  • Installed the CUSCO lower chassis bar onto the Yaris. Very easy bolt on modification to help strengthen the front of the chassis by connecting the front control arm to the rear subframe bolts.

You might wanna check on subframe collars too, not sure if this is the same name in your country since these vary depending on the market. In our country its Magic Collar and Stiff Ring. As per the reviews, in theory it really helps both as a daily and/or casual track days for some Yaris/Vios owners here. This might be a good trial and error together with the chassis braces since chassis bars might also have some diminishing return discussion on grip/flex on short tracks as far as my limited knowledge understands?

Good to know! I will take a look into this. So far it seems to have a slight improvemnt on the front, I have little more confidence taking corners now but will wait for autocross to fully test

do you still need a strut bar when you have front chasis bar already?

That's something I could experiment with. Given how close the upper strut towers are to the firewall, I shouldn't need them, but in my experience when I would run without the strut bar, the front felt soft and so i've always kept it on. But I could try it out and see how it feels 👍

Did it actually help handling bro? I have the Yaris hatchback and the handling is mad bad on cornering stock I am trying to fix it up going to start with coilovers or springs then the bar and, some sway bars

They definitely helped, but my car was already setup with additional suspension components prior to installing. I would focus on the suspension first (coilovers/springs/dampers), sway bars, then bracing.

Thanks for posting I have this brace but have not yet installed. Looks like we have the same brakes up front did you find a solution for the rear to switch to disc brakes?

I haven't looked much into the rear disc conversion but its something I would like to do
