Installing Non Stop Tuning Lightweight Pulleys - Part 2
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 лип 2024
- Installed the lightweight pulleys from Non Stop Tuning and took them back to the dyno. Not much was gained from the pulleys but driving response seems to be improved. Will need to run them for a little longer to see if they really made a difference.

FYI the alternator bolt on the engine block is removable and can be replaced!
Bro. Try to hold the alternator pulley with your old belt wrapped around it then impact wrench it.
That's what I did with mine.
Gracias por tus videos bro!!! Síguele así
It might be the size of the new crank pulley is smaller so it needs to spin more to move the same length of belt. Seem like it does affect hp
hey bud can I get a link to the tool at 4:40 from amazon?
You can unthread that bolt in the block where the alternator bracket goes in. It's got a hex on it and it comes right out. I have one too and I think you can flip that stud so the longer part has the bracket on it, and the shorter end goes in the block
Good to know! I didn't bother to see if it was possible but now that I know, I may give it a shot at a later date!
brother a question where did you buy the pulleys?
@@user-ym8dm3iz1f Link is in the description
Exactly friend you can remove that bolt and replace it with another. I also put that same tensioner and changed the bolt for one for an allen key
Good to know! I'll try changing mine out at a later date!
Sounds like you're detecting the difference of rotational mass that the engine has to turn with stock pullys you Should try the belt That by passes the AC. I noticed a difference on my yaris bypassing the AC.
Damn man this is disheartening, was going to buy these lightweight pulleys but now not so sure, if you had to due it over again would you install them again?
I think I would still install them because they did make a slight difference in terms of how the car feels, but I can't confirm if they really did increase hp as there were too many factors that could have contributed to the dyno readings.
Amigo cuantas libras-pie llevaría en la del alternador ?
96
Why did you only rev to 4000rpm? Why not all the way up to the power band 6000rpm?
That was suggested from the dyno guy but also because its an auto and shifted around 4k
Are there cams available for this engine?
Yes, I believe Scorpion Multimedia on youtube made a video installing some JUN camshafts on his yaris
@arvin_arn oh yeah that's right. Forgot about that
