@tavovargas9257 the specs for this laptop is pretty impressive with a gpu of about a GeForce GTX 4000.

Thankfully, it looks like a few others had a similar idea like another youtuber by the name of Crow. Not sure why that guy stopped posting the OST all of a sudden.

@@supersonicfan325 it sadly didn't live up to my expectations. Not only did it get cut halfway, but there's something about the instrument choices that really bug me. I love the original. But not this version.

@MegaTheman25 not from vgmtrans, to my knowledge. There is a program I recently learned about called "Polyphone" that might do it sounds like you want to do.

Another way I can think of is by importing a .GBA file into audacity and import it as Raw. You'd have to play with settings, but I think the frequency is something like 44100 hz

​@Lordshu-rw9hw sounds like that's at least one you can start with. I'm not sure why you can't find the other builds when simply going to "actions".

Well, for starters, you'd have to make a github account to get these builds. I already have one, and that's how I got the season 2 version of this you see here. Go to "actions" when you get to the source code section on the melonds site. Pick the most recent build available and you're good to go. I will let you know that the current season 3 builds haven't been as good as the one I'm using. With hope, there should be some steady improvements.

@Dan-bz2nh there are a couple of unique sounds, like the steel drum and the "sand psynergy" sound effect, but a lot of sounds are reused from the first game.

Update 8/15/24: there are some good improvements (thank God for the feature that remembers your player name) but still isn't quite up to snuff with the October build I have. It also still can't connect wirelessly, not that it's a huge deal.

Similar situation for me and Hamachi. Oddly enough, I could get it working fine on the old October build.

No biggie. I'm just passionate about all the work that's been put into projects like these. I'll try to credit cory1492 once I get a good chance to edit that in.

@@Itz_Dennisss I know vgmtrans can be pretty picky at times when it comes to loading files. I had to download a specific version to get it working right, so that could be one issue. Be sure that you are using the version that I used in the video, otherwise you might have issues. I know for sure that Phantom Hourglass, Prime Hunters, and Dual strike all work fine. If those games work, it might just be the .nds file not being compatible, or perhaps the version you're using not having it. If they don't, then you might not have a good working version, or you loaded the file differently from me.

@sunsetdomingos3414 a few things to ask b4 I can properly diagnose the issue: Are you using the most current version of MelonDS? is this phone or desktop? Are your bios and Firmware files set to .bin? Finally, did you set the primary and secondary dns files up correctly?

@falling_ I followed the guide pretty much to the tee and haven't had any issues. Was there some sort of step you mightve done wrong? Edit: I didn't realize some of the instructions have been updated recently. Some of the guidelines as a result may have changed drastically. I provided new links as a result. I'm sorry I never realized this until now.

@LightningWarrior_10 significantly less, for sure. Its insistence on redos definitely is its most critical flaw. but even then, it just at most gets me to shrug my shoulders and sigh.

@vincentthelego7967 Well, it shows up 52100 when I use wifi, but when I use mobile data, it connects, but then the players don't show up...

​@@Erdemkhishig So i think it's specifically because youre using this method on phone, you can't really connect. You will need Bios and firmware files to connect to wifi, at least on phone. I believe thats because the phone version of MelonDS is not quite up to date to my knowledge. On desktop, this method works fine, with no hiccups. It took me a second to realize this was the YT short video, and not the full i did a few months later. I added that to the related videos section now. That might help you out with your problem a lot better than this vid.

Thats actually a good point. As far as I'm aware, a wiiu should still connect to the internet no problem. It's definitely possible to do with a wii, but more of a hassle unless you have older internet security or a special USB-to-Ethernet converter.

It's still by far one of the most unique dungeons in zelda for that notion alone.

That's actually not a bad idea at all. Zelda hasn't really tackled Rogue-like elements all that much.

Here's hoping it can change some people's minds. Or at least get people to actually play Phantom hourglass.

@@vincentthelego7967 Turned out real nice. I prefer this over any of the official Hawke renditions. The Reboot camp version added some cool stuff, higher fidelity samples are always nice, but overall it just... didn't hit as hard, you know?

If you're referring to using duplicates of firmware, then it shouldn't be a problem. To my knowledge, they dont mind using the same bin files, as they often end up up being unique profiles anyway. The only catch I can think of is that if you're caught cheating, both firmwares get banned.

I would use it to exchange Pokemon from melon emulator to Nds console. I tried several firmwares online but they all gave error 23971, which (from what I understand) is the code of the banned firmware. in this case I hope there are no problems with firmware dumped from ds

@inazumasprint sadly, I don't have knowledge of emulator-to-original hardware to help you out. Well, at least regarding DS. DS wifi connectability is massively out of date compared to the generation after it. Never had luck on actual hardware.
