so happy i saw your video, has the typing experience improved so far? Typing is very important for me and my iphone 11 pro is not accurate in this regard at all.I am between this phone and the iphone 15 plus because of the width of the display, I thought it should be easier to type on a wider display. Not using any of the apple things I use the phone as a phone and for social media/messages etc.How is the cell coverage? Does the Snapdragon perform better than apple in rural areas where there is not a strong cell signal or there is no diff?
Appreciate you stopping by and watching the vid 👍🏾.. The typing has got better definitely with updates. So I'm pleased to say it's much improved. The snapdragon is a workhorse, I've not had 1 crash or anything of the sort. It's so good, how they've made it work so well is truly impressive in my eyes. That's a good question. Having had the 13t. I would say the Honor is a better all round phone. I say that because everything that the Xiaomi does well, I think Honor magic 6 pro does better . The Honor is a flagship phone, a true flagship. But the Xiaomi 14t I don't think is an ultimate flagship.
Great someone brought this up! The typing issue might be a major issue with all honor devices. I use both the honor 90 and honor magic 5 lite as my main phones. They both have this typing issue. I always make typos. For instance, I will have the tip of my finger touch "R" and then "T" is what I get in return. I can't send a whatsapp message or SMS without going back to correct some words. Really annoying. I will be dropping both devices when the my financial situation gets better. Typing sucks with them

I highly recommend the Honor. Not to say Samsung isn't great because it is. But honor is the new guy so it's trying new things and trying harder to compete. As an up and comer it does everything the Samsung does but more. If you want a phone with the best battery in 2024, hands down this is the one to get. There both fast, there both more than capable. But I'd get another Honor without questions
I have s24u and I'm not very impressed with it honestly. Battery life is OK, the phone is fast, but I don't like cameras mostly. Camera doesn't have "sport" or similar function for moving objects. Brightness is kinda weird. Focusing is not good in auto mode. I bought it for a very good price though. Thinking of moving to magic 6pro. Battery life and processor is similar, camera is better in some ways (m6pro lacks good zooming).
I was considering an honor phone. But by the time I can afford to buy a new phone, the s25 ultra will likely be out. And whichever phone I buy, I'll most likely be using for at least 4 or 5 years. I've heard honor is quite iffy with their long term software support. So I'll most likely spend the extra and get an s25 ultra. I'm sure I read somewhere that there doing at least 3 years of updates, I reckon they'll go more. How many years do Samsung say they'll do? I think you have to buy a phone on what it can do now, hoping you get updates might not be the best idea anyway, especially if the updates lag or make your phone crash?
@JustStephen89 samsung committed to 7 years of updates for the s24 ultra, so I'd imagine the s25 ultra will be similar. My mind isn't made up yet though, so we'll see what happens haha. Honor might get more money out of me yet.
Is the honor magic 6 really worth it. Because I'm trying to break free from the norm. But unfortunately oneplus and xiaomi and other phones aren't in my country.
I think it's definitely worth it, if your trying to break the conventional your like me, board of having 2 options, Samsung or Apple. You have to try something else because I think your missing out. The Honor is a great example of this, it's such a great, great phone. What country are you in?
Thank you for your video! 3 things tthat I don't like about the honor is that it doesn't support LHDC Bluetooth codec, the optical zoom is only 2.5x and the screen is too curved while also having a horrible notch like thing going with the cameras that would be extremely distracting to watch anything full screen with it. Apart from that, looks like a solid performer and good value for the price!
Can I ask what type of music you'd be listening to. I get that lhdc is higher quality but for most it's really good, I use my OnePlus buds all the time and the audio I get is really impressive. The curve I really like, it's not that bad truthfully,it's ever so slight. And the notch is useful for face detection, and good for portraits. So it does have it's uses, I'm not sure there is a better way of having it I don't think?? It is a solid choice, for most I would say but not perfect for all.. what phone are you looking at ?
