VR is only supported by specific games... This is fairly universal
I use a vr headset but im still thinking of using real gauges even thou im not going to be able to see them....why.....I have no idea but it looks cool.

Ther are a lot more expenses on top of this, trailers, racing insurance and racing licences it also easier, its right in your house! You cant have a race track in your house

Wow all this for $2000? My dream wheel, pedals, shifter, and ebrake costs like $2100 from fanatec.
I built my dream setup for under around 800 bucks.

@@VossWaterKim I dont know what that means, but its thrustmaster T300 RS GT with shifter, built my own custom cluster. I can upload a picture of it, if you would be interessted.
@@azzorzer the t300 is a belt driven system which is definitely better than what I got rn. Direct drive is the best feeling base you can get for your wheel but it starts at $1,000 so it's really only for those hardcore people but my god do I want one

How has the wheel aged? I was interested in getting a T300 until I saw all the negative reviews and poor customer service complaints from Thrustmaster.
I can't comment on Thrustmaster support as I don't need it yet. everything great. I've been using the steering wheel myself for about a year. I am currently using a real car steering wheel with the Thrustmaster pedals and the base.

Hey Dude, i really enjoy ur project and u inspired me to do something like this. But can u give me dimensions of all wooden pieces? Thanks :D
I belive the dimensions are dependant. If i were you i would start with chair you wish to sit on while driving. The height of that chair above the ground should do a base for the height of your wheel. Along with the deepth of reach to all of the things. So basicaly start with the chair... But dont forget that measures might get change if you put even a small screw under the chair. You must feel as much comfortable as you can. Even if it is a real ferrari chair but you feel more comfortable with lets say WV golf chair then stay with wv... Same will go with the shifter and pedals. Some cocpits have separate modules. That one in the video is a whole piece of cocpit :] some may say that you are crazy going with even expensive simulating wheel like TM500 or better and you could do something real with that money. But once u do it they would like to drive bugatti chiron in that setup of yours anyway. Dont give up. Dont rush with build and base. Dont get mad if you screw up measures or something. You will figure out what to do :]

Very impressive! I always wanted build a racing rig ever since I bought my racing steering wheel, but I'm on a tight budget. I did manage to take a foldable car seat from a mini van and build a custom chair out of it.
Same here currently in the process of building an old 2001 VW Polo racing simulator with working AC and a few more little features including a radio for music and wired up gauges at the end of the year or when I get most of the parts I will be posting on my channel the whole story so stay tuned if you want to see the finished result
