When retired Military Police Officer Jack Reacher is arrested for a murder he did not commit, he finds himself in the middle of a deadly conspiracy full of dirty cops, shady businessmen, and scheming politicians. With nothing but his wits, he must figure out what is happening in Margrave, Georgia. The first season of Reacher is based on the international bestseller, The Killing Floor by Lee Child.

The director wanted a Reacher type, and he got the actual Reacher😂
Funny enough, they actually rejected him at first. The producers initially thought that he was too short (6'3", they were looking for someone 6'5").
Shame that the characters of Roscoe and Finley won't following Reacher down the road per the book series! Those three had a great connection and chemistry together!

@@RevealedFilms TBH I enjoy Reacher building relationships with new people. Reprising characters deprives him/me of that.
Roscoe and Finley started becoming real, 3D, and alive. We got to know them very well, and Willa was just a great female lead. She was strong, but vulnerable. Malcolm was like an onion, slowly revealing different layers, and he went from being the antagonist, to being a member of the team. Great acting. Unfortunately, we got to know them, and then we don't see them anymore.
This is how you produce an interview that doesn't feel dull and boring. Great cinematography.

I enjoyed the " booking " scene. Reacher became more compliant. I'm thinking that Roscoe reminded him of speaking with his mother.
Hope to see roscoe in new season , but since i Dont know the book cause outside of US , is it true roscoe character didnt have much story in the book other than this chapter ?

I watched him on Rooster Teeth's annual charity stream 'Extra Life' back in the day. It was a 24hr stream and the mood was kinda slow since they were going for a while and when Alan came on the stream, lifting the mood would be an understatement. He ate Mac n cheese off the carpet floor at one point shit was wild
Dude, if you haven't, watch the series blue mountain state. It's one of funniest things i've ever seen and it will make you really appreciate alans acting chops

Perfect! He has already played 2 comic book superheroes on screen as well. Aquaman in Smallville, and Hawk in Titans. He was great in both!

No one was going to recast him for S2. But the existence of an S2 depended on audience reception of S1. So it makes sense that he would be working hard to promote the show, as this is his biggest role to-date.
Watched all 8 episodes in one sitting. Literally that good. It was so good that my wife was checking if there was season 2 yet.
Everyone remembers Alan for Aquaman and Reacher but he’ll always be Young Scully to me 😂

I love how Ritchson is completely unlike the character he plays (so he actually has to, well, act), and yet, his natural charisma oozes into Reacher anyway.
Funny enough, he said in a recent interview that he sold his house and now he and his family actually live on the road, kids are all home-schooled, etc. So an example of life imitating art.
Willa Fitzgerald has an incredible bio...schooled at a very prestigious girl's only private prep school in Memphis, then Yale performing arts...she is classically trained and educated and a fine actor with delicate features and who just happens to be drop dead gorgeous. I wish she somehow gets reinserted into next season.

@@jokerfleckcast3196 Or Batman! Basically Reacher is Batman without the cape. Pattinson was ok but he is not intimidating like Batman should be, and has no "playboy" persona when he is walking about. Alan would be perfect for the role.

His interview on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum is great. He really opens up about himself as a person and doesn't hide his insecurities, struggles and beliefs.
Made me appreciate him as a person and not just an actor

I love that he talked about eating during scenes! That's a question that had been on my mind since the first time I watched the show. I couldn't tell if he was really eating the whole time, or just so good at acting that it was impossible to tell. Most actors don't eat on camera for real, because it's often messy, and you have to eat a lot if there are multiple takes.
Watching him actually eat pie while answering questions was a joy.

Yeah honestly, I thought it'd be more of a ''background noise'' type of series, not fully invested nor interesting enough for me...

Fucking hell 8 hours in one go
Didn't read the books, but the show is one of the best ones i ever watched, the pacing looks so real life to me and Alan is so good in looking intimidating without saying anything. The humor was so on point every time, those 3 are golden.
The fight scenes are superb, you can see that every blow is meant to end the fight.
Want more of that.
You HAVE to read the books! They are great reads. They are why, we the fans of the books, wanted a REAL Jack Reacher to play Reacher when we first learned that Tom Cruise was going to be playing him in the movie(s). Alan Ritchson is that guy. He epitomizes the real Jack Reacher in every way.

@@vajidalishah3595 YES! The first season was based on the first book "Killing Floor." The second season is based on the book "Bad Luck and Trouble." The first season pretty much follows the book in terms of action and authenticity. The second season, so far, does deviate somewhat from the book in that, IMO, it makes Reacher grittier and more violent.
One of the best interactive and engaging interviews with the lead cast members I've ever seen and also engages the audience with some trivia and questions. I have read every Reacher book and really appreciate the adaptation to film of the book. There are some details that are different but as explained, reading the book compared to adapting to film can't always be reproduced. Brilliant, and well done! I can't wait and hope that there are PLENTY of seasons to come!

I love Reacher! What a brilliant adaptation of Lee Child's first book; Killing Floor. Alan and the rest of the cast do an amazing job! And it looks like they had a lot of fun in the making too!
Please, please get Series 2 done soon...I cannot wait to see it. And...next year, you need to do at least 2 series'! We can't wait yet another year for number 3!

Incredible series, incredible casting! Casting a Jack Reacher who is just as entertaining and fun to watch off screen is impressive enough, all this while Alan is usually using his personal time and following online to talk about mental illness awareness and different ways people facing similar problems may go about understanding issues, seeking out professional help, ways of learning how to adapt, or just different ways of thinking and meditation... Now that's what's I call an "Influencer" 👍 Looking forward to season 2! After I re-watch season 1 of course, since likely Willa and Malcom won't be back for the next one 😪 but atleast they both had terrific performances in this first season, which from now on will always be THE standard for comparison 😉👍

This series is the most "True to the book" project that I have ever experienced. I loved every second. I think I have seen the whole show 5+ times.

I've watched this season twice already.
So freaking amazing this cast is so good. The fact that Alan is reading the books and they are trying to keep it to the source material is wonderful. It help that he matches the description of Reacher pretty closely. "A fridge with hands"

I have read every Reacher book Lee Childs has written. Some I have read twice. I know the character extremely well. Alan Ritchson is the best human personification of Reacher currently on screen.

Love, love the Reacher series the way it was done. I was really worried that it was going to be done right but WOW! I so want a second book to be done. My son and I sat around one day trying to figure out who in Hollywood could play a good Jack Reacher and came up with no one but casting picked the perfect guy! Exactly how I pictured Reacher. I'm watching it again!!!

They got it absolutely right. The casting was spot on. When i think of Reacher i see Alan. They also got young Reacher and Joe spot on. I really hope in season 2 they return .
