I remember doing this with 3 kids..5 total...worked great...should have kept the popup...but we got camper envy and bought a travel trailer...we hated every minute of it and sold it less than 2 years later....now kids are grown and we are back to the popup..now its just me and the wife and a 85 lb doberman...works great👍
When I was growing up, our family would spend summer vacations during the 60’s and 70’s in a Nimrod. All it had was twin double beds. These pop up campers have one a long way! Wow!
I think this is wonderful and also teaches the kids early to be frugal. When I first hears “the kids have about 4 outfits” I initially reacted negatively but honestly if they are all a happy bunch and they seem to be then really they are all learning to be SUPER LOW MAITENANCE which is awesome. You guys as a family of 7 live more efficiently than myself and my pups. Thanks for the awesome video and hope your future continues to be blessed. ✌️
Love the set up. We had a small 8' pop up for years. It fit my wife and I, my son and daughter and our dog. On many occasions, my wife's young cousin came with us well. We now have a 19 RV for ourselves, we passed the pop up onto my daughter and son so they can start their own memories with their 'future' families. So many years of amazing family time.
I think you just saved me $90k. $65k for a diesel truck even though I have a low mileage truck and $25k on a new trailer. You totally convinced me a pop up is the way to go. Thank you. You’re all awesome.
yeah similar here... we were going to go buy a new full on camper for like $15k, but then also realized we had to get a new truck or bigger suv to haul it so that'd be another $25k or so. Ended up just putting a $200 hitch on my current suv and bought $2k pop up and done! Love it!
When our 3 kids were young, we had almost the same kind of pop up camper. Great memories! Now that they are in college my wife and I got a full size camper. Still making great family memories
FANTASTIC video! We are just my wife and I and we moved up from a tent to a teardrop and with the addition of a yellow lab, are now in a popup. More than enough room and since we have limited parking room for a camper at home, the fact that it is compact when parked is wonderful. I can have ours backed in at the camp spot, unhooked, set up and utilities hooked up in 10 to 15 minutes. Actually less time than it took with my full sized trailer years ago.
We started in a tent with our girls when they were young. We started to build a teardrop 20 yrs ago. But in tye past 5 years, we decided to scrap that idea, and look for a pop up, since we never got very far on it (caring for parents, and cleaning their homes out took up a lot of our time that we couldn't spend on the teardrop). Found one 3 years ago, and love it! Our older basset, who helped us break in our new to us pop up has passed to the heavenly campground. We now have a young one who will have even more adventures in it. One of our girls we introduced to caming has take to bike camping in a tent, and so times uses a larger tent for her and her boyfriend, when he can drive. Our older daughter has bypassed the smaller campers, and sprung for the larger camper with her husband and two kids, two dogs, and sometimes a cat and/or a bearded dragon.😊
This was adorable!! Love love love how you guys are making it work for you. I love seeing how creative families can get to accommodate everyone and have a great time!! Lovely set up! Thanks for sharing ♥
We had our first camper, a 1991 Starcraft, 12 foot, no AC, no slide, it was just the two of us . Then we upgraded to a 2000 shamrock, which was great for two and a grandchild or two. But room was sparse when it rained. Our third camper we went out and bought a used 2013 Z1 crossroads BHS301 , 30 foot monster. Pull it behind a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 , 5.7 litre. We live in Manitoba, Canada which is flat and only a few hills that are 300 metre elevation in parks near riding mountain national park. But I love our pop up camper for introducing us to this lifestyle
This was absolutely amazing to watch. I've only got 3 kids our trailer is 28ft with one slide. To see you all so close and comfy together is kind of something I want
Bought my Pennine pathfinder (British built ) pop up or what we call a folding camper .It can sleep six adults is top of the range camper with all the home comforts . Bought new in 2004 ,it has proven to be one of my best ever purchases . We have travelled through Europe and through our homeland of Wales and the UK . It has saved a small fortune in hotel bills over the years . We love camping ,but we also like to be comfortable . People are very friendly on the smaller campgrounds which we prefer . Camping is freedom and a adventure. Happy trails ❣️😀
Thanks for the video, I love the sheet divider for the girls bed as I see this being an easy solution to when they want their "space" when older. The storage bins for clothes is GOLD!
