      Yeah, for the bike - that's valid for sure! Now it's about gear to wear, and so so much administrative things, like insurances and more. Until I can finally post videos from the trip as well, I`m going on informing you about all this. Thank you for your subscription, I hope you have fun with my content! Cheers Jörg

    Hello, very good explanation of the bike modifications by Touratech. But, why did you choose Garmin Tread instead of Garmin Montana 750i or similar satellite navigation?

    • @my-global-ride
      @my-global-ride  Рік тому

      Honest answer - my researches didn't go far enough, to reach the Montana 750 or similar. That's because I found everything I need in the Tread. Mostly On-Road navigation (which is not the priority for the Montana I guess), secondly off-road navigation, but as well the option for the Inreach System, and last but not least - I have a lockable Bike-Holder by Touratech, that allows me to leave the item on the bike, if I have to leave a few minutes at the gas station or if I have to show the little man the big world;-)
      Thank you for the appreciation, I hope you stay tuned to the channel - the most interesting things are up to come, beginning the journey in August in Vancouver.
      Best regards from Bavaria, Jörg

      @@my-global-ride Hello Jörg, very true answer. And I'm okay with it due to the very good explanation. In the past I only checked for the Montana but will include the Garmin Tread in my suggestions for a similar configuration as you have. Many Thanks for your answer. I'll stay tuned to see what's coming up here :)

    Is the factory TFT view blocked by the navigation attached to the handle bars?

    • @my-global-ride

      No, off course not. You can adjust the angle, so you have free visibility to the original TFT. Best regards, Jörg

      Hey Simon. Was checking today......and have to admit - I don't know exactly wich screws you mean. The largest visible are the long ones between the Holder and the base-plate. They are M4 by 40mm (just measured for you). The screw size you mentioned, could only be the ones, that go into the Handlebar Holder. You will understand, that I`m not going to unscrew those, just to measure. Afraid this is not very helpful for you, but the best I could do. Have a nice Sunday, regards from Bavaria, Jörg

    The music is too loud I had a lot of trouble hearing you properly

    • @my-global-ride
      @my-global-ride  Рік тому

      Thank you so much for the feedback! And obviously, you are right! A friend of mine gave me the same, so yes - depending on the Soundsystem, the music overlays my voice. Not an excuse but for understanding: I do the editing at home with Studio monitors (speakers), these are very neutral, and there it sounded pretty good. A lot of consumer Soundsystems (in TV`s, Soundsystems, phones and headphones, do amplify the music, so the voice isn't loud enough. I suppose, that's what happened here. Still, this is my mistake - and I promise, in the next Video I will be aware of this problem. anyway thanks for watching, and stay tuned! best regards from Bavaria, Jörg

    Has your lovely wife been on the back? My wife finds the box too close to her back and the top tilts her forward even more. She is not big either. If triumph had the back plate level rather than tilted up it would make a huge difference.

      Not jet - we have our first testride in 10 days. But I had the same setup on my Multistrada and Superadventure, and she loved it. We'll see how it goes on the Tiger ;-)

      @shegocrazy Рік тому

      @my-global-ride I'll watch out for the reactions. The manufacturers don't really cater well for passengers. My wife has come from a big comfy cruiser and so the back of the tiger is a bit of a change for her.

      @@shegocrazy It's always about expectations and where you come from. My wife came from - not being a biker-chick at all, to fearful co-riding, to "wow, with that backrest, and the armrests made out of more luggage it's really comfy - lets go far" 😍. I'll let you know in 10 days what she said about the actual setup🙂
