That's interesting... I think China should definitely use this against India. Indian soldiers can have so much fun bringing them down with stones; I mean everyone needs some entertainment during a boring battle with China.

Such mosquito type flying machines have been made and tried by various countries since long but it could be used only sports and other entertaining events. No body even thought their utility for military purposes.

@@kanishkdhanker0280 Why even waste Bofors shells. Give some Javelins to Neeraj and his team. Add some explosives to their snout and they would do the job of bringing down these toys. The added weight in the snout would give a greater pull and with air being lighter in heights, Neeraj might even hit CCP hinterland with his throws. :)

This Gyrocopter has a scaled down version of JF-17 time machine display and can fire two 600 kiloton Nuclear bombs. It can easily defeat F-22 and F-35. Truly a Masterstroke by Jinping Sir

Forget manned gyrocopters, since they are ahead in AI technology these could be made into lethal unmanned platforms. I can envision close air support in conjunction with WZ-10 attack helicopters or by itself can be used as a kamikaze drone. You can up armor the engine and structure to take a direct hit from a 30mm and put a powerful 500kg bomb inside.
What about service ceiling?
Our mindset is our biggest enemy.
Top officials will let the problem rise up to our neck then we will think about possible solutions for a decade or so.

Sure they have to take off and fly well ahead of the helicopters because they are very fast and noisy. And in higher altitude probably even more so.
@@priyadarshi8548 I think they might not be useful to PLA in Ladakh region but they will be quite useful in Arunachal Pradesh.

1. Arunachal might be not high as Ladakh but it's high enough. For example, Tawang is just 10 miles south of LAC and has a height of over 3000 meters. I don't see these toys being capable of doing more than rescue ops there.
2. It's Chinese, enough said. For example, their jet radars have one of the highest array configurations but their jet engines aren't powerful enough to support even half of that configuration.

The Chinese are very clever; these can be used as swarms against an enemy or drop enemy units behind lines. Just like a pawn in chess these can be useful.

These machines can rain down fire on the enemy below. Indian machine guns will not have the range to shoot down.

They don't care about their soldiers so we should not underestimate the mosquito by assuming that they won't use it at an altitude of 4400 meters!
Without oxygen systems the crew will black-out before 3900m. And O2 gear weighs alot.

Except that (very important) point, this type of gyro is equipped with C115 zongshen-aero-engines turbo!
It can fly with modification of propeller incidence at more than 8000 meters (it has been done)

Good practice targets for L/70's
How effective is this in logistical support? I think it is great for logistical support if operational cost is cheap and payload capacity is more. This will help them to keep high altitude platforms only in required areas.

And easy to crash also against gush of wind and cyclone, Og course it can transport one soldier at a time and will have to make hundred of trips to transport hindered soldiers with numerous crashes and braught down by small firing arms, then how it will be cheaper.
@@Rakesh4809 This is the problem with us even in Millitary. We want every thing to be perfect. Even the nut and bolts with self protective armours.
No think about this . As of now our planning/strategy revolves around the fact where enemy has road,infra etc. Based on satellite images. These mosquitoes will actually (not in front line areas but far deeper in enemy territory with minimal air defense support of say 30km which are actually safe to operate) help them move there assets anywhere without roads or terrain contraints. 40/50 such flights in a day will be capable of repositioning atleast 120 men for new attack/defense/deception. Pushing u to far more areas to take care of. Think of it as best tool for cold start doctrine of chinese.

Well critics aside, it actually look strategic and innovative because it can be mass produced at low cost such things can be redesigned according to rescue and medical purpose for lower and southern part of India during flood and disaster control missions.
They are not for higher Himalayas in North but for our thick forest covered north east, these will be pretty usefull there I think.
So we shouldn't just dismiss them like mosquitos
If they are used in war it would be a great time to practice for a classic arcade shooter game

Please technically assess the " lift" and payload capacity of gyrocopters in high altitude. Further assess the speed limitations. Then discuss " lethality" / vulnerability. Small tactical scout helicopters and not ( not) gyrocopters are capable in combat roles in high altitude.
It usefull for aid only, it can't be used in mountains, because of high altitude and also it can shoot down easily by small missiles like jawline...

Apart from jokes it can serve to evacuate injured soldiers, for close combat or instant deployment at harsh areas and don’t forget they have J-20, J10, J11, J16, J15, J35, FC31, Bombers, Attack helicopter like Z-10 etc

These r mainly for amusement purpose just like paragliders and hang-gliders . In war they will become sitting duck for enemy.
Will it work effectively in Himalayan/Tibetan areas
They will use at areas near Uttaranchal, Dhoklam, Chickens neck and Arunachal Pradesh......for immediate ground support and supplies. Later on add unmanned versions etc.
Using the aircraft to move 50Kg of supplies wouldn't be cost effective.
I think it is not much beneficial ..it can be easily shot down shoulder portable guided missile ..but on the other hand it can be use in special operations .

You can buy 1 and 2 seater gyrocopters in India off the shelf. HAL used to make them in 80s and 90s, now they are big players, so no more produced by HAL.

India should have such Gyro copters customized for patrolling indo pakistan border fence etc. and other inovative functions with hi-tech weapons on it . they can be used for archaeological surveys and other creative usage.
Have anybody noticed, placement of missiles? If that missile got fired then propulsion from engine will not only burn rear tire but also can damage soldier, wow what a masterpiece.

It work to install equipment(like monitoring camera,small radar or jammar for drone etc) quickly in high altitude in short time or capture high ground while india need to bring a big plane and brolly(Para suit) jumping its high cost. What was China faced last time. This will be setback to indian army.

Ak630 ack ACK gun easily shoot it. Igla mistral easily kill it and three sholdelrs. Heavy machine gun also kill it. Rocket propel grenade Karl gustof also and Israeli ante drone skyshield 2000 rifle India recently India acquired also useful.
Any system which can transport troops quickly is a good system. And based on PLA's non-contact doctrine, this will surely be used by scout units instead of direct attack ops.

Even if they manage to fully make it operational in relevant high alti areas, they still would be less useful than straight up using something ike TB2 for a single use mission. At least the people won't die due to the almost guaranteed downing of the aircraft by SAMs/towed AA guns or SPAAGs/helo AAMs, etc. They may give it to pak to conduct genocide against balochis tho.
