Knower (USA)
Louis and Genevieve arbeiten unablässig an Videos für jeden ihrer Songs.
Genevieve Artadi (vocals)
Louis Cole (drums)
Dennis Hamm (keyboards)
Sam Gendel (sax)
Sam Wilkes (bass)
Sam Wilkes is standing up! 🤘
haha it's the only time I've ever seen him standing!!
It’s hard for him to stand sometimes with all that groove 3:54
Someone get him a chair, it don't look natural.
Whenever I hear people say "There's no good music these days," I always think "you're not trying hard enough."
Amen! For me, I think this is fundamentally what's life is all about, all packed up really really realllllly tight before the next big bang.
I think what people mean is that there won’t be any music that is remembered in 50 years, as the Beatles are now. And despite how good some bands are today, that statement is still true.
If it wasn't for The UA-cam algorithm, I'd never find it
Super dope; Knower and Louis and Cole are making the best music in the world right now
I thought millennial hipsters where supposed to suck.
Turns out a bunch of them just saved music. And possibly the world in the process.
Thank you Knower. THANK YOU !!!
😑
Yes. This.
Don't insult these people by calling them hipsters. They are way too talented to be hipsters.
They are not millennials...
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody at all:
Random boomer: "I thought millennial hipsters where supposed to suck"
..okay?? wtf? lol
Gendel's sax playing in the pre-chorus always amazes me - so delicate and so much control.
The bass player is freakishly good.
Sam Wilkes. Fukin beast
Awesome. A little strange with everyone sitting down to this music it seems.
Swiss German crowd
what do you expect, moshing?
Any level of excitement.
Swiss German is the language ... Swiss people are just Swiss.
@peter g sorry, mistaken about what? The German spoken in Switzerland is not commonly known as Swiss German? The people who live where this language is spoken ARE called Swiss German? People who live in Switzerland are not Swiss people?
It’s insane how good each person is. They’re all at the top of their game.
props to the saxophone player Sam Gendel in this one.
Audience, fully seated, gives polite round of applause in appreciation.
They're swiss.
One of the finest produced videos from the KNOWER tour so far!! Could have had a little more BASS in the mix, however :)
Nicola Berardi cool! I'll check it out!
Nicola Berardi it was great!! Thanks Nic!!
Stewart G. check-out the Overtime for from the blue whale in LA!!!!
ive consistently wished their stuff was mixed with more bass to glue it together. amazing music
This song especially. The distortion part doesn’t slap without the bass well enough in the mix.
A new kind of fusion. The best thing I've heard since Weather Report and Chic Corea !
Yeah I was thinking the same thing! Fusion of the future.
Ok with that. Think I've been waiting for years for this music...
Yes, this is no funk, it's fusion, report like
Check out Edit Bunker. I saw them open for Knower earlier this week. Can't believe my good luck to see them together in a small club.
@@bekagigauri1799 maybe but the energy definitely is more funk oriented. it's like a combination of fusion and funk
if only this had been mixed better, wanna hear Sam.........
Both sams
It's really like that. It's like all the live performances they post are intentionally crap so you won't go see them live. #conspiracytheory
you guys are truly ground breaking, what beautiful music you make,
Mind blown! How am I just recently getting into this? Oh wait. It all started with Clowncore and...
This is the way funk Jazz should be played!
I LOVE this, wish this the bass was a tad louder, especially during those chord strumming parts!
Fabulous, reminds me of how they sounded in London, thanks for posting.
Дуже добре,що така музика існує,і постійно видозмінюється!Маємо можливість не ржавіти розумово...😉
Genavieve is so hot
I would love to see knower live in Minnesota!
Back again, spectacularly good
Frack. time traveler 6 years old... Relativity time ???? Lsitening to it again. better and better ;)
Es war unglaublich, vielen Dank! Mein Favourite war Overtime :)
Weird seeing Louis rockin out on the LEFT😂Great job guys! Big fan
the more I watch your vids the more I adore your genius!
The piano player performs with thundercat also???
Roger Dutra I figurek itd the same guy right away
and bassist with scary pockets
Yes, that's Dennis Hamm.
For real???
Yes also with Larry Carlton at some point too!
This song is generally awesome. But omg that bass run and chord change at 1:36 is a beautiful change that happens when talented people screw with songs for a long while.
Thanks for pointing it out. The mix is murky in the fast sections. I love the chords in this piece, but can't hear all the notes in this mix.
This is blowing my mind. So inspired.
Greatest lineup with knower, so damn good
Did they end this with an instrumental of Louis' song "night?" sounded beautiful
Yeah
Grab a C-collar. Because this song is break-neck pace and completely worth it.
Not the best audio mix for these guys, but other than that, they're killing it.
It's still one of the better live mixes other than LS
you work with what you got at some venues
excelent video man!!!
Argh! Missed it!
1:36 bass riff w/keys is siiiiicck.
Sam's Base Face is really the best
i opened for thundercat in 2016 in Montreal and met Dennis.. i doubt he remembers me but i feel special
This song is so much better with saxophone!
lovely
Amazing, like every Knower performance. However, Rai Thistlethwayte and his unique harmonies are definitely missing... Live versions with Rai are even better than studio recordings.
Congratulations!
freaking dope
Is Dennis Hamm just everywhere? I saw him with Thundercat in a different video today.
this band got double Sams!!!
She's got the moves like Jagger!!
so good
KNOWER RULES
does that guy play keys for Thundercat too?
Andrew Solway yep
shies amazing ;)
Woah.
The only thing more impressive than this performance is the fact that the audience aren't even tapping their feet! How is that even possible?! Are they playing at a funeral?
it's because they are people from switzerland which is not so different to germany and the germans...well...can be some kind of stick in the ass. btw i am german
I am swiss and I would definately not be sitting down...but I guess this is more like a "art event" in a living room than a concert...
The music is overwhelming in the smaller venue, with tempo changes so it's not for everyone to "sing along" - except when you are in Budapest 😆 na Grüzi 🤭
BRAVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Daaaaamn Gen...
What's the venue/location?? Just awesome.
www.murikultur.ch/musik/musig-im-pflegidach/
Ah Swiss! Cheers
This would be pretty sweet with a Leo P collab
Their music works better in a smaller indoor venue than a larger outdoor venue, imo
it's that jazz thing
have you seen them in a large outdoor venue ?
knower mic'd and mixed properly on a proper pa would absolutely destroy a large stadium venue. burn it straight down.
is this what happened to the chick from Life Without Buildings?
Lol
Sam Wilkes must be getting old these days, He's always sitting down.....ha ha ha Love Knower
The audio mix is dissapointing: can barely hear the sax, Genevieve's voice sounds like she's singing from down the corridor.
But the energy displayed by the musicians is REAL ! Would have loved to dance in front of the scene
Somehow I feel that these guys don't mind this mix. at all.
gotta turn that damn bass up fr
what's his name?
What kind of chords on synth on the intro plz ?
where is muri?
in switzerland - 1/2 hour out of zürich. www.murikultur.ch/musik/musig-im-pflegidach/
;-)
I bet Sam likes Coltrane
I would drink her bath water.
Tyler Beasley how topical
Nothing bad on him but I'd just like to make a caricature of Sam Wilkes. That guy can play his butt off but wow.
Having chairs on a Knower concert, something you'd rather see it in Switzerland... 🤦♂️
Crazy ill shit 🤣
Weird crowd..
Swiss gonna Swiss.
Why tf do people sit down for music like this
חרא סאונד
אחלה להקה
יום טוב
미뗬다
nobody's even tapping their foot. fucking shame
Please give the bass player some pills. He's having seizures
