- Randy gives a teaser to tonight’s Fish The Moment jig seminar with a tip on skirt selection...#jigs #springjigfishing #basfishing #fishing
Randy, Thank you for the information. You are a gifted teacher!
Came back to tell you how much I loved and appreciate the “jig seminar” you and Jonny did tonight! It was amazing. The jig is my confidence bait but I still learned a ton. Thanks so much. I already tie my own hair/marabou jigs so I am going to start tying my own bass jigs as well. Thanks Randy, you guys did a great job. 😃👍🏼
Good video Randy. Thanks for the info!!
Thanks Randy. Have a great day.
Thanks Randy great tip one of my fav baits is the jig .
Live rubber works really well on Cumberland especially on the north end. Not real sure why but it’s noticeably better north of white oak creek. You have any idea why that is Randy?
Randy, I'll have to start taking notes with me on the water to remember all these tips and tricks. Mind over load LOL
Another good video. Hey randy, is there any way folks can nab a copy of these seminars if we weren't able to make them? Maybe dowloading them for a small price? Something to think about!
Hey Randy, where do you buy your custom skirt materials? Is there a shop you recommend?
What about water temp? Doesn’t rubber have better movement in cold water?
Hi Randy! I used to get living rubber from Frank Hauck back in the 1070's ! He was a supplier from Northern California back in the day.
I’ve been contemplating buying some rubber skirts for jig building. My lake is basically mud all year really need that extra pizazz on that jig presentation sometimes!
Is there a situation where NOT use a jig? my river is always murky and soft bottom.
That is a fascinating tip. Any idea on why the live rubber has that narrow visibility sweet spot over silicone?
I think it has to do with the fact that rubber puts off sort of a glow in the water. For some reason that works good under those conditions
@@randyblaukatintuitive I appreciate the response. I had no idea that would be the reason. Fascinating stuff!
Thanks Randy, like all the content. Like you I have a lot of Rattle back jigs but struggle to find the best method to change/replace skirts on them. Any hacks or tricks? Thanks
What about a combination of both living rubber and silicone??? Seems like that would be the best of both worlds. I often do this, especially when I tie finesse jigs.
I catch more than half my fish on a jig, make my owns and only use black, brown or white rubber. Of course hear in the north east we fish a lot of tidewater rivers, rock and 2-3 ft of water clarity is pretty normal. Mostly I started fishing with a jig in the late ‘70s and never saw a reason to change.
Hey Randy would like to hear your opinion on reels and rods DC or svs
Id be happy using living rubber at all times. Maybe a bit of silicone for color/contrast