@@JustStephen89 Thank you for your reply! I just bought the oneplus buds pro 3 and they sound really good with my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. It's a shame it does not have LHDC to check and see if there is a noticeable difference! To be honest, I don't want to buy another Samsung. The battery starts degrading a lot over time, the device gets laggy after only a year and few months and in general I expectted better performance from Samsung. I am checking out the Xiaomi 14 ultra, oneplus 12, honor magic 6 pro and the ZTE nubia z60 ultra leading edition. All of them are available for a relatively good price for my market. I don't want to spend over 1000 euros for a device again. But, I am looking for a smartphone that has at least similar camera performance to my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. I don't care about the selfie but the back cameras. The only reason that I'm not seriously considering the nubia z60 ultra is that I read a lot of bad comments regarding software updates and security patches. I use my phone for work as well, security is of the utmost importance for me. Anyways, looking forward to seeing more tech reviews from your channel soon! You explain things very precisely! It's a big jump to go iOS to android or the other way. What's your thinking behind it? It's a great phone the Honor and id recommend it to anyone as it's features are jam packed. What you get on this phone and how fast and reliable it is with a whopper of a battery put it right at the top of lists for me. But for an iPhone user, they make it so hard to get out of iOS, if your wanting an android for a while I'd say yes definitely go for it
Do you want access to Google store without having to do work around and all that stuff? If you do you have to rule out the Huawei. I've not had any time with the Pura so I cnt give an opinion. But my opinion on the Honor is that it's one of the best 2024 phones you can get. Without any doubts
@@JustStephen89 Thanks. I'm totally fine without the google store-apps. The less google bloat the better imo. I am leaning towards the Magic6 tho as it is a well rounded phone.. They are in a similar price range, quality and specs.. Too many choices :)
As an old Matepad 11 user ( SD 865 ) and P20 pro, Huawei is still a viable choice of smartphone. The absence of Google is easily replaced by G Box and other stores ( Aurora Store which emulates the Play Store without Google ). On the software side, if you know what you're doing, you can go. The only downside is the lack of 5G, which you need today. And the price too, the Magic 6 Pro cost less than Mate 60 Pro and Pura 70 line up ( in this economy I'd rather save for something else ). It all depends on your needs. Compare the smartphones, their pros and cons and you'll get your choice ( Me personally, because Honor and it's software reminds me of Emui, my next smartphone is Honor magic 6 Pro or a Xperia 1 V )
When you uploaded this video the Magic 6 had only been released for 6 months. Today, it has been out for 6 months & 9 days. So where are you getting this 8 months from?
I can't say, I've not used the Vivo. I've never used one, I can only say I've heard good things about it but I've not even seen one in real life lol.. Honor for me it's a great phone and something I'm sure you'll enjoy using however 👍🏾
@@JustStephen89 I'm using Huawei nova 4 after my Samsung a42 broke and I hate Emui 12 there's almost no customization. I never used iOS, only just borrowing it from my mom, but the iphone has a way better software but honor has a way better value hardware.
Oh ok I get you, I don't think Apple has better software to be honest, I think if you use android you'll find apple quite restrictive, at least for me that's what I found. And bang for buck Honor wins, apple your paying for the name. But if I was you, just go with your gut, don't think about it too much I'm sure you won't be disappointed either way 👍🏾👍🏾
I don't play games really on my phone. Pubg would work perfectly fine at 120fps because it's a beast of a phone and it's powerful. I don't really do FPS meters or tests like that, best tests are using it and it handles everything really well
learn to swipe type, it solves 95%+ of typing issues like you're having try different camera apps - it's changing the colour because of the lens/sensor you're using for that shot
Lol I'm a pro at swipe type but sometimes you need to press individual letters and that's where the problem lies. Any recommendations about the camera app? I use the stock one at the minute. If think for a flagship phone it should have done better when it comes to the camera's, not that they are bad because there not but certainly fine tuning bits of it to make it overall a better camera app and camera phone 👍🏾
I don't mind the keyboard placement.. I think it's in the right place. I use swipe texting a lot and it's perfect for that. But when I use 2 hands that's when I have issues
Great video, if your happy with your phone that's all that matters, I have the samsung s22ultra, and I've yet to see anything that's worth upgrading to as there are no large camera upgrades that are big improvements over what the s22 ultra give me so ill be keeping it for a while yet 👍
Very true, it's a great phone.. I won't be upgrading unless it's a big improvement on my current phone, I'd like to get my hands on phones like the cmf 1 however because it's quirky
Yeh that's what I was saying, the photos are still good, really good but the colours can change quite a bit which isn't great. That's my only real issue with the cameras
Every other phone I've had my typing is spot on. So now that I'm using this phone it's not and that's all I'm saying. It's not just me either I've had other comments that say the same thing. So it's not me typing wrong, nice one though

Huawei have, Honor haven't been banned. I'm in the UK and I picked mine up here on a carrier. There no longer connected. However with Huawei I do think it was real, I had a Huawei at the time but got rid of it because of that
I've recently used a Xiaomi device.. loved it, really loved it. But it was the 13t pro and the camera was pants. That was the only downside, apart from that it was a brilliant phone. The 14 has top cameras so a great choice. Samsung will be Samsung, great phone I'm sure. I just think if you think of android you think of Samsung, so I tried to look outside the box. Only reason I went for something different. Honor is making some great phone and this is definitely a great phone. A great choice but all 3 are great 👍🏾

What you get on this phone and how fast and reliable it is with a whopper of a battery put it right at the top of lists for me. But for an iPhone user, they make it so hard to get out of iOS, if your wanting an android for a while I'd say yes definitely go for it
I'm torn between Magic6 pro, Mate 60 pro and the Pura 70 pro...
