Thank you for the Tab recording and for subscribing back. I am trying to improve the quality of my recordings for the concerts I attend this year. Would you recommend an audio recording device like the Tascam DR-40x as a good option to get the audio for somebody just starting out?
My concert schedule coming up is going to be Goose + Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Dan Deacon in March, Ween and Disco Biscuits in April... i wont record disco biscuits since they stream. In may I'm going to Incubus. I'll be trying to figure out something to improve the sound before then.
Krazy Calvin Sure that could work fine! but your mics are more important... it's all about the budget because you can get some decent mics for about $1000 or you can go much higher, neumann, akg, schoeps and more
Also how are you getting stuff thats obviously recording equipment into the venue? I'm always afraid they are going to stop me if I bring anything other than a cell phone and an external battery pack. I'm thinking that I can bring in the tascam in my bag and if they press me on it ill say its just a fancy audio player. Whats the worst that can happen, they ask me to take the stuff to the car?
I saw the comment that it was cut by UA-cam..bummer. I had a great interaction with Trey during Mozambique that led to him picking up the YEM Transcription at the end of the 1st set. Thanks for sharing this though! Lots of great memories flood back.
