i’ll forever be known as the “Additional guitar by” guy
Love you’re stuff man ☝️
rafa are you the one who wrote the last part after the tempo shift?
Your part on this is my favorite portion of the album.
Love your part man so glad I did some digging and found that it was you that wrote the last part
If you're the one with the tempo shift part, that's the reason I first fell in love with the song, you really made it stand out
This is the song which shows the typical Polyphia style that never gets old but always sounds new
Pretty sure that's each polyphia song but
@@maillardsbearcat eh not really
I mean they added thumping into this too, no?
reminds me of their sound in The Most Hated EP
Eventually everything gets old.
Except for me, I'm eternally immortal...because I forgot that I will die.
Scott’s super melodic leads with Tim’s fast runs are touching my soul in a way I didn’t know I needed
That's the formula to any prog song
A real gift to us for sure!
💀🤘🏻🤫🎃
Scott has some crazy fast runs in ego death and neurotica (as far as ones that really stood out to me). I'm so glad this album let Scott take the spotlight so much, it turned out incredible.
kid named my soul in a way I didn’t know I needed
How is no one talking about how the drums at 2:08 are incredibly genius? Clay literally manipulates the feel of the song in 4 different ways in 12 seconds AHHHHHHH I’m so in awe
Bro I completely agree i couldn’t believe I replayed it 5 times just to make sure I wasn’t tripping
One of the highlights of the album for me, so interesting and funky
Clay is such an interesting drummer! Fucking maniac genius. Some of the best dynamics
Almost like the drums were singing with the guitar. 🔥
Yall should lookup matt garstkas trinity loop or cognitive contortions playthrough, very VERY fast changing feel
The break at 3:12 is the proof that polyphia can make different melodies and stick'em together as natural as ever
I think the ending was written by Rafa Rodriguez
Yes Rafa Rodriguez the best
This must be what people felt seeing legends like EVH , Jimmy Page and Clapton for the first time. So incredibly creative!
Bro I was literally thinking this last night watching their live. Like thinking what it would be like to have a live stream with hendrix or something. It's literally the coolest shit ever.
srv even
Am I treastead in what they can do in the future but yes I agree
@@hectorg362 took me literally 15 minutes to realize you're trying to say 'interested'
No... Stop comparing them to legends that literally shaped music today. Polyphia isn't really influencing the next generation of artists. It inspires a lot of shitty guitarists with horrible work ethic. It's good don't get me wrong, but it doesn't compare to music written by old men that are the reason todays music is the way it is. Polyphia was inspired by them, not the other way around. The copy will never be better than the original.
favorite song on the album absolute banger
Same, that outro is nasty work
Yeah this track is bonkers. Makes my favorite for sure.
My favourite that wasn’t released as a single. Playing god is still the best imo. This is tied with ego death.
@@fenncarr3774 bloodbath over anything else
Big ups to CLAY ON BASS! Fantastic work on this track brother, love you man!!!
Clay is SHININ on this whole album
The bass slaps so hard on this one, dear god
@@teddy2glocks85 I agree but this one is a major highlight for posterity
I guess you can say that he “1up”ed himself right?
❤
The hook on this track melts me
Cant wait for ur 8bit version ❤
Please do this one first!
True, it melts!
For real, this one is INSANE
That tempo and key change near the end of the song was mind shattering. Amazingly composed
My favorite part of the song, caught me so off guard
act like you've heard prog before :P
its very common in the hip hop & rnb nowadays, deff some henson inspiration
@@BlueToxiiC yeah i see it hella in like hyper pop and stuff and was wondering how it would mesh with this kind of style like a few months back and we get this lmao
Hmmm. It was interesting, but first impression is wondering if they did it to revert back to a demo version where they nailed the solos better... I'll give it a few more listens!
This song is true definition of Polyphia!
Tim's Super catchy hooks, Scott's juicy solos, Clay's Amazing Bass solos , and Clay 's Articulate and Thic accent drum parts
Tim and Scott are the only real band members, the two clays are actually golems hence their names "clay" because Tim and Scott are master alchemists.
@@hector665 They're Full Metal Alchemists
where d old drummer at?
Oh yeah, now that you mention that, it's true. That is the dynamic between Tim and Scott's guitar parts, never fully noticed that.
@@jeielarabis8917 idk, probably rolling on the floor crying somewhere because he left this band
this sounds like old polyphia and I love it
Oldylphia 2.0 love this
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN MAN
This is a remixed/re-imagined version of part of their older song "Ivory" listen to the last minute of Ivory and then relisten to this song. Also, props to dropping the Loon call effect very similar (if not exactly the same) as from GOAT. These guys are meta-level.