Wow!! You just proved that a big family doesn't need big things to be happy, small things can be made big with love among family members!! I enjoyed watching your video!
We used to have a 1998 starcraft just like yours but without the slide out. We loved it!!! We don't need that much room anymore now that the kids are grown. So now we have a teardrop. 😁
We had a pop up when our kids were young. One thing that is helpful for storing your rain windows is to cut a 3/4 inch dowel the length of each window. Unzip when you arrive and, beginning at the top of the window, roll the window around the dowel, keeping it pulled out as you go. When you get to the bottom the window, with the window wound around the dowel, snap or tie the ties around the rolled up window. It keeps everything nice and neat and it’s easy to unroll when your are ready to zip the window back up. I had noticed that is what they did in the shiny sales brochure to make it look neat and tidy.
Love our ‘78 Apache Ramada pop up camper we recently just purchased. We are a family of 6 ( now 5, oldest is out of the house) and we all fit comfortably. We have been tent camping for the past 15+ years, although we love it, we are wanting to do some fall camping, so a camper is definitely the way to go for the rainy season.
I use bins for us as well! Hubby and I can fit 4-5 days worth of clothes in ours, and kids could probably pack 10 days worth since their clothes are small! It works so well. No wet clothes and no bags all over! Thanks for the tour!
Yes! You really don't need much! Especially if you can fit in going to the laundry mat at least once (we don't usually camp for more than a week at a time) :)
Awesome little pup you have there. I have been owing 12 foot popups for over 14 years. Had Flagstaff 625D, Jayco 1206, and Jayco Select High Wall. Ive done boondocking, resorts camping, state parks and amusement parks. Current model is the Jayco Select 12 HW. Clothes storage is easy with foldable Cabelas Dresser, other mods you can do are the suspension rod storage systems
Pop up is the way to go before owning a camping trailer or an RV. We treasure our as well. We camp out more than 12 times a year and we never regret owning one. Happy camping ...
Thatz Giant ! We slept 7 in our 1995 Coleman Fleetwood "Columbia" Ours is 18' x 6'4" We bought it refurbished. With a brand new roof A/C $1200.00 We love it so much. Use it all the time. So glad you love yourz as much as we do hours. It's simple clean Unforgettable family fun and memories all in one. We always love looking at other people's pop-ups as well admiring the various ingenuities that each company has
We fit 6 in a 2002 Coleman/Fleetwood Mesa. Part of the reason we can all fit is that we don't have a toilet in the camper. We love our state parts and KOA, because within a state or the KOA system you know what you are going to get when you make reservations.
You look like a great family. My dad and mom had us four kids, so we were a family of 6 and traveled many vacations in my youth in a popup camper. My husband and I just bought a 2012 Starcraft camper in excellent condition for $1300.00!!! The guy wasn't looking to actively sell it, but he had three boys and a wife. He had it for a few years until his oldest (16 year old) needed a car. He said they were entering a new phase of life with their boys. It was a blessing. We will start taking trips in the Spring.
Thanks for all of the info and great videos! I purchased my trailer and uploaded my first video today!! I have been a sponge, soaking up any knowledge I can these last few weeks. I am so excited. Life is such an amazing adventure. Keep up the great work!! I love watching your family and all of the smiles.
This was awesome! My wife and I want to do more camping with our kids and this definitely shows us that pop-up camping is much more feasible with our 5 kids than we had been thinking. Thank you for making this video.
This family put smile in my face, that was awesome, you going to have great memories with you family and sometimes memories are wonderful to remember and talk about it
Our 8 person family fits in our pop up. 3 teenage girls, one ten year old boy, 2 parents, and 2 grandparents. Our pop up is setup a lot different though and where their kitchen is we have a bench that turns into a bed and where they have the bench is where we have our kitchen. We also have air conditioning.
