    Muhammad Ali was a great man. Not because of his artistry in the ring, but because he stood up for what he believed in. Even if it cost him his championship. Ali, you're gone, but you're DEFINITELY not forgotten. R.I.P.

    When he was in Kuala Lumpur for his fight with Britain's Joe Bugner in 1975 Ali as usual was his talkative self but then that was Ali for the people of Malaysia who watched him trained for his fight with Bugner.But there is a soft side of Ali.He was very gentle towards children.

    Mohammed Ali isn’t the greatest sportsman of the century absolutely not, he’s the greatest sportsman of all time. He didn’t just box, he represented many black men and women from many different countries.
    He changes history through his struggles and he changed minds and attitudes. He’s a legend a hero a role model and his name will live on, despite his death.

    • @MAZ732
      @MAZ732 4 роки тому

      I’m not disputing what he achieved in his career but he’s not the greatest boxer of all time, that’s a fact. He is without doubt the no1 as a sportsman.
      Ali was racist and he often made racist comments about white people, blaming all whites for black peoples struggles.
      Africa was given back to black people and what did they do, well nothing really, just let it fall apart, corrupt leaders exploited their own people, causing internal wars, fractions and famine. Now they beg ‘ white nations’ for hand outs, while still criticising whites for stuff that happened 100’s of years ago.
      You don’t see Jewish communities crying every 5 mins about what happened to them. No!
      They picked themselves up after mourning their dead, started again and look at them today!
      Much respect for them that rise up to tyranny and exploitation and prove their worth instead of whining about history.

      Mazz, the man made a statement and that was his attitude at the time. He was a legend. He will never be forgotten. He had a unique personality, generous, showed class and speed with a style like no one else. A poet. Y
      Yes, he had his flaws about white people but he mellowed. I get your point some people have a victim complex about their color like Megan Markle. But Ali was round the time racism was massive towards black people, and he was a role model for black men back then. Now a days it exists but not so much, its a minority. Some black people are racist, some whites.
      Either way racism is wrong.

    • @manaharav
      @manaharav 4 роки тому +2

      He loved little children. I believe he was the son of a desperately poor sharecropper and had to struggle for everything throughout his
      early life. Due to the time and circumstances of living in America, his main experience as far as what life offered him was hatred for the color of his skin, brutal apartheid like policing, and violence and distrust of his fellow man. I believe deep down he had kindness in him, but in the volatile 1960's he never had the support system to help him thrive as a coloured man, like Sammy Davis Jr. Because he died under mysterious circumstances, in the shadow of the greatest decade, (Ali,Foreman, Frazier, Norton and Holmes, later Tyson) he has slipped into undeserved obscurity. Before the Internet, it was easy for society to look at fighters as disposable meat.

    This is one of the rare documentaries where Liston explains why he didn't get up after he was knocked down by the "Phantom punch"- in their second fight. Forget about all of the barbershop conspiracy theories about Muslims, the Mob- and a "fix". Liston got hit with a short right hand- and went down. He said that he could have gotten up- but Ali was running all around him- and he was leery that Ali might try and take a cheap shot at him while he was still on the canvas. That's it in a nutshell! We will never ever see such a character like Mohammad Ali till the end of the world.
    And he turned his suffering from white community into a full success.
    Imagine that; THE OLYMPIC CHAMP can’t order a regular meal 🥘 on a regular restaurant 😐.
    #WHAT a INJUSTICE!!

    Haha the British commentator during the fights is, shall we say, a tad sensitive? Ali asking Terrell, "What's my name?," gets an "Oh, dear!" And Ali shaking his head, indicating Frazier hadn't just hurt him, is daring to treat Frazier with contempt :)

    The restorer of boxing. I listened to the clay Liston fight seriously I thought Liston was gonna catch him scale him. Fry him and eat him. Nobody could beat this Sonny . Not after Floyd's crushing defeat. But when clay got the victory and the belt. And the stage I became a believer in the lip and until now he is still my champ.
