This question is on my heart and keeps on my mind. It is a medical and biblical question at the same time. Is it okay for Dr or nurse of the opposite sex see your body even though it's for medical reasons? My thoughts is no they should not. It is only for your spouse. And if there some reason for example pap for a woman. No guy Dr should do it. It should be a woman. If a guy being checked for medical issue it should be a guy Dr. They are human and could get excited and not show it even though it is medical. I believe biblical that medical in private areas only same sex should be checking u. I don't believe a man should be doing deliveries of babies. That's why back in the day midwifes did it. They were women. Am I wrong for thinking this biblically? If so can u explain why I am wrong?
I think these are two different things; apples-to-oranges comparison really. Reacher is meant for entertainment and the justifications that the actor is making are unbiblical because he could tell the producers he won’t do the scenes the way they are written. He could leave it up to viewers imaginations. I’ve heard other actors push back in similar ways. He is experiencing success and allowing that to taint his perspectives. That being said, your comments about doctors seeing naked people of the opposite sex is very different. Doctors performing surgery are part of a team and have no time for fantasizing about patients. Furthermore, patients are covered up. No one is lying naked on an operating table.
Yeah....I get notifications all the time for his channel but haven't really watched closely his thoughts...I got the impression from a few things I caught if his liberal stance of Christianity and while I watched Reacher, I myself didn't pay much attention when the "sexual " parts cause I felt weird and conflicted there. Entertainment still has me conflicted watching certain things...as a 80s baby I see it as Entertainment and try not looking that hard into the messages. I know the difference between biblical right and wrong, and make believe and reality when it comes to Entertainment, but do feel conflicted still. Still something I'm praying and working on.

I think you were asking the wrong question because in the quote he was talking about imperfect characters like jack reacher and the same with Dominic torreto from fast and furious movies that are in our stories that are also in our pop culture. I also think that we should have respectful conversation about a lot of stuff in a respectful way but sadly sometimes we don’t due to church culture

Alan Ritchison, sad to say, is one of those who have openly shown themselves to not be genuine believers as they do not live their lives as God wants them to live. If anything, we’re pointing all this out because we want him and his fans to see that he isn’t right with God and that he needs to repent. Please understand that we are doing this because God has commanded us to “speak the truth in love.” Yes we have our shortcomings, but apart from working on our own issues we must also be apt to address that of others. Remember that Jesus said we must not only take the stump out of our own eye first but we must also subsequently remove the stump of our brother’s eye. He literally teaches us to do both in that order. God bless you.
