    Wonderful treat to see & hear from the amazing G&G team! I love the format of having "focus segments" from each team member- nice touch! I also really liked the opening tour of the shop, gives one a sense of being there (I wish..)

    It's really lovely to see the beautiful faces of the G&G team, they've been signing all my orders for years. Loved the tour of the shop, I've spotted dozens of lovely fabrics for my wish list - hopefully I'll manage down from Scotland for an in-store visit soon. Beautiful xx

    I loved the tour of the shop and the “eye candy” fabrics you have all around. I especially like the Petal Silhouette that Hannaha showed.
    I also like the Double Gauze that Becca showed along with her small rotary cutter- I think I now need a small rotary cutter in my life.😊

    Fabulous video! Thanks G&G team. I'm trying to keep all my clothes to a colour palate based on a colour analysis. Would it be possible to show a selection of top and bottom weight fabrics together that complement each other. Thanks

    Great video. Fantastic to see the shop and what a wonderful team. Thank you. Also - to prevent fraying try spray starching fabric edges. Works every time for me. 😊 Lynne

    So lovely putting faces to all the sweet notes I've gotten with my orders and emails. Becca, I'm team rotary cutter all the way! I even use one (not my fabric cutting one) when cutting my patterns. I'd love to see behind the scenes as you fill an order, from receipt of an online order through to shipping it off. And do you do anything differently for the UK deliveries vs international ones, like mine for the US?

    Lovely video and thanks to the G a& G team.
    I’m team rotary cutter but thanks for reminding me about the small one. I have one ,,,just don’t use it. Oops.
    I really like green too
    Can you show us some stretchy jerseys please for tee shirts . Just made a Frankie tee but from fabric with not enough stretch and the sleeves are not comfortable. Now need to make a success of another. Plains or stripes preferred.
    See you next week hopefully

    Thank you G&G team, lovely meeting you and seeing the shop!
    I recently made a basic short-sleeved woven shirt in viscose and the sleeve cuffs were cut on the bias. Despite my best efforts, the cuffs stretched so much that my 1cm seam allowance became 4cm! I was still able to use them but I'm wondering what's the best course of action for a bias-cut piece that stretches? Is salvaging it ok or should you start afresh?
    Thanks!

      @janeybwells2810 3 місяці тому

      Apply stretch interfacing as soon as you cut them out. It will give enough movement but stabilise the fabric. Personally I always cut cuffs on the straight grain so they dont stretch but I have slim arms and wrists and small hands so it works for me.

    • @Lily.Mac56
      @Lily.Mac56 3 місяці тому

      @janeybwells2810 thanks, good tip - the pattern didn't call for sleeve interfacing so it didn't even cross my mind! Might try on the grain next time too!

    I am planning to make an Amelia Bomber jacket for my granddaughter once I have finished the Sewing society one for myself. Can you recommend other fabrics for this?