@@jessepeterson3801 it’s a producer tag but yea
@@jessepeterson3801 Y2K's producer tag is a loon call
I discovered polyphia a few weeks ago, definitely I struck gold :)
Definitely came at the right time
You’re so lucky to discover them now
Amazing for you, enjoy the journey!
welcome to the club!
lucky man we've been waiting for a year for this
The song keeps getting better and better the more you listen to it
THATS LIKE EVERY SONG LOL
@@thewoodchipperrnot rlly
@@thewoodchipperrunless you mean every polyphia song yes
This one's on repeat for me.
Fr
same i'm in a loop
Dude this song has so many little references to their other songs, Neurotica, ABC, GOAT, Look but Don't Touch, and more I haven't spotted lol. It's chalked full of themes and motifs, it's actually so awesome. Can't wait to listen to only Polyphia for the next year lol
So its repetitive ?
@@MsSuperBMX
I don’t think it’s repetitive, I think they are able to build really well off of their own style, where it sounds new but is theoretically similar to older songs
Icronic is baked in the hook, I can feel it!
@@kb3k what up legend!
Yeah I noticed the references too! Thought I was going mad
At this point Polyphia is just its own genre. Amazing!
Final form
@@pitpride1220 this isn't even their final form!
@@braindial Fair!
Literally just discussed this with my parents like an hour ago. Lol My dad was trying to give them a genre and we were all like 🤷♀️. Hah
Straight facts
I love Rafa's contribution to this track
A man of culture…Rafael Rodriguez is really amazing.
the secret mvp of this band is the high hat sound
Underrated comment is underrated
Stewart Copeland levels of hi-hat trickery.
Fuck yes could listen to it all day
Pop-prog-jazz-fusion. Love this band
Watching you guys grow musically has been an honor. With this album I don't think I'm going to have to defend my appreciation anymore. Anyone that doesn't give it up at this point is just lost. Congratulations fellas! Sick!
Lol so true. How can anyone deny the banger-osity of their music??
@@ppackers0430 i like that. Banger-osity😁

@@digital_urn9250 ohhh... You're schizophrenic, my bad carry on.
The Bass on this track is just outstanding! What a tone.
The ending to this song caught me so off guard but the raw emotions and joy I felt while listening to it for the first time is something I haven't experienced while listening to a song in years. That ending hit me so hard and I love it. Absolute perfection from the boys
Same, I was cruising through the album and when that part hit, I genuinely couldn't stop smiling
that part was originally written by Rafa.
That tight, almost choked-out sounding guitar tone on those high phrases are incredible. 👌
Seriously it almost sounds like a Pokemon call or something lol
Bro I love your genesis cover😭
@@kristonahak9023 Thank you! That means a lot to me
I legit havent BOUGHT a CD in over 20 years. I bought one from their website. Banger after banger. Thanks guys!!!!
Shit man, I just went ham and got the vinyl. SO worth it.
You guy have risen above the rest with this album. You are not simply flexing here.... this is whole album is something else. Come to Brazil!
Brazil huh
Yes! I live in the US but I know for a fact there are thousands of people in Brazil who would love to hear you!
Looking forward to that bass playthrough. They really let Clay G shine on this song.
This genre that Polyphia somehow made is so good. Excellent work
Rafa Rodriguez killed the ending solo 🔥🔥🔥
Is it me, or is the main riff inspired from this small bit from Ivory as well? For reference, starting 2:13 in Ivory. This song is giving hella renaissance vibes, and i love it!
Yesss, this sounds like it belongs in Renaissance. Which is why I love it so much!
@leonardodavinci4259 Agreed, I just discovered Polyphia from their new viral stuff, but I just got done going through albums and by far Renaissance is my favorite. It reminds me a lot of my favorite other band Tauk. Lights is so good from Polyphia
@@karnliberated Goat is what made me discover Polyphia, Drown is what made me interested in them & Renaissance is what turned me a fan :D
Classic Polyphia rifts on this one. Absolute banger.
3:10 my favorite part of the whole album. Never stank faced that hard before
Yep, comes out of nowhere and hits you like a truck!
And the weirdest part of it is it isn't even written by a Polyphia member lol
i stank faced for 100 percent of "all falls apart"
If we're talking about stank faces, I've been in a permanent state since 'The Most Hated' release.
Check out Rafa Rodriguez, they are the artist that wrote that FUNKY piece
This song is so intricate, beautiful, and infectious. From the melody to the visuals, it's incredible. I'm so thankful I'm able to see the rise of a phenomenal band during my youth.
The bass in this one is absolute killer 🔥
Thank you Polyphia for giving us such awesome songs 🙏
the riff at 1:40 is so sick
3:12 hit me wit dat LoFi Scott groove! FUCK this album is insane...
Been waiting for his spotlight, thought we got it with Ego Death. Didn't think we'd get practically a whole album of him dusting shit.
