To me, from a has-been wannabe coaching perspective, in a few sports, it's when the coaches get their act together. but we fans quibble like children like it does mean something! Like Johnson not being on the roster doesn't mean anything to me - yet. I don't think we're going to win against Florida, maybe put swayman in there so Joonas doesn't have to take that hit lol! So I'm just saying nothing! Because I know nothing! And franchisees are not giving away their strategy at the beginning of the season. I don't believe they want the rest to the NHL to see their full roster quite yet. I still think Montreal Canadians made it to Stanley Cup finals because they did not assemble their playoff team till about 10 days before playoffs began, covid protocol held up players coming in and coming up. They didn't even know who they had... And the rest of the league didn't know how to coach against them quite yet. I think coaches and franchises learned from that playoffs... Keep your team under wraps until Christmas morning! ✌️
Tyler Johnson was likely a Swayman casualty... just couldn't afford him anymore. It's a shame, he could have been a Mark Recchi figure and is actually still a great playmaker, hands and speed. Bruins are kind of big and slow as constructed on the lineup sheet.
Koepke was really strong on forechecks and hunting the puck on the walls. And made simple smart plays when the puck was on his stick. I was really impressed since I hadn't known anything about the guy before camp
Zadorov on the 3rd pairing seems a bit of an overpay. That said our defensive corps is an embarrassment of riches and I am sure it was not an easy decision. The numbers I have seen the Bruins no longer have the cap space to sign Johnson unless they send a couple of guys down. Me I would, rather have Johnson than Regula and Joneson the roster. Is this another Heinen situation of wait until later to sign him? Lord knows he could probably get signed by Colombus with their recent Jenner going down and sounding like it will be long term.
Personally, I wasn’t impressed with Johnson. It’s going to take awhile for these lines to get comfortable. 6 exhibition games aren’t going to cut it. Especially, when all the players don’t play every game. I’m sure just like Montgomery did last year, there will be times he changes lines on the fly just to see what is working and what’s not.

Swayman did start. Started the downfall of this team's chemistry and now he's gonna own it. If he messes his diaper like I believe in his first start then every bs fan can boo him relentlessly for 8 years. Then his agent can take his cut of his ridiculous contract and cover the psychologists fees so he doest spend time sitting on his millions and crying. They traded the wrong goalie. Yes, it's negative but I've seen and followed this team for 55 years and the Boston magic left the building when swayman started down this road. They've been through tough stretches many times ( bloody montreal Canadiens) but I get the feeling this kid is gonna hurt boston for many years. Hey, at least he'll have a nice cabin to hang out at for rest of his life and he can always change his name....hannu toivannen ?
How idiotic is that. Shows desperate coaching before season even starts. He's not ready so if they do and he pulls his groin then spends 4 months sitting on his ass shopping this team is doomed. Nothing about this makes sense. Feels like a long ugly season in front of us bs fans. Maybe start hampus lindholm in net so nobody pushes him around like a weakling. He might go for that. Team has limited potential in scoring goals. Defense has to be solid and so does goaltending but this idea is bordering on sheer stupidity.
If the bruins FO fold and start him I’ll be very surprised. I 100% believe they will curse themselves and sway to an awful season just on bad juju alone if this happens
If Monty said Korpisalo was starting, then Swayman needs to be on the bench. That's how it goes. I will be very upset to see Swayman in net after all this shit he pulled. Everyone wants to forget about all of it. Poitras is not going to work out. He's too fragile for the NHL. This is very sad.

Well I wouldn't say it still won't happen. They can move players to make room or wait like they did with Heinen last year
