    This "deepest draft since..." has been going on since forever, I will just wait and see how they play.

    • @hostjoe
      @hostjoe 7 років тому +20

      theSUBVERSIVE the last draft was trash, Simmons is injured, Ingram can't shoot and Brown is looking decent. The fact that a dude from a different draft class is the favorite to win ROTY shows how weak the 2016 draft was. 2014 was a weaker draft as well Wiggins, Parker, Embiid and Lavine. 2013 the 1st overall draft pick was Anthony Bennett.

      the top 2 ROY candidates are from different drafts. considering embiid is out for the rest of the year i think saric gets it

    • @hostjoe
      @hostjoe 7 років тому +9

      Pyrotechnic it is unfortunate that Embiid probably won't win it, maybe he and saric will be sharing ROTY, same with Russ and Harden sharing MVP. I wouldn't be upset about that.

      He kinda looks like him too, lol. I think Fultz has a bigger potential. Better size, bigger defensive potential, and seems like he has some Harden/Wade finishing prowess that Lillard has always lacked.

    He would fit great in Boston. We need more dynamic scorers, it will help ease the defensive pressure on IT and he is insuance for the 2018 offseason when we have to pay either IT, Avery or Marcus.

    • @Ryandupont0896
      @Ryandupont0896 7 років тому +1

      Might be a very bold prediction but if we land the #1 and ainge decides to go with Markelle, Ill actually be surprised if Isaiah thomas is playing in a celtic uniform for the 18-19 season. As much as I love Isaiah, he's bad for the longevity of the team because of how much of a liability he is on the defensive end. Although we'll obviously lose his contribution on the offensive end, a backcourt of fultz + bradley (with smart coming off bench) could be a better option moving forward especially if we land Michael Porter Jr in 2018

    • @t4d0W
      @t4d0W 7 років тому

      +Ryan Dupont
      I agree. At 2018-19 Thomas would like to stay a Celtic but he's gonna want that big contract pay out. At that time Ainge/Stevens have good are going to make their star first round pick their foundation player moving forward. Also if the C's land a useful free agent as well who can score, it would decrease the demand for wanting to sign Thomas as well.

    been hesitant to wish for the Lakers to draft cos I can already envision the Jackson-Ingram will be deadly & the fact that their young core already has Clarkson and Russell but there's no doubt in my mind that ANY team who gets #1 SHOULD draft this guy. You cant pass up such a special talent. He's one of the rare prospects that actually played great in college & is projected to have HUGE potential at the same time.

    • @travz21
      @travz21 7 років тому +1

      You can learn proper defense quickly with good coaching. You can't learn elite offense. Offense will always be more important than defense when scouting.

    • @drewmorris3580
      @drewmorris3580 7 років тому

      travz21 ummm Kwahi.. Jimmy Butler. Serge Ibaka Offense is wayyyy easier to teach

    • @nostalgicbliss5547
      @nostalgicbliss5547 7 років тому +1

      You named two exceptions to the rule and concluded that offense was easier to teach?! Ibaka is a role player, so he really doesn't count. Plus we have not seen Butler lead a good team as the best offensive player, so the jury is still out on him.
      The best case her is Kawhi who has become an efficient scoring machine. But he also plays for the best organization in the NBA with a top 3 coach in NBA history, so that definitely helps. Plus Kawhi is very intelligent with a great worth-ethic. Becoming elite on offense is much more difficult than learning the fundamentals on defense.
      Great defense is more about the system than one individual player. If everyone on the team knows their role on defense and plays with optimum effort and focus, the team can be successful. Playing harder or focusing more is not going to make you become a natural like Fultz is.
      That is pure talent that has been molded by years of practice and coaching. You have to actually have the gift before anything can be achieved when it comes to offensive talent in the NBA. The same applies for the NFL, Soccer, and many other individual sports out there.

    This guy will probably go #1. Most teams aren't willing to invest a couple of years to address Lonzo ball's wack game. Fultz will make an impact straight away. Might not be a superstar but he'll be good.

      William Lee Lonzo is just as good as him right now, but you also have to consider potential. The skills Fultz has shown makes him the number one prospect. Lonzo is an elite passer and has proven he can stroke it from deep, but fultz on top of being able to pass and shoot as well has exhibited a unique array of sho creating ability that Lonzo has never shown. Lonzo hasn't ever had a mid range game, probably due to his shot mechanics, not a great shot creator or talented finisher, and also hasn't shown a floater/runner. All crucial moves you want in a guard. Fultz just has that all and still has an incredibly high basketball IQ as well, you can't really say Lonzo is that much better than him or has a better cekling

    A point guard that holds the ball too long, that only runs isolation plays is not really going to help teams win. He needs to stay another year in college. He will struggle in the NBA for one reason. He's an iso player that can't shoot free throws.

      +Lonce Bethea if I were coaching his defensive stance, I'd have my arms in front of my chest, more like a boxer. It's hard to move laterally when you bring your arms back behind you like he's doing in those 2 clips. Maybe he was in foul trouble or something. But watch how he brings his arms forward once his man starts to drive. That slows him down and allows him to bring his weight too far forward

Obviously if we're #1 Lonzo is of limits his dad wants him to play in LA and even if he we draft him his dad might take over his career and if we pick up Markelle he could fit in well as a good 2guard I just hope if we plan on trading that pick it better be good
