The more I hear about anesthesia from you guys, the more eager I am to learn more about the field. I’m already a nurse and I’m sure i want to study anesthesia in its entirety but I’m not sure whether to become an anesthesiologist or a CRNA in order to study it. Thanks for shining a light on CRNAS.
Hi there, Im Nigerian, I have a degree in biology but I'm crazy about becoming a nurse and eventually a crna. No body advised me earlier but aint too late to make amends. With my degree in biology, do i still have to start nursing school afresh. How do i also get access to students loan from Africa
A lot of students get a second degree BSN that takes into account their undergraduate coursework and shortens the program. As far as student loans are concerned, non-US students only qualify for federal student loans if they have permanent resident status. This might mean needing to work as a travel nurse to save money to pay out of pocket and supplement with private loans, which we acknowledge is certainly not an easy route to go. Another cost saving option is to get an associates degree in nursing at a low cost school and using hospital tuition assistance to pay for your BSN completion online
