I asked my local Dyno center here in NZ to book my 2017. 701 in for a dyno run with the Pcv. Asked him if I should buy and fit the tecmo header beforehand. He told me not to bother, as a few of the ones he done actually reduced the hp by -1 . Said it’s just not worth the money they cost just to find out you either gain 2hp maximum or loose 1hp. Said every bike is different. So I’m gunna spend the extra money on a re-ground cam later. Nice video mate.

That's the thing, every bike and dyno is different. And it's not always about the peak power, it's the area under the curve and the mid range. But yes, spending money on a cam will be much more worth it 👌😎

Remember that dyno figures are always given as "at the wheel power" they're not calculated to crank so that's 72hp at the wheel and there's roughly 10% loss through the transmission and wheel so that's roughly 80hp at the crank. The 701 and new 690 use the same engine with 74hp at the crank as standard.

Rottweiler has made a new map for the Temko header. Would you be into comparing their map against your new map? I know this videos a year old I would like to see those two maps compared against each other to see which one you like best. Or to see the different tables. All I can say is when I installed the titanium header I did notice that it wasn't as good as before I install the header. After installing the new Rottweiler map for the Temko header it's back to being a monster.

IMO Autotune is great if you're always riding with drastic changes in altitude but i'm not sure if you have to connect a computer to save the changes all the time :/. I'm very rarely above 300m so probably not worth it for me. The header is pretty and gave a nice boost in power but as this is the first generation pipe it's a pain as it's in the way of the oil filter it has a couple of fitting issues which i think have been sorted now. I've noticed that their stock dyno run (on their website) was 73.5 so that's either massively inflated or they are calculating crank hp. There's only 1 or 2 bikes I've seen with 80hp at the wheel and they had a performance cam installed with lots of other mods. I think a new intake will be next on my list but got lots of maintenance to do on it before I do that.

I think if you have a supermoto you shouldn't care that much how much HP or torque u can get out of it, a 700 will have plenty already and the thing is a really powerful supermoto will wheelie too quicky I believe. My supermoto only weighs 95kg and the basic mods and tunings I do to it cost almost nothing, and those are the most important as well being: countershaft elimination, open air filter, decat, carbu optimization, derestriction on the CDI & iridium spark plug, that's already gonna make it fly I believe :).
