I have one of these MG7’s in 358 and love it. I think on a sub gun it is just as quite as my full size Dead Air Wolf. I am a big DA fanboy too. So, I am not trashing them I have a good few of their cans and love them. But as long as stainless is good enough for your needs (toughness and weight specifically) then I think Rex is the best can dollar for dB on the market right now.
Been looking for info on comparing these cans to the wolfman!! Been thinking about getting the mod x in 358 so it’ll be modular like the wolfman. Any more notes?
@@FiveStarDegenerate I have a few modular cans. I will tell you that I always find the configuration I like and leave the damn thing alone. I always feel that the modular capabilities are a waste as I never use them. I have a MOD-X in 308 and love it. But, I never shoot it in the short configuration. I love the MG7 358 and is one of my favorite do all cans. It genuinely sounds good on most everything. I would go MG7 358 if I were comparing it to the Wolfman. There is also a great discount code if you poke around on the AR15 forum enough.
I have a mg10 in 458. Basically the same can but longer with a larger bore. I like it alot. i use on basically everything larger than 308. Sounds great on 458 socom and 45-70 subs.
Cans like this and the YHM N20 make the "do it all" cans like the Optimus seem unnecessarily complex. Being able to disassemble it is nice, but the flexibility of the 1.375x24 thread is worth such a premium to me now that I can't see buying a suppressor any other way. Can't wait for your review on the Seg H!
Was planning on a wolfman for my first can, then I saw these and decided I'd go for an MG7 in .358 and in .264 at basically the same price. Pretty stoked. Should have enough saved up to finally do the form 4s in January I think.
With a pair of R9s, an Octane and a recently jailed Wolfman do I need another 9mm can? No. Do I want another one? Yes. I've been really tempted to add a Rex can to the trust and I think the 358 bore is the way to go especially being able to share accessories with my YHM cans.
Did you ever get one? I was considering the Wolfman due to versatility, but the MG7 358 is less expensive and more versatile. I know Wolfman long is quieter, but how do you compare it to the R9?
This is the first suppressor that's made me consider changing my mind away from an Omega 9k. Only thing I dislike is the lack of Cerakote but that can be remedied.
You like your omega9k? I'm kinda disappointed in mine. I've been running it on a scorpion micro. It's bearable with subs, but awful with supers. Sound suppression leaves something to be desired.
I can’t decide between the 308 or 356. I plan to shoot this primarily on my 8” 300 Blk but I like the idea of 9mm if I wanted too. The 300 would be my home defense and priority. Is the extra size worth it to have more “fun” or am I sacrificing from my overall goal of a hearing safe home defense 300 Blk?
@@nfareview I wish I could could afford both. As far as I’m concerned your sale is the best price in stock right now but I can’t afford 2 cans so I’d love your feedback on which to Getz
Unless you have a .45 pistol or PCC, this can seems to be a helluva value with no barrel restriction where you can run basically anything except those large bore calibers. If you want the quietest PCC can, there are better options, but they won't be able to run rifle supers, etc. if you want one can to rule them all (jack of all trades, master of none).
@@ryantruong315 this suppressor was meant for a “fixed barrel”. Handgun barrels move when they shoot, the booster helps the ammo cycle. If you don’t use a booster you will have to rack the slide every round you shoot
Ok so technically speaking it's not rated for the extremely powerful .30-.375 and .338-.375 Weatherby magnums, but honestly if it was that would just be a waste of material. That cartridge rating list is super impressive.
The more versatile it is, the louder it general is on the smaller calibers. Say I got a 6.5 Creedmoor specific can, it would be quieter than a can that can run up to 9mm and 30 Cals.
A little off subject, can you make a video about how effective the M-16, M4, AKM, AK74, M14, G3, are on full-auto, at 300 to 560 yards. Firing at a point target from standing, unsupported, kneeling (braced or not), and Prone. Using short burst, I'm curious how many hits would really land in a real life situation. I know you can't cover every shooting condition. I thought it would be cool to see which weapon system works the best all around. Thank you.
I like this channel but holy fuck man, it should be called “suppressor review channel” since thats 99.9% of the content, yeah I get it the suppressor makes it quieter blah blah blah, same shit different day, review other nfa items like sbr’s or sbs’s or aow’s
No one gives a fuck about store bought sbs and sbr. Just make your own lol. Only supressors matter because we can't actually shoot them or see them before purchasing
I have exactly the same config for MP5 and was shooting the same ammo. Nothing like what you show here. Something is really off here. Mine is at least 5 times louder - I need ear protection to shoot with this can. Remove your vid and stop cheating people.

@12:12 mark he keeps touching the suppressor when he's using it on the pistols. How come? Is it unthreading itself?
Yes. Common on pistols.

It’s the same one for 308. You have to use janky AI mags and they suck. Magpul is supposed to drop mags for it soon.