Great video. Excellent family. Been looking at a lot of different options. Didn't know they made popups with slides. Nice option. Blessings on your travels. Your kids will always value these memories.
Wow!! I just have to say, I am very impressed with how well you guys make this pop up trailer work so well for your family! Thanks for the fantastic tour!! Also, you've just gotten yourself another subscriber! :)
I initially wanted a pop up. We did get a pop up. Except it has no canvas. It’s an A Frame hardshell pop up. Made by Aliner. Anywho, I love the vibe in this video. Made me go back into child mode and think how much I would have loved moments like this. Hey, when y’all need a bit of good distraction jump over to my page. I read children’s books. Happy travels and many more family bonding moments.
We had a pop-up camper but quickly came to realize I needed a bathroom 😊 we have all girls.. and this mom was tired of waking up at all hours because someone had to use the bathroom. Shower time was hard with my young girls. So we bought a cross between a pop-up and a travel trailer. The bed are like a pop-up but it has a full bathroom 😊 camping has become so much easier for me now
We camped for 15 years in a Coleman small pop up with four humans and two dogs comfortably. Just upgraded since youngest is going to college to a travel trailer. We loved the pop up but the set up take down was a pain and in Florida it usually meant getting wet in that process. What wonderful memories though and your kids are lucky that y'all take them camping. It's the only way to go with a family....food is cheaper and healthier and it's a lot more fun to ride bikes or play outside than sit in a hotel room and watch tv.
Very nice, You have a beautiful family. Its so great to see A Family together .. Interacting with one another and not on phones , tablets .etc .God Bless .
This was so helpful! We actually have six children and my husband and oldest two kids are all over 6ft, but this does help me see how it's still doable.
Nothing wrong with a small house and a big family. My parents bought a small house, three bedrooms, one bath, family room, kitchen. They added on as the years went by and could pay cash. Best years of my life rooming with my best friend, my sister. We buried my dad three years ago. My parents were married 60 beautiful years. No family is perfect, but you know you did something right when the main thing your children remember is love and the values you taught them.
Well this video just helped us decide to get out first pop up camper. I love how you have it decorated and the organization tips. Thank you! I just subscribed!! Can't wait to see more camper videos!!
Thank you! And I'm so happy we got one when we did, we seriously have no regrets, only really great memories with our kids :) Thanks so much for watching and subbing!
Thanks for the post, it brings back so many memories for me and our family. I live in the uk and in the mid 70s had a Steury pop up camper made in the USA, it was imported by someone else who didn’t use it in the uk, 8 birth although there were only 5 of us, we have never seen another one. Yours is the only one I have ever seen that measures up to the Steury. Enjoy every moment you have as a family with your pop up, much love to you all.❤️
Great video, And I had a Rockwood model 1980 it had the 2 pullouts and it had a dinette at each end that made beds. I loved it and this just brought back some great memories of mine. Have a blast with your family and enjoy life. Thanks, 👍👍🇺🇸🚙
God Bless you guys! My wife and I have a hard time camping with our two boys. I am going to start using some of your advise to make our camping trips more organized and fun. We just got a high side popup with a small bath/shower room which is nice. Thanks for the vid.
Brandon Darnell oh wow! Having one with a bath/shower is fantastic! Definitely keep trying and find systems that work for you! The memories your family will make will be soooo worth the effort!! ☺️
Brandon, we have a high sided pop up with a bathroom too and I can get two sets of the sterilite drawers to fit stacked on the floor of the shower. We use this as our closet and I also hang a shoe organizer on the inside wall. This has increased our organization and storage so much with my three kids still at home. HTH
We just got a pop up camper. It’s a very small one with a small bed at the back that my boys will share and my daughter who’s the you gets will have the small dinette that folds into a twin bed and we have the bigger bed on the other side. There is also a small couch across from the table which is nice but not much storage which is my only compliant. So I will definitely get one of those plastic drawers! We won’t be using the kitchen area for cooking either
Oh wow! 2 King sized beds would be amazing! And it's not much, but that little bit of space really does make all the difference in the world! :) Thanks for watching, Kelli!
