  • The 2018 DS7 Crossback is a game changer for PSA, it's not only a superb SUV but it's basically an art gallery on wheels. With superb styling, the DS7 fits in everywhere, the crossback element gives you extra ground clearance whilst retaining a premium look. With DS being a new brand, considering it used to be Citroen.. is DS now entirely away from that brand? Find out just how the DS7 managed the Music Motors test..

    Is this a beautiful SUV? Or is it just another wannabe crossover vehicle? Let me know your thoughts..

      I think it's gorgeous. The moment I saw it I wanted one. It's nice to see an alternative to the German brands Audi, VW and Mercedes. I am going to buy one.

    I own the petrol DS7 after having the diesel version. Beautiful car but the petrol is far better. Citroen definitely have problems with the adblue, I myself had to have a new tank and various sensors fitted. Much more power underfoot with the petrol.
    I absolutely love the gorgeous interior and friends remark about how luxurious it is. My previous car was a Mercedes E350 and the DS7 is by far my favourite of the two.

    Thorough review Tom, good stuff. It's a fantastic looking car, but I don't think the Cumulus Grey showcases it as well as other shades.

      It was a more.. low key colour.. for sure. Would have looked even more sleeper with lots of extra black trim.

    Hi Tom, an excellent, informative and honest review. Looking to get the 180bhp 1.6 petrol (auto) Performance Line trim in Perla Nera Black. Comfort is a must for me, did your test car come with Active Scan Suspension or was it standard suspension? Thinking of adding it on mines. Does it actually work on our roads? Is it worth adding on or is it more of an expensive option that is best avoided? Looking add premium safety pack, along with 20" Tokyo style wheels.

    41.4mpg UK (34.5mpg US / 6.8L/100km / 14.7km/L) is actually pretty good for a 225hp petrol powered car this size I believe.
    PS: you can't directly compare diesel and petrol torque.

    • @TheAutoDad
      @TheAutoDad  5 років тому

      Agreed, decent MPG for sure. I'll always compare torque when it's a bigger car, because torque is such a major factor - that's why an SQ8 is a V8 diesel instead of a petrol, it weighs soooooooo much.

    Wow. Seriously good looking car, shame about the fuel economy really isn't it,

    • @TheAutoDad
      @TheAutoDad  5 років тому

      It’s not horrific, you expect it really - it’s underpowered. Some tweaks would fix all the issues.

      @@TheAutoDad Underpowered for what? most SUV´s arent close to 225 HP. You are exaggerating. I drive a 160 hp CX5, is it fast? No, does it do everything? Yes.

    top of the range 3008 and 5008 are just as nice and no where near as expensive so my money would go on the Peugeot all day long !!

      +Jeff Christie it’s nice to have an alternative car to choose though - the DS definitely has the edge on the interior quality though. :)

      @@TheAutoDad agree to differ i think the 3008 / 5008 is nicer in the cabin .

      Drove both of cars 5008 and ds7 and quality of interior miles better in ds7.pure soft touch materials all around.very nice looking infotainment system.ds way more comfortable and quiet inside.ds7 all the way even for more money.and if you would ask I hot audi 5q which I'm looking forward to swap for that ds7.im stopping paying only for the badge

      Having driven both the 3008 and uglier 5008, I have to say the DS7 is definitely a better car. I have owned various Peugeot cars and will again, but in this instance , in my opinion only, the DS7 is head ad shoulders better overall Jeff.

    • @TheAutoDad

      Yeah, still part of the main brand but a separate entity for all major purposes.
