Stacey was a nail-biter. I'm also a nail-biter, so I know what it's like. Sometimes I end up cutting my nails way too far down just to get rid of all the rough edges I've made by biting them - it doesn't mean that a cop did it to me.
In fact, that sounds like the sort of thing that a cop probably would not do since it would look so suspicious in itself.

@@willsama8134 What are you basing that off of? You don't know this onion person. Literally no one is "supporting" Reed, we all know he probably deserves worse than death. I think it is ridiculous to make this an issue of racism, because he is a disgusting person either way and probably deserves worse than death, but not for a crime he didn't commit. And we can't know for sure if he was the one to kill Stacey. Personally I would say I'm rather unbiased in regards of the whole race-controversy. I was incredibly disgusted with what Bella said about him in the video, especially the 12-year old, and I assumed based on the sperm found and the patterns of his rapes that he is guilty. However the other aspects of the case really made me doubt it and for me now it is literally a chance of 50/50.
In the end this is about justice and the law should simply be followed strictly and correctly, no matter if we are talking about black or white people. And in this case the police simply failed to do their job properly, wich brought upon this whole problem in the first place. I think that portraying Rodney as this innocent black victim of white justice is disgusting considering the crimes he committed but the case also isn't as simple as it may seem at first glance. Every single argument on one side is weighed out by the other side and I think it would be much easier to solve if it were done without race bias. So we are not doing anyone a favour by making this about race :)

I think my theory is probably what a lot of people think happened: Jimmy found out about the affair and had his cop buddies help him murder her. The investigation went poorly because he is a cop and we all know how corrupt police can be. They most likely picked a night knowing that Stacy had recently had sex with Rodney and that semen would still be in her. They pinned it on Rodney knowing his history would work in their favor and that he would most likely be convicted of the crime. The one friend felt so guilty about the whole situation, he was probably the weak link, and maybe that guilt ate him up to lead to his suicide. I do not agree with Rodneys actions either and do not agree with what he has been found guilty of, but there is no way he is guilty of this crime. There’s no real motive there. And like you said Jimmy has all the motive. Hopefully they can all come to their senses and exonerate him of this crime.

The State refuses to test the belt because it's been contaminated; what evidentairy value it may once have held, is ruined. Also The state had no problem agreeing to have tests performed on reasonable and uncontaminted items in 2014. Those items found more of Reed's DNA intermingled with the victim's on key items located in the truck. The DNA evidence against Reed is so strong at this point that even if Fennell's DNA shows up on the belt, it will not change the original outcome; especially since Fennell lived with Stacey. Ultimately, it's a clever stall tactic by the defence to ask for DNA tests, but it has little evidentiary value in the big scheme of things.

My theory is that she left for work early so, already suspicious she was having an affair, Jimmy followed her and found she went to rodneys house where he waited for her to leave and after seeing it with his own eyes for the first time, he follows her as she leaves rodneys and heads to work where Jimmy kills her. Rodney was not even on anyone's radar at the time until he attacked another woman much later, showing that this would have been crucial information and that if Jimmy set him up, he didn't even try to point the cops in Rodney's direction. I’m so torrrrn but I keep coming back to ... if Jimmy killed her because he knew she was having an affair, and went through all the effort of not leaving a trace of evidence, wouldn’t he just try pin it on Rodney? As in leave something of Rodney’s at the crime scene to try incriminate him?