We are a family of 5 and pop up is what we have. We use duffle bags for our belongs. We just put them at the end of the beds. So many great memories made over the last 14 years camping!
Family of five in ours, have had 8 plus a beagle on one trip. An awning with screen sides is a blessing when it rains. We also bring an easy up to put over the picnic table. Sleeping 5-8 people is not hard, but if the PUP is your only shelter from the weather it's not going to be pleasant.
We have 4 kids. Our pop up has 2 king beds on the ends so we fit 3 kids on one and our youngest either sleeps with us on the other king or we have a long bench that slides out to make a twin. They’re so inexpensive so you can use that spare $$$$ to travel instead! Great tour 🥰
Great video! Sometimes I really miss our popup. That was when camping was fun and alot simpler (and less expensive,) We have a travel trailer now and I don't think my wife would ever want to go back.
I have a family of seven also and a pop-up in which we all fit quite nicely. Never occurred to me that this was something difficult or anything someone would be interested in seeing. (And mine doesn't have the slide out for the table area!) lol
If you have rodent problems, buy a couple of boxes of dryer sheets at the dollar store and distribute the dryer sheets in every compartment and storage area, under mattresses, cushions, drawers, etc.--everywhere and anywhere mice will want to go. They are deterred by the smell of the chemicals in the dryer sheets so be sure you buy the scent you can live with. Also, when you are using the camper you can remove the dryer sheets inside where you live and sleep and then replace them when parking or storing for longer periods of time.😎
I remember doing this with 3 kids..5 total...worked great...should have kept the popup...but we got camper envy and bought a travel trailer...we hated every minute of it and sold it less than 2 years later....now kids are grown and we are back to the popup..now its just me and the wife and a 85 lb doberman...works great👍
When I was growing up, our family would spend summer vacations during the 60’s and 70’s in a Nimrod. All it had was twin double beds. These pop up campers have one a long way! Wow!
Because of you I'm not getting a class A Motorhome. This should work perfectly with our 4 kids. 4 thumbs up!
Wow you are going to save lots of money! Consider getting a class c, though.
That's awesome. 😎 We make 4 kids fit just fine, too.
Wow, almost the same here ! I saw a video of a Spark electric car so I changed my mind and dropped my first idea of buying a Porsche Taycan ! 😂😂😂
Thanks for posting this, you just renewed my faith in humanity.
What a great family! Those kids will cherish those memories for a lifetime.
I think you just saved me $90k. $65k for a diesel truck even though I have a low mileage truck and $25k on a new trailer. You totally convinced me a pop up is the way to go. Thank you. You’re all awesome.
This made my husband and I laugh!! Save your money and give a pop up a try!! :)
yeah similar here... we were going to go buy a new full on camper for like $15k, but then also realized we had to get a new truck or bigger suv to haul it so that'd be another $25k or so. Ended up just putting a $200 hitch on my current suv and bought $2k pop up and done! Love it!
We have a KIA Sportage and our popup is 800 pounds dry weight. No problem pulling it.
Thanks so much, Doug! We have yet to master our setting up in 15 minutes...maybe when the kids are older as right now we let them "help", ha!
Oh my gosh you guys are adorable! Such a cute family! Thanks for this post. You are rich!
You are so sweet! My husband and I are definitely rich with our 5 blessings! Thanks for watching, Jeanette!
Home & Arrows Rich Rich Rich 🍻🍻🙏
Smoking hot mom!
YOU GUYS ARE TOTALLY BLESSED... BEAUTIFUL FAMILY !!!!
MAY GOD KEEP BLESSING YOU ALWAYS, AND KEEP PAPA AND MAMA LOVING EACH OTHER, IT SHOWS !!!!
