacer kit on my JL rubicon. It's a beach jeep now. Do I need these ?? Or just moved up to the 2.5 in full full kit ??
What about ground clearance?
Plenty of other stuff will still be lower. Pumpkin, shock braces etc.
Shouldn't torque be done on the ground?
Yes, this jeep was on the alignment rack and fully compressed under it's own weight. If you lifted the vehicle and drooped out the axles, you would want to lower before final torquing.
@@teraflexsuspensions Thx!
hallo,if i buy new FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS
i must istal this Control Arm Drop Bracket Kit on my 3" or is ok to use only FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS ? tx
If you get some adjustable or pre-set control arms you will be able to change the caster so they are not absolutely necessary.
