We had two different popups when the kids were growing up. This one reminds me of our 2005 Fleetwood Bayside, but with more conveniences. We have such fond memories of our camping trips. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!
We just purchased the same camper and we LOVE it. We also purchased the hanging pantry, clothes organizers, and pop up dish rack, and they make life very convenient, thank you for providing links!
We live in Florida too. We've considered this type of camper but concerned about bears! LOL. It looks great. And I really like the outside refrigerator.
What a great video, I’m originally from Jersey been down here since 09 on the west coast, me, my wife and 3 kids are pass holders and ended up buying a 2006 Palamino pop up and remodeled it, are first time using the camper was at fort wilderness we went two other times after that, everything was amazing but the one thing i have a problem with is that Shelly sand we set the camper up! We have to clean the mats and make sure kids take shoes off such a headache, paved area is more! We may upgrade to a newer pop up or a hybrid! Love how you guys got the slide out and the bathroom all in there we don’t have that and are fridge doesn’t work well highly recommend getting a black stone portable grill it’s amazing!
Thank you! We are planning a 4,500 mile road trip to do with our Pop up. It seems like everyone has fun adventures. Thanks for watching, happy camping!
This is the biggest one they make, they do have other ones with slides as well.😂 thanks for watching and subscribing and we will definitely check out your channel, have a great day!
Thanks for the video, very insightful. I am new to this scene and have 2 questions. 1, I'm a really light sleeper and thinking that there's no noise deadening? 2, Can it be used in a real northern winter?
The bathroom provision, I'm afraid, would be a deal-breaker for me. I wouldn't want to use the bathroom in front of everybody, even though they'd turn their backs when someone is going. And I'd avoid going #2 in any RV unless there was no other option.
What amazes me most is I have a 2000 Camplight popup camper and we were looking into seeing if a new one was worth it.. But seeing your video Ours has the exact same layout as this one. Mine doesn't have the outside fridge but everything else is the same.. I guess they don't want to mess with Perfection ..lol
I have done all of the above. It's loud and you can hear the rain. It sucks when you have to set up or break down in the rain, and you will need to let it dry before putting away or you will get mold. We ended up trading it in for a travel trailer, much less work!
I believe MSRP is around 16-18k. However, with the camping surge and limited inventory it may be hard to find. I am not sure what area you live, but we are in Tampa and do NOT recommend where we got it from. They were terrible and ripped our canvas and damaged other things.... RV one is a no no! Good luck purchasing your camper!
Thanks for the tour. It’s amazing pop-up ! Here in the Netherlands we have an old model Fleet Wood🤗 , but it stil working great ! Could you please give more details about the price and where you can buy it ?
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with the dealership where we purchased our Pop up so we cannot really recommend a dealership. I believe a new Forest River 2716 can be purchased in the range of 16 to 19 thousand depending on the availability.
Ok I have another question! The outside fridge...do y’all plug it in at home the night before a camping trip? That way the fridge is cold? Or do y’all still take a cooler? I’m trying to eliminate taking a cooler since there’s two small fridges. Thanks soooo much!
37° in a pop up? 😳 lol. I’ve done that in my regular camper but I’m curious how the heater kept up with that all night. Especially since you’re sleeping right next to the walls. I’m sure the heated mattresses helped out a lot
Funny story, the first cold night, it was miserable. I guess the dealership didn't do the first "burn" of the furnace so our fire alarms were going off so we were hesitant to use the furnace. After figuring out the furnace settings, the 2nd night was not as bad, but I was often cold just because I am a Floridian and not used to the cold. Would I want to camp in the 20s and 30s again in a pop up? No, not really 😂
Great video! Just got our first pop up. 2022 Rockwood 2318 ESP. Also thinking of a trip to Disney, so how was Ft Wilderness? Have yall been to Ft Pickens yet? We love Pensacola Beach!
Thanks so much for this video! Does the indoor fridge have a freezer? Any regrets with this model? Trying to decide if I want to spend the extra to get the high wall.
We have no regrets. We also were interested in the high wall, but decided with this one. I believe there is a small freezer box section in one of the fridges, however, I have not used it. I am afraid it's not really as cold as a freezer. I will try out, and let you know!
Hi, Thanks for a great review. I actually just bought the same model. Quick question for ya. What is the name of the organizer ya have above the Sink? My wife is going crazy trying to find one like that at Walmart.
I’m looking into this model as well. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you end up paying for the camper? Most don’t have AC so it’s kind of hard to compare what people are paying. I too would HAVE to have the AC.
I can't seem to find it on the walmart app right now. Next time I am there I will find the name of it and let you know. It was the aisle where you find laundry bags and such.
@@unplugandplayoutside7553 yes, we plug the fridge into an extension cord the day before. We still end up bringing a cooler, because we do leave the campsite and still need it.

What a great video I have the exact same one and I love it . Happy camping and what a great looking family.
Thank you! Enjoy your weekend.
Thanks for the video. We are looking into this exact model ourselves. AC is definitely a MUST in Florida.
We love our Pop up and sure you will too! Best wishes!
yea
Just subscribed to your channel! Amazing videos! Cant wait to see more!
Thanks
Great video thanks for sharing!
we have the short wall. I definately would have gone with the high wall. much less work in set up and take down.
We considered it but at the time we wanted to keep our GVWR and GCVR within a specific range. The highwall models are nearly 1,000 pounds heavier.
bought this recently - didn’t have any available to your so this video was a huge help. Looking forward to picking ours up in less than a week.
Congrats, Happy Camping!
Sick! Looking at the 2318G - smaller but will fit in my garage
We live in Florida too. We've considered this type of camper but concerned about bears! LOL. It looks great. And I really like the outside refrigerator.
Haha yeah, I definitely don't recommend camping anywhere where bears may be, I have thought the same thing :)
Great job - you made this fun! A great perspective for the modern family outing!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!

The older models have a walled bathroom instead of a curtained one. And I'm with you on the #2--and #1 only at nighttime.

Thank you for the tour. My wife and I are tent campers and are looking for a pop-up down the road as we feel it would be most like tent camping.
It is, with a little extra room :)
Great video! My wife and I are looking seriously at pop up campers at the moment. Does the air conditioning truly cool off the inside of the camper?
Yes, it does keep it cool!

Congratulations on your new popup. I just bought the 2318g model of forest river. Little tweaks to it but love it.
Happy Camping!
Do yall use anything extra to tow it such as a WDH or sway control kit? Just bought my first high wall and ready to take it on our first trip!
No we did not. Although a WDH wouldn't hurt it at all.
Shouldnt the kids get the king bed since they are 3? Lol makes more sense to me… but i love your set up

In the middle of summer, how cool will the a/c keep the camper?

If I remember correctly the camper itself was around 14k, adding AC was 1200, and then taxes and fees...I believe out the door it was around 16k.
AC is nice until the roof leaks and you have to replace it.
It is worth the chance, AC is a must here In Florida.