But I love our pop up camper for introducing us to this lifestyle
lol love the blanket the girls put up as a divider
This was absolutely amazing to watch. I've only got 3 kids our trailer is 28ft with one slide. To see you all so close and comfy together is kind of something I want
Oh yeah! Definitely pop up. We are 7 and fit and sleep comfortably in our 97 Yukon camper. Happy trails folks.
Love your layout in your pop-up and you have a beautiful family
Bought my Pennine pathfinder (British built ) pop up or what we call a folding camper .It can sleep six adults is top of the range camper with all the home comforts . Bought new in 2004 ,it has proven to be one of my best ever purchases . We have travelled through Europe and through our homeland of Wales and the UK . It has saved a small fortune in hotel bills over the years .
We love camping ,but we also like to be comfortable . People are very friendly on the smaller campgrounds which we prefer . Camping is freedom and a adventure. Happy trails ❣️😀

Every time we see a teardrop, we ooohhh and ahhhh over it! :)
So fun!
So light!
This is great.

We are definitely looking forward to some fall camping!
My husband was thinking a teardrop but Noooo I need the space a pop up affords! It's awesome
You guys are beautiful. Lovely fam and a nice pop up! Love the cash purchase!
I watch alot of different pop up camper videos, still plan on getting one, love the way you made everything work with 7 kids, you did a good job.
Great video!!! I have such a soft spot for popups!! Love your rig!!! Happy camping!!!
I use bins for us as well! Hubby and I can fit 4-5 days worth of clothes in ours, and kids could probably pack 10 days worth since their clothes are small! It works so well. No wet clothes and no bags all over! Thanks for the tour!

Thatz Giant ! We slept 7 in our 1995 Coleman Fleetwood "Columbia"
Ours is 18' x 6'4"
We bought it refurbished.
With a brand new roof A/C $1200.00
We love it so much. Use it all the time.
So glad you love yourz as much as we do hours. It's simple clean Unforgettable family fun and memories all in one. We always love looking at other people's pop-ups as well admiring the various ingenuities that each company has
It's definitely some of our absolute favorite memories together!! :)
We got ours one week ago can’t wait to start using it
We fit 6 in a 2002 Coleman/Fleetwood Mesa.
My family does 8 in a 2012 Rockwood. No slide outs. It works for them. Grandkids love it. (ages 5-21)
What a cutiful Family!
Our family of 5, and this sold me on a pop up!
This was awesome! My wife and I want to do more camping with our kids and this definitely shows us that pop-up camping is much more feasible with our 5 kids than we had been thinking. Thank you for making this video.
We are right now shopping for a pop-up and we have 5 kids too so your video is more then helpfull thanks !
Oh my goodness! Perfect! It was so hard for us to find a big family that fit in one and showed how :)
I really want a pop up! We have 4 kids. My oldest is already 6ft3 so he’s like two kids by himself.
Well done. Lovely family. Enjoy everyone.
This family put smile in my face, that was awesome, you going to have great memories with you family and sometimes memories are wonderful to remember and talk about it
Thank you! Making lifelong memories is exactly what we are hoping to do :)
What a great family!! Thank you for the video.
Love how you set up the inside. You are so organized.
Omg. Your family is so sweet. Loved this video.

What a NICE family!
Looks great! What a great use of space!

Wow!! I just have to say, I am very impressed with how well you guys make this pop up trailer work so well for your family! Thanks for the fantastic tour!! Also, you've just gotten yourself another subscriber! :)
What a beautiful family God Bless
Wow and I didn't know pop-ups come with AC and heat! Thanks for that info too, along with the tour!
Yes they do!!
Awesome ! Great info ,camper and family !
Thanks!
Damn good looking American family. Thanks for the video and ideas on the pull out. Keep it up!!!
hahaha! Thanks! :)

Fun, adventurous camping trips for the whole family. Love it.