It was made by Rafa Rodriguez
@@ignad2537 yea found that out like the day after when I learnt it. Still has that Scottie vibe tho. Slides & flutters for days
This is extrem joy, bass slaying and those leads man, the world doesn't diserve the ending transition 🥵
This has become my favorite polyphia song now
3:12 That slow down smash my brain hard af🔥
This whole album is a blessing to the ears
3:12 the best part of the whole album.
album goes hard as fuck
That outro tho 🔥
This song right there is all what I needed to hear from Polyphia, dreamy as the name implies
Felt like a mix between Icronic and Drown
Loving the throwbacks to previous songs. It's a milestone song that highlights Polyphia's roots.
This one is my favorite among the Album 4. Such a banger
ikrrrrr
The songs I like the most that they released are the ones that don’t have vocals on it. Their music doesn’t need words. They speak volumes with just the instruments
Reverie is everything I've ever wanted in a Polyphia song. Full eight-bar bass solo, catchy hook, metric timing, tempo modulation, key change, and Polyphia slow jamz. It's perfect.
3:13 is some of the best baby-making music I have ever heard - straight out of mid-90's R&B
RAFA! i thought that sounded like him but im so happy it actually is.
I like that the more you listen, the more you understand song and the better it sounds
3:12 não sei nem como mensurar essa transição SURREAL!!!! 🙏🏾
Been here since the inspire days and man, I’m so proud of you guys. Literally watched y’all create and experiment until you made your own genre
The funny thing is when I initially listened to the end part I instantly got Prince vibes. Being a crazy Prince head, I lost my shxt!! Now knowing that section was played by Rafa Rodriguez it makes sense as he's got a lot of funk and r&b leanings. That mixed with the Polyphia vibe is fire. An absolute banger.
I have never heard a transition in any song as awesome as the one around 3:10. It sounds so fucking cool I literally thought it had transitioned to a new song when I first listened to it
The beginning takes me back to Renaissance. The main riff sounds.. bittersweet
The slides, and pauses/hesitations are really defining your guys style. I like it
3:11 takin me to another place
Giving full props to Rafa Rodriguez for that succulent outro solo.
Personally this will be the sexiest Polyphia tone/riff combo and the ending is my all-time favorite ending of a polyphia song. Most pure polyphia song on the new album imo.
the production on this album is flawless
Took me 11 months to realize this was my favorite track on the album lol. All my favorite songs from other artists are like that too, some I came back to 3+ years after hearing the first time and realizing just how GOOD they are
The beat switch and key change on this song murder my soul every time in the best way possible
one of my favorites so far
Sweet aftertaste
This bass solo is insane !
This. This is what makes Polyphia Polyphia
this is straight out gold.
That transition was epic! Blew my doors in!
Lol when i first heard it i screamed bro HAHA
seeing all these at the album listening party was crazy, thank y’all so much for doing that
3:36 this lick is so tasty Gordon Ramsey would serve it at his restaurant
I’m so glad I was here on its release, it sounds amazing. I was so pumped for album 4 let’s goooooo
The more I listen to Polyphia, The more I listen to Polyphia
0:09 GOAT sample
It is Y2K's producer tag, something like a motif which he will try to put in every song he produces so that the listeners know that he has produced the song.
@@prasadsatpute1294 that's so sick, i'll definitely be on the lookout for more of that sample in future polyphia tracks
Who ever runs does the visuals here...recently played thru Resident Evil 2 and you can't tell me otherwise.
I think that more people should talk about the change in beats at 1:04. Simply beautiful
This song reminds me of The Most Hated, it sounds like it could slide right into that album. I love it.
Congratulations on RTYWD making it to the top ten in a day
Clay Gober is going crazy on this album ngl
the rythm changes fit so perfect
Man it's just crazy that album 4 is out, by the time I figured out this band exists Tim had already released that album 4 teaser forever ago, and it's finally here, and it all slaps.
This is what you get when you take the best elements of Saucy and Euphoria and put them into one song.
the tone of the first 10 seconds is wonderful
Omg the BASSSS!! It’s insane
My favorite from the second stage from the album. Has a Renaissance vibe
Literally smiled when that transition hit on the first listen. Damn.
One of the best Polyphia song.
3:10bro this is so beautiful to listen to
man i need to see you guys in concert. come to california, i never go to concerts, but i would go to one of yours! this is mind nummingly awesome, already saved on my spoitfy, im determined to end my speakers life on this album
the switch up at the end tho🥵🥵
i always notice that there are some sounds that they reuse in their songs, but as soon as the beat drops, everything changes and these guys blow my mind over and over again
i think i like this more than the rest of the songs on the album. this has that catchy melodic beat that gets you wanting to just chill and smoke a j.
god dammit its so good that ending
This album is the best
Anyone else’s favorite song on the album?
That hook melody is just…muah. Perfect.
It really is incredible. Love to hear players that have dedicated their life to the instrument.
no one touch this visualizer? an visualizator so amazing
3:11
That one is definetly my favourite