I already addressed this in another comment. I got the dates wrong that's my bad.
Can you suggest hm6pro or vivo x100 pro? For overall phone.
I can't say, I've not used the Vivo. I've never used one, I can only say I've heard good things about it but I've not even seen one in real life lol.. Honor for me it's a great phone and something I'm sure you'll enjoy using however 👍🏾
I really want to get a honor magic 6 pro but the same time i wanna get iphone 14 pro max, i think i'll get major fomo if i get honor instead of iphone
What would you miss out on with the iPhone? What phone do you have now? The Honor will be a massive improvement on the 14 pro max in my opinion
But if I was you, just go with your gut, don't think about it too much I'm sure you won't be disappointed either way 👍🏾👍🏾
Can u do pubg 120fps test on honor magic 6 pro with FPS meter
I don't play games really on my phone. Pubg would work perfectly fine at 120fps because it's a beast of a phone and it's powerful. I don't really do FPS meters or tests like that, best tests are using it and it handles everything really well
learn to swipe type, it solves 95%+ of typing issues like you're having
try different camera apps - it's changing the colour because of the lens/sensor you're using for that shot
If I'm honest I find that people who type fast generally send messages that don't make a lot of sense😂😂😂
Lol very true, I'm like 80 - 20.. 20% of the time it's completely nonsense
@@JustStephen89 🤣🤣🤣
Hello my name is stephen
Nice to meet you
The keyboard needs to be higher
Love from srilanka❤🎉
Appreciate you, thanks 🙏🏾
The photos consistency between lenses is not that well
Yeh that's what I was saying, the photos are still good, really good but the colours can change quite a bit which isn't great. That's my only real issue with the cameras
Bro see your video in slow mo your typing the wrong letters😂
I'm sure I am, that's the point. I'm usually good with typing but with this phone it's harder for some reason.
@@JustStephen89The phone is doing its job correctly, see your video in slow motion you are typing sreohoh and the phone is displaying it correctly.
Every other phone I've had my typing is spot on. So now that I'm using this phone it's not and that's all I'm saying. It's not just me either I've had other comments that say the same thing. So it's not me typing wrong, nice one though
@@JustStephen89play this video in 1.15 minute at o.25 speed.and you will know the truth.the phone is accurate, but you are not.maybe the keyboard letters arrangement is closer or farther than the previous phone you used but the phone is showing what you are typing.
Stop posting HDR videos
Why?
@@JustStephen89 It looks just too bright and washed out, at least on mobile
Btw, what do you think about that “spyware” story? Was that true?
Please tell me more? Spyware ?? Do you mean Huawei?
@@JustStephen89 yeah, back in the day they were the same. Huawei and honor both has been banned from USA and Europe
Huawei have, Honor haven't been banned. I'm in the UK and I picked mine up here on a carrier. There no longer connected. However with Huawei I do think it was real, I had a Huawei at the time but got rid of it because of that
Stuck between getting the Xiaomi 14 ultra or s24 ultra...great! Now im stuck with this magic 6 pro as well...😢😂
I've recently used a Xiaomi device.. loved it, really loved it.
A great choice but all 3 are great 👍🏾
@@JustStephen89 I've decided it's between the Xiaomi 14 ultra and the Honor magic...whatcha think?
I think honor but I'm biased. The Xiaomi 14 will be brilliant though. I had the 13t pro before this and loved it, so both really good choices. Flip a coin, let that be the decider
@@JustStephen89 hahahahaha ok² cool...tho it's X as simple as tossing a coin🤣...but I see where u getting...I was thinking towards the Xiaomi as well since I'm still using the 10tpro as my daily driver...old phone with no more updates but still works like a charm...
You can just change that keyboard thing
It's not a gboard problem though, I've used gboard on all my other phones with no issues so it can't be just that
