I really like the need to suppress before getting closer, it's something I'm always looking for ... strange choice of font for the tokens I would say. (something I think is well designed in Conflit Of Heroes)
Thanks Matt, you got me interested in the design, despite it being a tactical game that I'm not normally much into. I've just recently played Space Empires 4x (same designer) and really appreciate his ideas and simple combat with no CRTs
Games that take an hour for others, take five hours for me and my friends lol. I think my playgroup has problems with just winging it. We want to make good decisions which makes our games longer. If we can finish a Band of Brothers game in three hours, it's fast for us lol.
Its a good series in that it does a great job of having mechanics integral to suppressing the enemy and finishing them. It shines as a straight forward, no tables required, quick playing, squad based tactical game based on that suppression mechanic. Tanks etc are a layer on top but would say that the squad infantry mechanics are the main course here.
I have first edition of this and Screaming Eagles and will have to buy them again for consistency of map design, when the series expands in future, which is a drag, especially as they look awful. By the way, which scenario is that? I don't recognise it.
Your reviews are far, far too positive. I've played a few games which you own and you systematically fail to be critical. Ghost Panzer: this is not an "easy" game. It is a complex game, quite clearly. Teaching this to others takes time as there are many rules nuances. I own the "remastered" Ghost Panzer with rev 2.1 of the rule set and there are STILL omissions and errors which you fail - again - to mention in a video review.
What is easy or good is subjective, this game in particular i cant comment on but im here watching simply because ive read many claims that this is a easy intro-level wargame.
@@-Markus- It's complex compared to non-wargames, but pretty simple for a wargame. I think Combat Commander is less complex though. After trying many systems, BoB is my favorite.

This or Fighting Formations for solo play, thoughts...?

I go back and forth on this one - still haven’t tried yet.