Camping really is the best! :)
This was so helpful! We actually have six children and my husband and oldest two kids are all over 6ft, but this does help me see how it's still doable.
What"s not to like? I love it.
Wow, you look like a great family - five kids, congrats, that's awesome!
Looks like how our family all fit into a small house. A camper is on our bucket list. Hopefully soon!
They are so fun! Hope it can become a reality for you all! :)
Lovely family and pop-up. xx
Thanks for the video gives me a good idea of what to expect from a pop up .
Awesome video! such an adorable family you all have. Looks like you have lots of fun together. Have fun. Loved the video.
Thank you so much for watching! We sure have had a lot of fun and made some very special memories in our little pop-up! :)
Enjoy every moment you have as a family with your pop up, much love to you all.❤️
This was wonderful to read! Thank you! Hoping we are building those same kind of wonderful memories for our kids :)
Great video, And I had a Rockwood model 1980 it had the 2 pullouts and it had a dinette at each end that made beds. I loved it and this just brought back some great memories of mine. Have a blast with your family and enjoy life. Thanks, 👍👍🇺🇸🚙
Thanks so much, Joe! Hope you had a Happy Fourth yesterday!
@@ThisBlendedHouse Thanks we did, And I hope you had a good 4th also. 👍
That's not a bad idea at all it's six of us and we may need to look into this for our next vacation.
Awesome family video. Love the pop- up. It's so homey. 👍👍
Best memories ever! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful family!
Great Family and super type of spending vacations - greetings from Poland!
HTH
Very cute I love ❤️ y’alls family & ur pop up
Thanks!
You both have a beautiful family. really enjoyed the video
Thank you so much!
Sounds like you have a good set up happening! I hope you all make some wonderful memories in your new pop-up!!
I MISS our popup! We had 2 KING size beds on either end, but did not have the slide out. THAT would have made a WORLD of difference for us!
Oh wow! 2 King sized beds would be amazing! And it's not much, but that little bit of space really does make all the difference in the world! :) Thanks for watching, Kelli!
Beautiful family ❤️. Love the smiles. Safe traveling to all of you. 🙏🏻
Great video and a wonderful family 😊
We are a family of 5 and pop up is what we have. We use duffle bags for our belongs. We just put them at the end of the beds. So many great memories made over the last 14 years camping!
Really great idea, love duffle bags for everything
Cool we had 7 in ours. We had a Coleman Bayport. Loved that tent trailer.
Love it!
Great family keep camping and having fun great video makes me want one as well
Awesome! We too have a large pop-up, it's just my wife, myself and our Sheltie and we love it! Organization save tons of work! Nice video.
Can't leave the beagle behind!
beautiful family...smiled throughout
You just popped up and I'm so excited THANK YOU I am now getting one.
The devider curtain for the other end bed is a good idea...
Omg I loved your video thank you for sharing
We have 4 kids. Our pop up has 2 king beds on the ends so we fit 3 kids on one and our youngest either sleeps with us on the other king or we have a long bench that slides out to make a twin. They’re so inexpensive so you can use that spare $$$$ to travel instead! Great tour 🥰
Great video! Sometimes I really miss our popup. That was when camping was fun and alot simpler (and less expensive,) We have a travel trailer now and I don't think my wife would ever want to go back.
I think it would be hard for me to go back to a pop-up after a travel trailer, too! ;)
I have a family of seven also and a pop-up in which we all fit quite nicely. Never occurred to me that this was something difficult or anything someone would be interested in seeing. (And mine doesn't have the slide out for the table area!) lol
I had no idea so many people would be interested either! Maybe you all should make a video too, ha! :)
@@ThisBlendedHouse lol, thanks! :-)
Loved your pop up and you have a great looking family
Super cute fam!
Also, when you are using the camper you can remove the dryer sheets inside where you live and sleep and then replace them when parking or storing for longer periods of time.😎
We've never had any rodent issues, but thank you for the tip! Will keep it in mind in case we ever come across some! :)
