Thats actually a good point. As far as I'm aware, a wiiu should still connect to the internet no problem. It's definitely possible to do with a wii, but more of a hassle unless you have older internet security or a special USB-to-Ethernet converter.
Sorry to make you wait. I had vacation and Halloween plans keeping me busy. This is somewhat of an undocumented occurrence with unclear solutions. I heavily recommend using a 32gigabyte SD card converted to fat32 if you haven't done so already, and also make sure its empty, save for the necessary files and folders. I would also consider dumping files one at a time if you are capable of another attempt.
@@vincentthelego7967 I think what may have happened is I didn't have the most up to date version of every necessary file, maybe? It's because during the process I discovered that when I homebrewed my Wii U, I apparently had already installed all of the stuff I needed to dump the nand. So, when following your tutorial I ended up replacing some of the files, but not all of them. I assume my SD card was already on fat32 because I had already used it to homebrew my Wii U in the first place and had been actively using it with the system to play mods of Mario Kart Wii. However, it was a 16GB SD card as opposed to a 32. I don't have a 32, but I do have a 64. Would you say using the bigger one is better-? Also, another question: does it connect to the internet when dumping the vwii nand? Because, if so, that's probably why it's not working. The whole reason I want to dump my nand and play things on Dolphin online is because I can't on the VWii, because my internet's encryption scheme doesn't work with the VWii. In the past, I was able to create a guest connection on my own and use that, but ever since my dad changed the internet it doesn't seem like I'm able to do that.
Everytime I try to dump, it completes the process, restarts the Wii U, but when I put my SD card into my computer, there are no .BIN files. I search for the exact file names, but it says nothing found. I have 22gigs of free space left on my SD card.
So it sounds to me that it might have worked and that they're hidden files, possibly. To be sure, go to your computer's file explorer - to the root of your SD card - and click on the "view" tab in the folder options. my thinking is that they might be hidden or secret files. Other than that, a few troubleshooting questions: 1. Did you properly format to FAT32? 2. Were there any errors during the dumping process? That's probably the extent to where I can help you. I would personally seek out the *wiimmfi* or *homebrewing* discord servers for more help, as they are a wealth of knowledge and infinitely more experienced than I am.
@@vincentthelego7967 Unfortunately my card is already FAT 32, and there weren't any errors in the process. Also my hidden files are already shown. Thank you for the quick response tho. I just asked the Homebrew discord for help.
@falling_ I followed the guide pretty much to the tee and haven't had any issues. Was there some sort of step you mightve done wrong? Edit: I didn't realize some of the instructions have been updated recently. Some of the guidelines as a result may have changed drastically. I provided new links as a result. I'm sorry I never realized this until now.
Works well, thank you
still works in 2024 btw if you dont have manage nand showing up switch to the latest beta it doesnt work on stable builds

Every time I try to dump the nand my gamepad screen goes a light shade of pink and my TV shows a black screen. Do you know why this might be?

@byndhuman sorry I couldn't be more help. Hope it gets figured out.
It just shows a black screen when I launch my vWii menu
@@falling_ did this start right after attempting? And does this keep happening?
