I can’t believe how amazingly fluid that instrument is. ‘62 appears to be THE year for rosewood strats. Extremely jealous. If I ever hit the lottery. I’m buying me one.
Mark Agnese before he left Norms was my go to guy for top line vintage guitar info. Thankfully I discovered your YT which is much better. More in depth info not only on guitars but also amps for us geeks. Great guest guitarist too. Great stuff many thanks. Still only 14k subscribers though. I don’t understand this. Spread the word.
Hmm I dont know, the you guy at norms his Name is lemmo I think just plays the guitars in the most musical way. What a better way to hear a vintage instrument ...
Nigel Freer Maybe I’m just a Norm fan but their videos provide very nice entertainment and just have a smooth organic feel to them. They laugh , they make mistakes, they just have fun basically. This style of video has a layer of “ sell you this guitar” type of feel. Norms videos have the feel of “ we love this guitar and want to show it off and have fun playing it. I’m just crazy though
I still prefer the inuendos agnesi threw in and his delivery all around a better match (but that's just me) in regards to emerald City, it's a completely different delivery, it's like saying "which (ONE) musical influence you had?" To Stevie Ray Vaughn... (Not really a logical angle)
Amazing guitar and amp combo! I love this channel for all the info! I’d love to hear some playing up front just to set the mood. I can’t wait to get lost in the shop next time in Seattle!
I have had a slab board March 62 strat from 1965. Only an opinion but i think that the slab rosewood boards in terms of brightness are in the middle of the maple and veneered necks. My rhythm player had a pre CBS strat, 1964, and this was a far more mellow sounding guitar than mine. I wonder what everyone else thinks about the neck differences in terms of tone.
Wow 🤩 Amazing guitar 🎸 Amazing Amp!” and I love love love 10’s.. And yes One of my nicest rosewood necks is veneer and amazing. I would love hearing that guitar through a fender just for reference because it’s so stark just to 🆎 anyway Cheers 🥂
Dream strat. I always thought my dream start was a slab board fiesta red but when I saw some in person, that's it! I'm from 50s telecasters, maple boards so the veneer board is a good inbetween for me. Idc what anyone says. It makes a diffrence
That strat and amp are gorgeous sounding together. But I’d really like to know if that Les Paul Special in the mint/sea foam green is still available…. 😅😊
I got a Dakota red with slab rose wood board and it's great an all but the veneer sounds more better maybe it's the response and resonance of the veneer that I like better on my tele but that's what I like better.
it should be pretty close to un faded under the pick guard and that should tell you exactly what red it is. the way the paint chipped of the back looks like water or a moisture issue at some point? was the neck super chunky? it sounds good tho! that amp was a good one to pair up with!
Hey, does anyone know what amp/ guitar is always used in the intro? I love the sound and I would really appreciate a reply. Btw I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and I’m glad we can get together and talk about gear. Rock on everyone 🤘
Clapton,Beck,Hendrix,Gilmour,Malmsteen & Me love and loved the Strat.. ....maybe those greats are having so much fun with Strats, there's no time left to play LesPaul's.....oh well.
Why does the owner or the "future owner" of E.C.G. have a '62 Strat that he talks about and I'm sure many other great instruments but never bangs out a G Chord from time to time????????? He's not one of those guys I hope!!!!!!!!!
Gotta follow the channel. Trevor rips on his left handed guitars, and he can play fully right handed guitars, left handed, without the strings being flipped. Dude’s a player.
I love these videos but the idea that theres some objective tonal difference on a plugged in electric guitar with a slab vs. veneer board is just silly. And this is coming from someone who does believe that the wood in an electric guitar matters in terms of it's amplified sound.
@@RubenStuveling yeah, gotta make that blues lawyer feel like he's missing something from his tonal palette if he doesn't have both a slab and a veneer board in his arsenal
Sounds very well but why don't you show the back of the neck you showed the back of guitar which shows alot of wear which is normal lovemarks. But show the back of the neck to see if it's been dropped or has Nick's on it if I'm going to pay top dollar for a guitar I don't want a neck that got dents or what ever it makes people wonder!
Wow. Breathtaking. The guitar and that amp are both amazing!

Buy a BLADE Texas Standard Pro, os you have more of the fender-princinp!
Monstrueux ca calme !!
😍😍😍
As always, very nice Aaron.

@@lilTwigLP Lemmo is a far better than Mark but Mark is generally more knowledgeable.

It’s all awesome, bro.
Fantastic..
Dreamguitar and amp❤
Beautiful set up!!!! Wow those 10s follow him with such immediacy and breakup. Stunning Marshall and Strat combo.
Dakota red...with that guard...Brazilian board....very very nice collectible....👍👍wood seasoned magnets degaussing...real aging....
Amazing guitar and amp combo! I love this channel for all the info! I’d love to hear some playing up front just to set the mood. I can’t wait to get lost in the shop next time in Seattle!
Love the Dakota red… 🤩
How can anyone "thumbs down" this is, beyond me?
Great Dakota red.sweet combo.he had it screaming for a second!
Dakota red is a beautiful color
Very cool...great playing showing off the amp and fiddle, especially with the volume/break up. Just wished there was more playing!
Man, that is cool. Guitar, Amp and playing. So sic!!!!
Amazing pick. Top notch.
Cheers

Hey Zeus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guitar is incredible and so is the amp :-O
DAAAMMMNN 🔥

A wise man once said all I have is a red guitar three chords and the truth
very nice strat & played , jerome thebassiste ( from france )

Where is the divot on the pickguard by the truss adjustment??
Not all strats sound like strats, this one does!
Ok. If that had a slab it'd be my dream guitar.
I think putting a 58' neck on it wouldn't be too crazy...

Dean ween plays this guitar but his version is heavily modified
Great video thanks! Next time could you show us the Fiesta up against the Dakota red please!!
Beautiful axe

1962! mon année de naissance
Nice crispness.

Not into red 🎸 BUT I do like this color 🎸 ,..
Same, the fiesta or candy apple red is too bright but this is great
Is his name Joe? FYI is James still there?
that surf green LP tho...good god
FInally someone played a Strat with some overdrive!
What strings do you guys use?
Probably guitar Strings😊
Bonita
Maybe I'll sell my own little music store and come work here.
Dude, that strat was screaming.
mother of god
Great video indeed, but maybe it would have worked better with less talking and more playing. Congrats on the good work though.
So the guy sold his Dakota red strat to buy a les paul
Only thing that makes sense

Yeah it's ridiculous. But it's also another way to differentiate and make one guitar dearer. So I understand it from a business point of view.
