A good idea is to fill the compressor with water before regassing to reduce corrosion

The schematic does not correspond to the wires in the connector. With the refrigerator plugged in and the connector disconnected what voltages should the black and brown connector pins read and should this be in relation to the refrigerator ground. Lastly, should the multimeter be set to DC or AC. What voltage should be applied to the input to turn on the compressor? Would this just be a connection between the brown and black connections in the connector? I am 74 years old so thank you for your help.

I have a GE Model PNR22MSEBFES - a French door - The fridge is colder than usual - I can't somehow set my temp using the front panel screen - I unplugged the fridge a few times - But still no change - The freezer makes ice - the control panel, however, is not working to set the temp - pressing the buttons not happens - How do you rest the control panel to activate temp control panel - At first it made beeping sound - the panel would flash the 0 34 continuously than stops - the buttons to set your temp is not allowing to set my temp - pressing does nothing - Do I need a control board - Thanks in Advance
