    The DS 7 Crossback is an SUV with a bit of luxury and performance thrown in for good measure.
    This model is the 180bhp diesel powered version which is probably where the majority of sales will come from.

    Excellent review, very informative, balanced and honest. It helped me decide to move from an Audi A4 to a DS 7 - proves that it is not only German cars that are considered prestige.

    Really like this car. I am curious to see what they do in the coming years in terms of refinement in relation to the amount of kit you can get. The price tag is definitely a big stumbling block. Nonetheless it is something different. I was definitely tempted after seeing it in your first look at the car. The boy racer in me wanted one but the daddy in me felt the CRV was a better family option.

    I'm rather surprised this model was so low specced, I drove and ordered one today and that one had electric seats with massage and fans, nicer trim, electric boot with foot sensor, electric rear seats and rear AC controls, Nightvision, a bazillion speakers and a form of offline self driving. I didn't pay an awful lot more and I live in an expensive country.

      Our VRT tax rates are crazy here. It prohibits a lot of extras as they just push prices beyond madness!

    Makes good sense as a Lease car but I wouldn't spend 50K on one

    Another touch that it's lacking as a 50k car, the seatbelts shouldn't get caught when folding the seats. The Golf has a little curve to hold the rear seatbelts in place for folding the seats. It's little things like that that make life a bit easier. Interior of the DS7 is lovely though.

    Great review. Too much missing from the spec though. DS need to be throwing in everything to make any sales at that price.

    Lovely looking Car but no electric tailgate, no reversing camera, for 50, 000 euros it's not good enough
    I have a Hyundai Tucson premium se costing 30, 000 brand New it's got a panoramic sunroof, Reversing
    camera, electric tailgate, electric everything heated and cool seats front and rear, heated steering wheel
    keyless entry, blind spot monitoring, Lane departure warning System, it comes with 5 years unlimited
    milage warranty, I would not pay that kind of money for a Car today without those essentials.

    If you are in 50k category, then maybe Ateca Cupra would be better option. Not as elegant, but definitely better spec and 300hp! Great review as always.

    The video doesnt do it justice in terms of its size, I have to say it looks a lot smaller than I was expecting. I have a CR-V and the boot is bigger and looks like it has more space in the 2nd row

    • @NobbyOnCars
      @NobbyOnCars  5 років тому

      What year is the CR-V? It's a reasonably big enough car but it doesn't feel Q7 physically big either or anything like it.

      @@NobbyOnCarsMines a 2015 CR-V. It was just my impression on the boot looking in, the CR-V boot is huge but the DS7 didnt come across that way in the video. Maybe you need to put in a few suitcases like other reviews :-)

    • @NobbyOnCars
      @NobbyOnCars  5 років тому +1

      Yeah the suitcases can be good. Reason I asked about the year was the current CR-V has a good bit of legroom in the back and a very generous boot so was wondering which version you have.

    It comes back as a Citroen on motorcheck. I think if I owned one I'd get tired of the "but sure its only a Citroen" comments etc. And aside from the Q7/X5 there aren't really any luxury or prestige SUVs. In my opinion if they wanted to create a premium or luxury motorcar it needed to be an old fashioned saloon from the very outset. Disappointing

    • @lanigaca
      @lanigaca 5 років тому +1

      3:24, that boot shutting sounds pathetically brittle too! Good to see an Irish review and example all the same by the way

    • @dufonrafal
      @dufonrafal 5 років тому +2

      @@lanigaca weird, I didn't notice that when I test drove it (twice, petrol and diesel). It was for my mom I'm not a fan of SUV, but if you're looking for a Premium mid-size SUV, for me it's the best choice. Extremely comfortable, feels like a real premium car when you drive it, and a good price compared to Audi/BMW/Mercedes.
      I don't really get the "it need to be firm and corner flat" because no one gonna drive this car really fast. It can go fast around a corner though, faster than a lot of competitor actually; That's what I like about PSA, they care more about actual perfromance than the car "feeling sporty". Ultimately that's safer.
      I did prefer the petrol over the diesel if you're wondering. Quieter, smoother and the exhaust are real xd
